- Hey guys, this morning I was flooded by a bunch of hashtags with the keyword ‘cancel korea’ on my recent videos. Some of you also politely asked me to share my thoughts on this issue that has been hurtful for many Filipinos, so here I am! The things I’ve mentioned in this video are 100% based on my personal opinion, I do not represent the whole of Korea but I hope you guys also understand where I’m coming from. Thank you always for your love and support, and I am sincerely sorry to everyone who have been hurt by this issue.

As Indonesian, I've visited the Philippines several times. Filipino society is very kind and friendly. Very different when I visited South Korea, several times got racist behavior, They see me as a disgusting and poor person. Even though it hurts my feelings, but I will not generalize all Koreans to behave the same. But sorry, South Korea has a serious racism problem. As from ASEAN Countries, I always support Philippines. It's more fun in the Philippines.

I have a Korean Co-Worker who hates the Japanese. I keep telling him how Japanese people are polite & respectful.

as someone who grew up in SoCal, I like both Koreans and Filipinos but it’s much easier to make friends with Filipinos and they are more open minded, less tempestuous in mood, and not as serious.

@Sergeant Major Gross i do agree that to filipinos the measurements of intelligence is learning to speak english, but to be honest filipinos are very fluent when it comes to English especially Bisaya speaking people, and as a person who speaks English ever since i was young I was always complimented on how smart I am because when I speak english I sound like an american but i did ask them why they think like that and it’s because mostly the language here on our text books is in English so as a person who can understand English very well of course we our considered smart for we can understand the module more clearly and more faster than them, and actually its kinda like a filipino comedy of being fun of your English grammar and we filipinos just laugh at it to be honest and we never actually put the comment to heart, even I sometimes pretend to speak in English in a Grammatically incorrect way because its all for fun, tease and games.
I dont know if you grew in the ph but if you did you would’ve known about it already, and the other thing it’s because usually smart people in the ph knows how to speak english and are very fluent so i think its also kind of a stereotyped.

I watched a video of koreans reacting to Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach. And one of them says that Pia is very beautiful but filipinos don't look like that when I went there. Like wtf. The fact that almost majority of SEA countries side with us is because of how we are treated in SK. However, I am sure not all people in SK are like that. I think SK should improve the teaching system implemented to the morals of the children there. In order for this issue to not resurface again in the future.

When I was in Seoul, I was the only one (from among my co-faculty) who would regularly eat breakfast at the hotel, and the people I ate with were super pleasant. There was one old guy who was always at the breakfast table. He immediately knew we were Filipinos because he had lived here for a long time, and recognized our language. I've worked for Koreans for 17 years teaching ESL. In that 17 years I only had one boss who was very kind to me. He is a Christian and treats everyone with love! The rest were abusive and only thought about making money. Since then, I've changed career and now work for a Spanish company. I have met some good Koreans and I still have one good friend and he is my brother for life! He actually said that and I was so touched! He comes here and spends a vacation in my house for a week every now and then. We both got our backs and I will treasure our friendship!

I've been living in Philippines for couple of years and have been to Korea as well as a tourist...
In my experience I have to say Filipinos are the nicest, most welcome and friendly people on earth. Who said that they have low education system? God, Philippines basically using english as their major language and most of successful foreign people in the US are filipinos.
I have to admit Korean can be racists and get rude sometimes specially to those who have dark skin colour...when you have to choose your supervisor between Korean and Filipinos I have to say I prefer Filipinos cos they usually are the kindest and their english are mostly good, therefore it minimize the misunderstanding and language barrier. This is based on my experience so don't attacked me for sounding my opinion and no, I am not filipinos.
@Hayley S. I know, but its a start since English is a universal language, and almost great book about politic, science, etc are written in english soo like it or not those who are good in English have higher probability to be more educated than those who are not.
Like I said before, it is based on my PERSONAL EXPERIENCE when I am dealing with people in those two cultures.

I am just trying to open people's mind who thought that Filipinos are uneducated by giving them my years of experience living in the Philippines. as for Koreans I was only mentioned about their attitude towards their foreign employee/partner cos I've ever dealt with several Koreans / Filipinos in different length of times, thats why I dare to came out with that opinion cos it is based on my work experience: English is very important to make workflow better.
Well, I don't know the quality of translated book in Korea cos I've never read any korean translated book, but in my country and in my own field (medicine), I find way better understanding reading from the original english text book/ journal as compared to the translated one. 🤷
