Sorry for the late comment, but for those who don't know, during the Korean war the Philippines sent 7,420 soldiers to help defend South Korea from NK and China and lost 113 Filipino lives in the process.
The PH also contributed to rebuilding SK's economy after the war (Yes, PH was surprisingly not poor at that time).
Check out the "The Battle of Yultong" on UA-cam if you don't believe me or if you're curious.
My point here is not to brag nor to look down on anyone but to highlight the brotherly bond between PH and SK ever since which I believe a lot of people are unaware of.
And this bond should always continue in spite of these "trivial issues" and a few crazy individuals on the internet. 🙂

Korea for us filipinos is a properous country while Philippines is still regarded as third world country where rich people(especially politicians) become richer and poor becomes poorer. That's the fact on the ground.

The former president of south Korea, Park Chung-Hee. He was high rank military officer of imperial Japanese army.

Hong Sa-ik (Korean) was class A war criminal and one of highest ranking general in the imperial Japanese army stationed in Philippines. He was the one causing massive suffering for Filipinos during WW2.

There were 240,000 Korean soldiers (including 9 Korean generals. Yes NINE, 9 Korean generals) in the imperial Japanese army.

The only Korean who actually fought for Korean independence was Kim il sung. Yes the founding father of North Korea. Yeah! That North Korea.

A lot of the Imperial Japanese soldiers during the occupation of the Philippines were actually kind and friendly with the local civilians and even mingled and socialized with the Filipinos and even protected them from collateral damage when fighting the guerillas. Many Filipinos often stated it was mostly the Korean Conscripts who were often sadistic and cruel bayoneting Filipino babies, raping women and little girls, and engaging in massacres of civilians in the Philippines and burning Filipinos in buildings.
History is funny like that. Things aren't black and white. History is full of ugly shades of grey! Most Japanese soldiers were good and decent men who were inhumanely brainwashed and forced to fight for an evil regime and just followed orders! A lot of Korean conscripts in the Imperial Army during the Second Sino Japanese War and World War 2 were sadistic and brutal murderers yet they don't represent most Korean conscripts in World War 2! Not every Japanese soldiers were bad and not every American soldiers were good. Good and evil fights on both sides. As a Korean myself I want to tell my fellow Asians in the Philippines that I love you all just as I love my fellow Asians in China, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and even North Korea. I hope we can all stop with this divide between out people's and that Korea can one day be reunited.
