I'm cooking some today they be done by 8 pm
I had to look up slurry. :-)
11:00 am and now I'm hungry mouth watering hungry. I grew up in the mountains of East TN and the only pigs feet I've ate were pickles. I believe my mom didn't cook them because both my parents were raised poor in eastern KY. I never saw my dad eat soup beans(pintos) because that's all he could evere remember eating, maybe goes for pigs feet as well. Some people call this soul food other country food, but no matter what it's what the poor folk are years ago, now it's considered a cuisine to some rich folks.
Anyway I have about 4 in my freezer and plan on cooking them for my Christmas dinner. I've been trying to find a Creole or Cajun recipe but yours comes close. And mmm mmm mmm they look good. What do you think about like a Gumbo style with okra and smoked sausage? On yeah one more thing, more hot sauce for me. Merry Christmas and God bless and thank you for the vid. 😁
I love a side of food with my hot sauce! And yep, soul food is food for the soul and that includes all people. Tell us how you enjoyed your Christmas pigs feet and I'll leave you to make that gumbo as I can do without okra.
I use water hot sauce is the garnish. Cornstarch no😢 low simmer for 2 1/2 hours and no stirring I like to eat my pig whole and intact
Sounds good!
I love pig feet and mustard green
