    Great Video!
    Reading is the most important habit because we gain many years of knowledge in couple of hours.
    I even use an iPhone app called "mustread" which helps me tracking my books and rating!
    Keep reading guys!

    I am so happy I stumbled upon your channel in 2016. I have a lot of videos to watch when I need something to remind me of the things I should be doing. Thank you Marie!

    Ugh, I loved War of Art!! It's one of the books I always suggest to others who feel like they are stuck in the mud. LOVE IT! I can't wait to read Do The Work.
    Thank you!

    Hi Marie...Love all you have going on here...I love people who have high expectations and expect that from the people around them..Anyways I just thought I'd share an idea that I'm implementing right now..feels appropriate for this and that is Creating Inevitability..Something I learned from Eben..Make a commitment to someone for something that is MORE painful then the idea you're trying to make happen..and tell that if I don't do my activities that I will do the painful act instead.

    Just bought "Do the Work" on Kindle...I have been to for a while. You totally adore the guy don't you...you just light up in the video (like you don't ever in your videos!) xxx

    Thank you for this video. I have been feeling very inspired this year to follow my heart in my work but feel equally terrified about it. I know I need to leave my current career and create my own path - which is super scary. This video (like all of your videos) has motivated me to keep following my intuition. Thank you for all you do!

    So I know that I’m 7 years too late, but I only recently discovered Marie’s channel and I am really glad I stumbled upon this particular video. I too have many simultaneous ideas and have been procrastinating for years so I have years of ideas and no idea of which one to finally start doing. The notion of starting with the one that freaks you out the most is a HUGE help and although it narrows it down quite a bit I still have a few pretty big scary ideas to contend with. But it’s a great start and I can’t wait to read both books to get more insights. Thanks a mil!

      Leah S On that path too. I think I’ve finally set the wheel into motion after all these years, but it’s heavy and I need more effort through the resistance to create momentum (Tony Robbins compares to launching a rocket). Those books might be a stepping stone... Hope you’re further on your path now and going for it! 😉

    downloaded the book. Kindle for Mac is a weird format and thus far the book is a lot of fluff, but I gotta say when I get to the golden nuggets, they really are quite golden! Thank you so much for sharing. I am implementing it right away and I'm not even done yet.

  • @quitejaded
    @quitejaded 13 років тому +1

    @marieforleo A month later... I must say thank you for posting the free book. Like I said, I loved the golden nuggets I found in the book, but I notice how much I have INCORPORATED those nuggets into my every day life and how much I help my friends using the advice I learned in this book. So I just felt the need to come back and give further props. Thanks!

    Hi Marie, I totally agree with the idea that a book doesn't have to be novel to be helpful. Succinct is great. Am reading The Dip by Seth Godin, a good example of quick to the point information and ideas. Will def be reading work by Steve Pressfield.

    Thank you so much for your videos, Marie! I relate so much because I also have many different things I am really passionate about, and work towards making a business of. My first mentor always told me just pick one.. that it's single minded focus that leads to success. However, I can't live without doing the others as well. Still figuring it out but your videos have helped me a lot.

    • @brunosco
      @brunosco 5 років тому

      Medina Lake Same. I couldn’t just pick one, though. So I decided I’m not x or y or z, I’m my own brand, creator of my own crafts, where each craft can be either a t-shirt design business, a music band or project, a coaching thing... I see them as projects rather than careers! So pick one anyway, one project, then when on track or a goal is achieved, moving on to the next project, and also combining them together! I’m still at the beginning though, still experiencing resistance, so I guess I should read that book! And Barbara Sher has been talking about us like being “scanners”, where we should embrace these multiple things rather than sticking to one...

    Big Takeaway for me: What is your long range calling? Keep that in front of everything you do so that you do not lose focus on where you are going.

    Dear Miss Marie -
    Ive written this comment 5 different times and I keep getting kicked out of my dang HP Pavilion 7. i had multiple issues needing repair on this computer . so I oly use this computer ofr editimgl
    I was searching for the books you recommend - I would LOVE to purchase them. However, the free is great too. The book youre giving away, would be SO AMAZING.
    I tried my HARDEST to try to find it. I clicked on the link you have, and it says the book is no longer available on amazon.
    I am a photographer who has been in a 2 year creative rut - I dont even want to take it outside to shoot AT ALL.I know its been a couple years when it WAS available.
    I am a photographer and an editor, I am absolutely needing a kick in the pants.
    I NEED HELP!!!
    is there anyway that I could still get a book, or sign up for a book?
    Being that I am a decent photographer, I would LOVE to send you an an image which this choice is yours and yours alone -
    (i couldn't sent framed because of it become 'broken' AND the image would be ruined by the time it arrived to either of you. HOWEVER, I would LOVE to win the book, im in a terrible rut, and haven't photographed i about 3 YEARS. -
    SIGNED,
    spiritually and creatively stuck. can you help?
    thank you very much,
    Kimberly -.
    (sorry for the typos!!!)
