My Polish Grandmother would simmer the trotters until everything fell apart. She would bone them add bay leaf, garlic, peppercorns, and juniper berries, then simmer them. She had glass rectangular containers that she fill with the mixture. Then into the refrigerator to cool and set. The next day was pigs feet jello with rye bread and vinegar for seasoning! POLSKA good eats!
Hello Ralph thank you for your awesome support and kind words my Nana, which was my great grandmother would make everyone a block of hog head cheese every Christmas that sounds just like your grandmother. I truly appreciate you sharing this awesome story with me about your grandmother so now when I want (hog head cheese) I treat myself to KOEGEL’S head cheese and it is Delicious and it’s made right here in Michigan thank you again have an amazing day and a great holiday👍🙏🏼🤗
I clean my pig feet in water then boil for 30 minutes then drain and wash again then season with onion powder, garlic powder, salt and black pepper. Putthem in a large pot and fill with water. Add 2 or 3 bouillon cubes, beef or chicken, 0ne chopped onion and let cook on low boil for 3 hours. Then I add pinto beans or any beans you like 2 cans and cooked rice or small pasta like elbow macaroni. This is a delicious soup recipe. You can also ad carrots and cellars if you like. Thanks for your recipe, it looks delicious.
Pigfeet looks good, My Great -Grandma showed me how to cook Southern foods, 😅since i was a little child, 53 years later, I'm still making them pigfeet like my great grandma.
Hello Sherman Shaw thank you so much for your awesome support and kind words. You have an amazing day. Send me a recipe that you want done and I gotcha.👍💯
I love pig feet! They are a favorite of mine. Two additional things I do is to use a disposable razor to get rid of any leftover hair before cooking. Also, I allow them to sit on the stove until room temperature, then chill overnight to allow the flavorings to really absorb into the meat. If you can stand to wait that long, you will be rewarded! I love that you made a video about cooking pig feet. Thanks, Mama Ray Ray!
With the exception of the hot sauce, we use pepper flakes, which they used to call seeded peppers she cooked at the old fashion way I like the way you did them they look delicious💐👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙋🏾♀️
First time watching your channel and I know this video is a year old but i will say today 4/19/2024 that your pig feet looks delicious and I will definitely use your recipe the next time I cook some because I'm southern too 😃 and was raised up on eating pig feet , hog maws , skins and pork sausage and etc.
Happy New Year 🎊🎆 Mama Ray Ray! Those stovetop #PigsFeet or #Trotters as some old school southern people call them look so delicious. Thanks for continuing to make your delicious down home recipes on this fabulous channel! 👍🏾💯😋🐖🐖🐖🐖

Thank you Mama Ray Ray for another recipe I can try for my pig feet since chitterlings are too high to buy. For the people that say this is slave food. If they work for somebody besides themselves start eating because you are still a slave to society.

I've not had pig feet but Dad has made braun from it, and its delicious on bread with slaw or pickled cucumber. Do you thicken the gravy, or eat like soup? Serve over rice like the Jamacians or Koreans? How do you eat them? Thank you MamaRay for the year feeding us, your fans.🥰🥰💋💋 Happy New Year!!

After we take out the pigs feet can we make a cornstarch slurry 2T x 2T and add to liquid and boil to thicken and pour over rice.
