Our journey through Vietnam took an exhilarating turn as we wrapped up our unforgettable two-day cruise in Halong Bay and made our way to the bustling streets of Hanoi. With eager anticipation, we decided to spend our third day in the capital exploring the famous Train Street, a unique and slightly nerve-wracking experience for a first-timer like me.
Having heard tales of this narrow residential street where trains pass through just inches away from houses, we couldn't resist the chance to witness this spectacle up close. The comparison of daily life and the roaring passage of trains is a sight to behold, creating an atmosphere that is both thrilling and a little bit scary.
As we approached Train Street, the vibrant chaos of Hanoi's streets gave way to a narrow alley adorned with colorful facades of traditional Vietnamese houses. Locals calmly went about their daily routines, seemingly unfazed by the imminent arrival of the train. It was a surreal scene, like stepping into a different world where the ordinary and the extraordinary coexist.
The train schedule is already posted so you can anticipate its arrival. We positioned ourselves at a safe but incredibly close distance, feeling the ground tremble as the train approached. The loud horn signaled its impending arrival, and within moments, the train rushed by with incredible speed. The sheer proximity of the train is enough to send a shiver down your spine, making it an experience that lingers in your memory.
As we immersed ourselves in the unique ambiance of Train Street, we couldn't help but capture the moments for our upcoming vlog. The blend of excitement and nervousness painted the expressions on our faces as the train thundered past. It's a thrilling encounter that adds a distinct flavor to the culture of Hanoi.
Looking ahead to our fifth day in Hanoi, we are bracing ourselves for an early start. Our journey continues with a 6:30 AM limousine ride to Sapa, promising more adventures and breathtaking landscapes.
