These guys opened for the bouncing souls when I saw them in December. I wish I knew of these guys before then so I could sing along but wow their live performance energy is unmatched.
"Special Thanks to: All the kids that showed up to be a part of the freezing cold video shoot..." I still remember that day, it was a fun experience. Expected it to be a fairly quick deal, couple hours, play the song a few times and get a few shots, but man it was, what, four hours in there, five? And how many times did I have to listen to the same song over and over and over again? I'd go back and do it again though, I'd say it was worth it, everyone there was cool and it was a good time.
First time listening to this band, and i have to say AMAZING. It's like all my favourite bands mixed into one. although the rawness of the lead singers voice kind of drills through m head after awhile. :P
i searched for som punk band on google, found strike anywhere, searched on youtube, click on the first vid and i knew i would like this band as i heard the first chord
That was my first concert. A good ten years ago in Dortmund, Germany. With my, then, best friends. Friends that I let go, because I'm terrible at keeping friends. Times change. Now I'm sitting here, dwelling in memories and regrets. I've grown so much. But then again.I'm kind of still the same. Live is strange. For those that are wondering, the band was awesome live and I bet they still are.www.asscardrecords.com/images/60.png
@radioactivexkid Have you heard Zack's old hardcore punk band? Back when he was Straight Edge. It's called Inside Out. That definitely did not hit the main stream. Haha.
Yes in America also exist only two parties, which both don`t fight against Communism. I`m from Germany, we also have Socialism parties (10% last election) or other Social parties which try to make Capitalism more Social. I don`t think Strike Anywhere has much to with Anarchism because they use the Iron Front emblem so often. The Iron Front was the paramilitary Organisation of the German Social Democrat party (which is now the second biggest in Germany) back in the 1920s.
+nocontrol628 they're both good, but still don't compare to Change is a Sound. That album is fucking incredible start to finish. The other albums all had some boring parts and some songs I completely skipped over. I feel kind of bad for them though, I thought they were gonna go on to be so much bigger but it seemed like their fanbase got smaller over time.
@radioactivexkid why does every one compare this band to rage? is it cuz the dreads? haha cuz their music isnt similar...just the political aspect but so many bands are like that
wikipedia: "The Iron Front (German: Eiserne Front) was an anti-Nazi, anti-monarchist, and anti-communist paramilitary organization formed in Germany on 16 December 1931" - Fuck yeah German Socialism ftw!!
@daybreak1HP ok musically they arent fantastic but at least they have somthing to sing about, cant say that about all crust punks. yeah the song is meh but the message is dont get lost in ideas of patriotism and end up hating groups because some organization tells you to. thats not a shitty message
when you sa "communist" you actually mean "leninist" or "stalinist" which is not communist by any definition - it is a state dictatorship. The Iron Front was pretty much all communists/anarchists... I don't think you know what communism actually means (nothing personal, most people don't after >100 years of disinformation). The 3 arrow logo that Strike Anywhere use is the same as the sticker that was posted over swastikas in the '30s by anti-fascists (and that I proudly have a tattoo of :) )
@radioactivexkid I like RATM but I never understood why they recorded for Epic, which is owned by Sony, one of the largest corporations in the world. They were supposed to be anti-corporate, right? Seems a betrayal of their supposed socialist ethics. Strike Anywhere seems much more genuine. They talk the talk, AND they walk the walk.
@daybreak1HP emo? apparently you havent heard of inquisition or maybe you'd have a different mental image of this band. this is tried and true punk rock son. or maybe i missed the emotional aspects of this song. that one line where he sings about loosing his girlfriend and loving simple plan is a dead giveaway...oh right thats not in here.
These guys should be huge. Such pure emotion and strong messages in their music.
I love these guys Propagandhi is my favorite
Seen them live 4 times so far and have never been disappointed. Thomas always enters the stage with great energy and gets the crowd going instantly.
These guys opened for the bouncing souls when I saw them in December. I wish I knew of these guys before then so I could sing along but wow their live performance energy is unmatched.
I was born in East Meadow , but raised in Richmond and I gotta say these guys rule! Love melodic punk/metal!

First time listening to this band, and i have to say AMAZING. It's like all my favourite bands mixed into one. although the rawness of the lead singers voice kind of drills through m head after awhile. :P

I always loved them but I gained so much more respect for them when I saw them live. Their fucking spot on.
Whether it is from the right or from the left. We must stand against any government tyranny, that will destroy our freedom.
Que humildad la de ese batero. Tocando con Sabian B8. Genial

@Krysowski these guys are quite socilist as well...

geil ^^
Reminds me of Billy Talent. These guys are solid.
here's some truth - any band who plays in south korea is harder core than any band who doesn't. SA rule. even if they suck, they rule.
@WarMachineNI So that's the only thing holding you back? C'mon, music is deeper than just the sound.
Every comment is from so long ago. Here's a new one!
correct! both bands are great.. and RATM is way more revolutionary to me though... nobody will ever touch the funk of RATM
same
fucking good song
such a good video
st. pauli football club patch!!!

Fuck yes!

@rafta182 Exactly.
I basically jizzed in my pants when I saw Obama's sign.
FUCK YES
@XaosZhero I think you misunderstood him =/
Problem with Strike Anywhere is they peaked too soon. Chorus of One and Change Is a Sound are so good that they had nowhere to go.
mooseven not true. exit English and dead fm are awesome.
+nocontrol628 they're both good, but still don't compare to Change is a Sound. That album is fucking incredible start to finish. Holy shit I hear Anxious in this ._.
@punkhippe Buck Ofama.
@poorqualityvids You mean "until I saw him on stage."
The guy looks like Dexter Holland from the offspring during his smash days . . .
@etrgtrtr Yeah!
@radioactivexkid why does every one compare this band to rage? is it cuz the dreads? haha cuz their music isnt similar...just the political aspect but so many bands are like that
angry octopus :)
Strike Anywhere = Anti Obama! That's so damn awesome!
@spankyrevolution same lol
I think of a like a punk Blink 182 when I hear this
cheesy video. awesome song.
a verlos en el wros fest en Chile!
la wea la zorra!
grr the beggining always yells yells at me :(
wikipedia: "The Iron Front (German: Eiserne Front) was an anti-Nazi, anti-monarchist, and anti-communist paramilitary organization formed in Germany on 16 December 1931" - Fuck yeah German Socialism ftw!!
@radioactivexkid Ugh, what? are you trying to compare this to rage against the machine? oh i see the word "kid" in your username... nevermind then
@daybreak1HP ok musically they arent fantastic but at least they have somthing to sing about, cant say that about all crust punks. yeah the song is meh but the message is dont get lost in ideas of patriotism and end up hating groups because some organization tells you to. thats not a shitty message

@radioactivexkid RATM was more Social Political and SA are more direct action political
@radioactivexkid
yes, strike is good; but no way do they make rage look like posers.
@radioactivexkid RATM posers? Throw that crack away man, it's affecting you quite much
@rafta182 I wouldn't consider them communist.
Same as Obama is considered a socialist, in The Netherlands he would be more right-wing than left-wing
@xeneizembajador No, they aren't skinheads as you can see..
@DieOpelgang Rise Against pretty much sucks now. Lol. In my opinion, they were at their best with Revolutions Per Minute.
@radioactivexkid posers? u must be a highschool kid... because the only "posers" in the adult world are models.. kids.. be yourself..
sou bundudo
Fashion by formula….
