That was a great video, Very Steep hill climb and She Mows right through it, up & down.... Forward & Reverse.... she Mows very good.... Meditation to the wonderful sound of Mowing... LOL...Thanks for the Footage. :)
I love your tractor! I used to sell Simplicity yrs ago and had a couple of the equivalent to that one. Loved using them. The ones I had though were left hand discharge. Mowed great, just didn't like it putting out on that side.
Thanks! It does ok for my needs but sometimes wish for the heavier machine for the loader, but not often. My deal is mostly mowing on a bit of a hill so the size and CofG was what most interested me. Good luck with whatever you choose!
Just bought one of these with the loader and backhoe. I have a 54" zt and I'm trying to decide whether to sell it or not. I'm sure the tractor would take longer but it would be one less machine to maintain over the long haul
Nice video. New subscriber here. Have been watching some of your other video. Nice job. Didn't know MF made mowers, have been watching a lot of MF tractors. That MF does a good hill climber.
I just bought a 2019 1725. It's time to mow. I was wondering where you set the outer wheels on the deck. My yard is not very flat. Kinda like yours. I mowed with a 48 inch zero turn before.
Deck wheels (anti scalp wheels) are set to the highest position. The deck is so heavy they don't really do bugger all, and the plastic wheels are very expensive to replace. Keep them lubed! They are called anti scalp wheels but all they really do is help lift the deck over obstacles, they dont set the deck height. You will probably need to cut your yard a few times to let it come to terms with the new mower. Going from a 48 to a 60" is a huge difference. You'll be scalping some new spots and missing others. Its just how it is! I mow at like the 2nd position down. The height adjuster is a pita, 1 slot is like 1/2 or 1 inch. Not a very good setup!
I have the 1715 Massey. I notice you have your deck wheels lifted, I let my deck ride on the wheels instead of letting the deck float. is there a reason you lift the deck wheels or is it just operating preference?
+Jacob NeaseCouple of reasons... The wheels are too expensive to replace to often so I'd rather not wear them out. I set the cut height on the dial, not the deck wheels. I have a heap of roots in places and the small wheels get caught. I believe if the deck was supposed to ride on those wheels, they would be bigger.
+Mickhippy totally understandable. I will try to float the deck. I mow commercially so I'm sure you are right and they will wear out fast. it is a lot of stress on just a little caster wheel. thanks for the response. glad to see another Massey man.
+Damien Bock Not entirely sure yet. I could do it in about 40mins with the SZ. No way I'll do it that quick now and dont really care either. I will time it one day, start to finish and let you know.
Nice stripes! Quite a hill climb there too. Your tractor climbed it very well.

+jeremy yeoman Thanks for watching!
Does a excellent job, I like the Massey Ferguson over the Kubota bx. I m looking at buying one here soon or getting a 1726e.

Hang onto the mower for a while and see how you go with the tractor.

@@mickhippy thank you. Just came in from mowing. Grass is deep and wet. I moved them all the way up. I'm mowing it all real high.
where is this? beautiful nature.
+beeqool Gold Coast Australia. Cheers
When mowing the steep hill, in forward and reverse, did you mow in 4WD?
Yes, 4wd and low range.
Any videos of removing or installing the mower deck?
Ive tried twice before but its difficult holding the cam as well as pulling pins etc. I will get one up, I just need a hand to do it.

No problem and good luck.
What rpm do you mow at?
how long does it take to cut your yard with the Massey compared to the superz?
