this lecture is so basic maybe thats why its so easily understandable. your prof who spent years and years studying and researching isnt going to make something so complex as simple as this cuz it just cant be simply put. youre wasting money neways by thinking transcription, replication and translation are as simple as this lecture loll.

@@AncientViolin well, first, if you are a good professor, you would present it in this simplified manner to get the basic idea across. Once the interest is peaked (through understanding the big picture) it is a lot more effective to feed students the details.

Because professors are not trained to teach. Just because you are considered an expert in a field doesn't mean you are a good teacher.

@@AncientViolin most classes we all take are basic introductory courses. There's no need to be so in depth but it is very important to understand the basic concepts so you can grasp and remember the more complex concepts. I agree with the original poster.

Nyanna's summery: So DNA replication does not create RNA as you can tell by the T instead of the U. It creates a single DNA strand. It copies the entire length of the DNA.
Transcription creates occurs at some areas and creates an RNA for protein synthesis and the DNA (used only as a template) is wound back by the ...polymerase holoenzyme (??) for prokaryotes.
