*I'm **_SO_** excited!* *You are going to Da Nang!* I can't *_WAIT_* to see your vlogs from there! That's where I want to retire! *_SO_* adorable that the guy shows you how to work the door, and you, in turn, show it to some random person!
I drove Hai Van Pass many times from Phu Bai, where I was stationed for 22 months, to Da Nang. The first year it was a one way dirt road, then in 69' a two way and paved. I left in Dec. 69'. It wan't as pretty then, but I'm happy its nice today. I love your videos.
Thanks for the vid. When we visited DaNang in April we contemplated taking the train to Hanoi. One gets to see/experience so much more of the country via the rails. But once we realized how long the trip would be and the cost vs. flying we decided to fly. Glad we flew but happy we were able to see the train experience on your channel
I'm in the same situation. I've purchased a flight Hanoi ri Da Nang but contemplating going on the train instead to see more sites and more of an adventure. Not sure what to do ,🤔
I remember they had a '5 Star' train which used to go only between Saigon to Nha Trang. I travelled there and back one time with some friends, It was awesome
The train I got that to/from Sa Pa (well, Lao Cai) was, shall we say, less luxurious. In economy, wooden bench seats overnight. This was a long time back though (2009?), its probably a lot better now.
Ms.Van Vuuuu, I really admire you for your hard work. Apparently, I came here to learn English and wanted to know how a Vietnamese blogger introduces Vietnam culture to other countries, but well now I'm so addicted to your videos. I wish I could crash the subscribe button 1000 times. Keep up the good work
Awesome video dear sister thanks to makes this video now I will take next month this trip so I get useful information from your video thanks again sister
Hey Van! I’m from India, I have been binging your videos non stop for a couple of days now trying to learn more about the Vietnamese culture and lifestyle, i have a trip planned to Phu Quoc in September. Just wanted to say, I absolutely enjoy the energy you put in making the videos and make them so entertaining! I would love to see you react to some Indian stuff as I sense a lot of similarities in the culture. Anyway, thanks for the videos and I wish you well!
I'm a Swedish and been to Vietnam 🇻🇳 already 15 times...I will visit amazing Vietnam again in September 2022...Vietnam is very nice amazing and Vietnamese people are helpful honestly.... YOU CAN BE PROUD OF VIETNAM 🇻🇳 and bac ho.
I could not hold back my tears every time I hear the song "Hello Vietnam" when Vietjet airplane landed. As a Vietnamese living abroad, I miss and love Vietnam.
I too am Vietnamese, but I finally had a chance to go to Vietnam in 2018. I don’t speak Vietnamese, so I went with Gate 1 travel company and they were the best. You should check them out if you want to go.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING THE NIGHT TRAIN FROM HANOI TO DA NANG!!! This was one of the highlights of my trip 4 years ago. I didn’t know what to expect. I’m 5’10 and I can assure you that their is plenty of room to stretch on the top bunk. Plus I like that my large backpack fit easily on the stowaway compartment. I was fortunate to have a quite train. My meal was the same as the other passenger except it came in a tray. Regardless, it was delicious. Great meal to start the day. But the best part was view. The train ride was when it really hit me, how beautiful Vietnam is. If you look to the left the train you will see turquoise shorelines and to your right you will see every shade of green till you hit the mountain. From their you see hills to mountains in shades of purple and blue. Really beautiful. On top of that you get to see water buffalos, rice fields and people tending to them. Thank you for making this video. I’ve been telling people about this train and now I can show them. Best! 😆
Thank me you so much WhatThePho for this video, I was able to take my son through Vietnam we used a sleeper bus Saigon to Danang and the sleeper train Danang to Hanoi and we loved it !!!❤❤❤
What a meaningful trip! Since I keep track of your youtube channel, I have to say that it generates much more driving force for me with the goal of learning English thanks to the fantastic life experience and your English voice and intonation.
Love your channel. It has given me so many ideas of where to go in Saigon and so many idea about foods. Heading there in January, already got my plane ticket. Have to meet my friends parents while there also. Thanks for an earlier video letting me know what to expect..
My buddy and I took a sleeper train from Sa Pa to Hanoi back in 2019. It was a 12 hour train ride. We opted to take the train ride instead of a private taxi for the experience and aI also got car sick when we took a private taxi to Sa Pa from Hanoi. Our sleeper cabin was meant for four passengers, but it was just me and my buddy because we paid extra not to have two strangers stay with us. Let me say, it was worth paying the extra because we had more room to ourselves and more privacy and also we can be ourselves. We didn't do much on the train as we just slept throughout the ride.
I like all of your videos. And I hope that you can make the transcript in English. Because I want to enjoy and even learn English from your videos. Thanks
The room is for four persons, that's mean the passenger should sharing the small room together ? Passenger can book the room only for self ? & pay more for 4 beds ? Is not easy sleeping on moving train, because of the noisy train way. What ever Thanks so much for sharing with us Van. Good luck ! 😄👍🙏
I was in Hue and Danang slightly more than a month ago, and it was hot. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. About trains, it would be wonderful if there could be a special train service linking Danang, Hue and Hoi An. This service could start by using existing track with augmentations for stations, and sidings to allow bypassing.
@@duongnhdn, glad to learn of the touring trains. That said, I wasn't thinking of anything fancy, but rather something utilitarian, and much more frequent, a type of commuting transit for residents and tourists alike.
Train trip from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi is what attracted me to VN. I read the trip was only $100! It costs me $50 to do a five hour trip from Detroit to Chicago on Amtrak, so the VN trip was quite a deal. My sleeper was not as luxurious as yours. The window was a tad dirty on the outside, so video along the way was not brilliant in colors. Because of some visa issue that delayed my trip, I took the train to Da Nang instead of Ha Noi. Other than the noise of constant construction, Da Nang is the place!
You cant compare American prices to countries like Vietnam, India, Thailand etc. It's night and day. $1000 a month can live well in these countries but nk in US.
I am defo trying this out soon. I would really love to meet you soon and perhapes collaborate with you. I really really do love what you do and will appreciate learning from you. I live in hanoi at the moment. 😍😍
Did thar trip in March of this year. The bathroom is basic and usually pretty gross. I also noticed the attendants just folded the same sheets and pillow that we used the whole trip, for the next passengers! Also the windows were so dirty on the outside that you never got a really good view of the countryside. Oh and someone came in at 4:00am to take the last berth in our cabin! Weird. Still, it was an adventure and I loved Vietnam.
Hi! Thanks for the great video. Helping me a lot in my planning for my wife and I’s trip to Vietnam. Just a practical question: I see the top berth sleeper tickets are the cheapest. Can you still see outside the window while lying in bed, or is it too high up to see outside without concerted effort? 😄
Hi Ms. Van I don't have any idea what kind of train will I board from Hanoi to Danang. I want to take a night train to save much of my time. I follow most of your vlog and enjoy watching it.Thank you and more safe and enjoyable trip.
Hey! Loved the video 🙌🏼. I’m traveling to Vietnam in a week. I want to travel from DaNang to Hanoi by train. What is the best website to book train tickets?
Tip for crossing street in Vietnam: Many tourist foreigners scared of traffic in VN . Don’t worry about it! The rule to win this fear is keep routin slowly walking when you across the streams of motobike! -motobykers knows how to avoid you themself in chaos-order! remmember do not run and stop suddently , accident immidiatly ! Don’t be affraid off and do it if you want to be safety in the crazy- rule traffic in Vietnam.

I've never been to Vietnam and always wanted to go. I want beautiful things to see like the water, mountains, take bike/scooter tours, beaches, nightlife and hit up some museums where the war was and stuff. What do you suggest I do? I can spend 2-3 weeks in Vietnam and when should I go? Like October, November? I just wanna go so bad but, not sure where to fly into and where to stay and stuff. Also, please please let me know where is the best place to meet local women? I love dancing and fun, maybe even find my future wife. What a beauty you are, wow! The only sleeper I had in Vietnam many moons ago as a Marine was a sleeper in a hole of dirt--what progress...
