✨HOW TO HAVE DAILY DEVOTIONS AS A BUSY MOM / what I’ve learned as a mom of 3 / tips & resources

  • Over the past four years, while becoming a mother to three little ones, I’ve had to learn how to still have a devotional time every day, despite late night nursing sessions, or noisy toddler interruptions.
While my Bible time doesn’t usually look perfect, and I don’t always walk away from it with some huge new discovery, I have learned a lot about still making time for it, even as a busy, young mom.
I am super hopeful that this video will give other moms out there some tools for having a consistent Bible time no matter what season you’re in.
Don’t give up! Strive to connect with God every single day. ❤️
    Cheers!!!
    Sara

You are an amazing, godly mother. I pray young mothers are finding you on UA-cam. I am an empty-nester of 4 yet love to hear your practical wisdom to glean for my own daughters, who are mothers and home makers.
I use to have Bible songs on in the background when my children were young. Even when they are busy, they hear the songs.
    Thank you for sharing.
PS You look great for just having a baby 😊

Just found you! What a breath of fresh air thank you! I’m a mom who is sinking lately especially in my Jesus time. I used to rise early but after the birth of my 7th I have been depressed and just stuck. You have given me inspiration!

Can you please make a video about your hair routine?! I have curly hair too and always want to know what products people use, how you let it dry, and how you refresh it on non-wash days. Thanks!

Oh, thank you for the video idea. It’s taken years to try to figure out how to tend my hair, but I like it now. :)
I actually only wash it once or twice a week. Usually in the morning. Then I will put in a leave in conditioner. This really has made the biggest difference with my hair looking less frizzy. I will comb or brush it out and let it air dry.
Usually it only looks good down for the next day or so, before I tend to resort to dry shampoo and messy buns, or other simple hairdos that keep it up.
I did a video on simple hair dos that I do, that are easy and take basically no time.
Lately I’ve been washing it, adding some gel or leave in conditioner, then braiding it, until it’s completely dry. That way I can still wear it down for several days afterward without it looking too crazy!:)
Anyway, there is my hair routine. It’s pretty simple. :)

I was just watching an old video yesterday!! It’s amazing to see how much your family has grown☺️. Another UA-cam channel I think you’d really like is dry creek momma. She shares a lot of homeschooling/marriage wisdom you might enjoy.. I believe she has 7 or 8 children that are all grown now.

Really appreciated this video ❤ Happens to have come along at a point that I’m feeling really unhappy and convicted in my devotional life and digging into God’s word, so I really love the encouragement to take this more seriously right now. I’m thankful to have your wisdom and Godly influence 😊😊

I've been on a month-long hiatus from youtube, for all the same reasons you quit social media last year. I came back today specifically to check if you had posted a new video. You have (again) filled my heart with so much love and comfort. Thank you for sharing your love of God and encouraging us on our paths towards him, especially in such a busy season of life as yours. I'm looking forward to checking out the resources you shared, they sound so promising. Sending love and blessings across the Atlantic (and kinda wishing it wasn't there so we could hang out because dang girl, I'd love to be friends with you) ❤✨

I appreciate you so much!! You are a Blessing. My sister in Christ I'm so proud of. I love that you are staying home with your children. I got to do that for 12years. Best times in my life. Very challenging, but all so worth it. I have 3 sons 14, 11, and 8 years old. Been married 20years to my love Jonathan.
I also liked hearing your talks with your husband. What a blessing yall are!
I teach 3year Olds now. Still praying for a job from home. I'd love to be a freelance writer and write various books. Big dream, God can make it happen if it His will.
Love yall! %ods Blessings to you❤❤❤

Hi Sara! My name is Alex and the photo you see is my husband. I watch UA-cam on his account and he is an art teacher. 😂 I wondered if you could please share where you got the brown journals you showed in this video along with your bible please? I loved the colors of the journals and want to do more prayer journaling along with bible time journaling. I just looked up your gratitude journal and I will be ordering. What a blessing for mamas. ❤️Thanks for Letting me know if you can.

Thank you for the tips! I've just gotten into the second trimester with my first, and know it won't be long before my little one can hear what I'm doing... I've never been good at holding down the habit of daily devotions - will do it one day, go four days, go a week, maybe even go two weeks, and then think "you know I haven't done that in awhile." I'm trying harder now, for my own good and also to set a good example for my child. Will take these tips to heart! :)

I don't love being on my phone but for me, the easiest way to get my Bible time in is using the Youversion app and also listening to podcasts. I like the 4.13 podcast with Jen Rothchild, the Her Pursuit Podcast (for moms), American Campfire Revival and the Candace Cameron Bure Podcast

When He wakes one of His children up or “keeps” them in a restless state so they are unable to fall asleep to begin with, it usually mean He wants your attention on Him NOW, for whatever His reasons are; do not ignore those rare moments because as you said, they can end up being something that will always stay with you as a conformation that He cares about even the smallest details of our lives. Lastly, it is a call to obedience and with obedience, blessing will always follow in one form or another. P.S. have you ever listened to John MacArthur(pastor of Grace Community Church in the LA area for 54 years, has had the radio program Grace to You for decades, and is the one who started the Masters College and Seminary where many of today’s top biblical counselors and pastors have graduated from)? He is theologically rock solid and has been the greatest instrument in God growing me up in my faith and teaching me how it all comes down to obedience; not perfectly, but steadily and directionally.

Yeah talk about no life at all. Real caring moms are busy and don't feel the need to ask for praises on social media exposing their loved ones to strangers. Bunch of moms this generation are idiots
