Why is rthere a row of VERY wide stitches? And why are both edges curled up so tight? Is this the way everything comes out? Can you knit a panel or only tubes? So many questions!

The row of wide stitches is there because they dropped a stitch. It’s not meant to happen but is very easy to do. It’s curling due to their tension. It needs stretching out :)
