Making of Buddhist Monks' Robes

  • I had an opportunity to observe the robe-making process of the Buddhist monks of Wat Pa Namthip in Yasothon, Thailand. I don't propose to know anything about this ritual other than being a curious layperson. Thai is not my first language so I tried to do my best in piecing together this story. It was a fascinating experience and I feel fortunate to be able to offer a glimpse into an ancient tradition. I am grateful to Luang Pu Bunchuan Khamla for his generosity, patience, and good humor.

    I have always liked this color I have a pullover that is this color that was at the store that nobody else wanted to buy I guess but I love it what can I use if I want to dye some material this color

    They are more brown than saffron. Some wear crimson too.
