It really was cute, I kinda always wonder if guys actually ARE overreacting to their pain, or if they just laugh afterwards to “Mask” it (pun not originally intended but it was just right there)…anyway, I once waxed my dad’s eyebrows at my stepmom’s request (Yes, I’m an experience and licensed professional) and y’all…the dude CRIED. He tried to play it off as “It’s just my nerve endings reacting to blah blah”, but he FLINCHED!! Men have a lower pain tolerance than women and I think we shouldn’t expect them to handle the same levels of it that we experience. For example, I’ve broken a couple ribs (Okay, on a couple of occasions. I’ve broken four ribs.) and I took a day off work to confirm it, but I went back to it after that….I mean, broken ribs aren’t even in the same zip code as the ballpark for cramps (For me, anyway), so I think it’s only fair to give cis males a little breathing room when they say they’re in pain. Just bc it wouldn’t hurt us doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt them. It’s a delicate balance, tho, cause if they figure that out and their ego gets involved, you’re out of luck.
There is no over reacting to this form of suck It's nothing more than a coping mechanism,to help quantify why anyone in their right mind would do such a thing.

The grittier addition will help replicate the mask’s purpose while also ridding your pores of the mask. I’m glad I could share info of use, & hope it’ll prove helpful!!

I think us men are more sensitive to pain on our face. I basically reacted the same when I had the brilliant thought of having my eyebrows done by my sister. I don't think I've ever suffered as much as then. And I've been in hospital a few times in my youth.
I think faces are just very sensitive. Women who do this stuff often might be used to it but plucking your eyebrows the first time will make you tear up no matter your gender
A lot of us women pluck or wax stray hairs on our faces. The lower hairs on our eyebrows hurt more to pull than the ones further up. Pulling lip hairs hurts, too. I find pulling underchin hairs the least painful.

It reminds me how the nurses were rubbing my skin with plastic dishscrubber to REALLY MAKE SURE those leads don't fall off. That my raised skin would better " grab " both the glue AND the sticky tape. I tole my Pop and he thought I was making it up. This was for a " stress test. " Boy did they deliver.
I did this to my husband during Covid lockdown. Was bored and talked him into a "spa day". Got the same result as Megan. Much whining and squawking. THEN, we proceeded to eyebrow plucking. You'd think he was being murdered. It was hilarious and I enjoyed the day tremendously.

Black masks are great! Clubman barber line has a good one. It works better to roll it off, start with under chin. Its best if it is cool, stand in cool weather wind or freezer / frig after it dries.

My sister had me put on something similar one time. It was blue instead of black but it was also a blackhead remover mask. I have to say he is not overplaying the experience. As the mask dries it makes your face itch witch has you wanting to get it off as fast as possible but it has to dry completely to work witch takes quite some time. And then comes the actual removal part...
Or llamas getting their nails trimmed. We had one that acted like we were pulling her nails off, rather than just trimming them. 🙄 _Pay no attention to the screaming next door, folks_ . . .

If you have to go through this again, put lots of lotion, let it set a minute, then more lotion as you peel it off. This worked for me.

My sister had me put on something similar one time. It was blue instead of black but it was also a blackhead remover mask. I have to say he is not overplaying the experience. As the mask dries it makes your face itch witch has you wanting to get it off as fast as possible but it has to dry completely to work witch takes quite some time. And then comes the actual removal part...
