Wow folks! Sam & I have been reading the messages in-between getting some jobs done before he leaves tomorrow. We just wanted to say thank you so much for all the kind words of support. I promise I'll try to reply to as many as possible as I usually do next week. It's just a bit hectic this weekend, as you can imagine. Bec & Sam ❤
*_ Hi, thanks for the great videos... it's a way to escape city reality. Please name the music tracks on Epidemic that you used in the episode. Regards from a Sunny Cape Town, South Africa _*
Deciding to finish the roof was smart, windows can wait. Congratulations on getting accepted for the fire fighter training and job. Our son has been a firefighter in Toronto for the past 20 years, they work 24 hr shifts which means they work 7 days a month. Leaves plenty of time for another job. Just make sure you al.ways wear safety equipment, breathing apparatus etc, so important.
I always smile when Sam says things like "It's all I know how to do..." (about joinery). Just take a step back buddy. Look at what you've achieved already. You are definitely *not* a one trip pony and you have many more strings in your bow now! And if you ever need to "advertise" your work, just point people here to see how accomplished you've become at many things and what an amazing grafter you (and all the family) are.
Not just grafters which of course is amazing, but they are clearly, very kind and loving family! It is so lovely to see the consideration they show each other. What role models they are fot their children and the rest of us too? So much respect. 🙂
What I love about this channel is how much Sam and Becky build each other up and talk so positively about each other. It is so rare in the world now but is so wonderful to hear. Hope the training goes well for Sam :)
I live in Australia and we truly respect our fire- fighters. They put themselves in dangerous situations to protect people and properties. Knowing you are becoming one Sam doesn't surprise anyone because you have a good heart Sam. Your beautiful Bec will hold the fort and you are right Sam, your Bec is a beautiful, capable partner in life. Your roof crew are champions it looks amazing. Cheers 👍👍❤
Lovely to see another Aussie has found this channel. I totally agree all our forces, but especially fire fighters in the summer months, hold a special place in our hearts.
Congratulations on becoming a brother firefighter. It is a brotherhood of thousands of men and women. The few, the proud, the insane, while everyone else is running out of a house on fire, we are running in. Your wife, children and neighbors should be proud of you. I think you will cherish the memories you are about to experience. I have found no matter where on this world I have traveled, I am always welcomed to any fire station. Well done.😊
Becky, never take on any advice from people not to talk too much, you are really god at it, it's part of the channel, so F them. Sam, no better man for the Fire Brigade Crew...I wish you both all the best of luck in the next few months with everything. Can't wait to see the finished roof next week. It looks awesome... Dessie and Francie have done ye proud. Great lads
Exactly as a 62 year old woman who has never renovated a home, I love everything you do Becky. You can talk all you want the way through and I would listen in awe ❤
Having the gift of small talk was something my Irish mom had and tried to teach me - I never was articulate enough so girlfriend I admire that in a person - we all have our own unique skills and I have two ex’s both, had the gift of gab - we love people many times for the things we ourselves do not possess and having lived it I respect it. ✨🕊️💚☘️💚🕊️✨
I agree completely. I actually don’t think you talk very much at all Becky. I love hearing from both of you and mesmerising (and very relaxing ) as it is watching without a commentary I wouldn’t subscribe to your channel if it wasn’t for hearing from the 2 of you as individuals and a couple. Just keep doing what you are doing. It’s obviously working. All the best wishes to Sam.
Gorgeous opening segment. Made me think that this place is a bit of heaven on earth. I may not have started out like that but it is now. The countryside is the best therapy for all that ails you. Sam: your news is wonderful. You may not know it but you and Rebecca are a real community builders. Online and in person! This world needs more of it. Godspeed and be careful. ❤
Sam, a first responder, a TRUE HERO. way to )! ❤ Becky, and your son are proud. For me, a lifetime of construction, now 80, enjoy very much what you are doing. Liveing in Oregon, USA, to far for me to help with your forever home project. I remember waking up many days for work, cold, foggy, snowy, rain, heat, and beautiful days. Real life. Of construction tradesmen. Despite the hardships, the joy and satisfaction of seeing what has been accomplished with my own hands.....priceless.
Well done for volunteering in the fire service. Another way to be part of the local community and being self sufficient. So proud of you, when you have loads of other priorities in your lives!
Your videos are like a breath of fresh air in the mornings. Nice people, genuine people and like all those who watch your channel, we wish you all the very best.
I am in total awe of just how hard you all work, and when problems crop up, you both take them in your stride and find a solution ❤ Beautiful intro, the scenery is so lush and furry and feathered friends too. Francis and Dessie are real perfectionists, and the fact that they aren't roofers is incredible given the beautiful job they have done. Good luck, Sam, with the fire training and as always much love to you all ❤
You now have e multiple skills, concrete work , stone work, roofing, landscaping, both of you are so hard workers, just lovely people and a great family. Both of you can turn your hands to most things. WELL DONE
I think you both made a really good decision getting the help in to get the roof finished for winter, it looks amazing. What a great way to be part of your new community by joining the fire crew.
Congrats on your new vocation Sam. How nice to know you've got a strong, reliable partner in Becky to keep the home fires burning while you're away. The roof is superb and the progress on the homestead very inspiring. Thanks to you all for taking time away from the work and animals to share your journey. Peace from San Jose, California.
Congratulations Sam with the joinery almost completed and for your training as a firefighter!! It's looking beautiful and thanks to Francis and Desi for all the slogging up top. You've all got magnificent skills 😊 I'll love seeing the whole visual from start to finish with the drone. What beautiful scenery you have on your homestead. Amazing difference ❤❤❤
Congratulations, Sam!. Fire fighting is a fine commitment to community. I see you thrive, working with others. All the best. Hope the generator situation is resolved, soon. I think that successful youtube channels are a matter of a great "cast". You have it.
Hello from New York. Our package has arrived ! I had my morning coffee in a memorable mug and watched your video. A little story for Sam's training endeavor, we live not 15 minutes away from the New York State Academy of Fire Science (Fire Academy). I had a few friends who went there for their training. I have the utmost respect for them and the village fire department as they ironically (?) ended up saving my own house back in 2000 prompting me to rebuild and dealing with the foggy/zombie feeling you also get. I can also relate about having to go into town to do laundry helping my mom with it for our family of seven. I remember how happy and relieved she was finally getting a washer and drier in our home. For me, your videos are a real life lesson in relating (I suspect for many here as well) in your struggles. Your videos are beautifully woven all together with music and Irish countryside. I do hope that your generator issues get resolved soon and to your satisfaction. I find it most disturbing that the manufacturer is giving you a hard time, given the circumstances, and that it is so close to the holidays. All the best to you and yours.
Thank you. That was a lovely message to read. Apologies it has taken me so long to reply. There were a lot of comments on this video. So glad to hear you survived the fire. Very scary I imagine and the upset of having to see your things destroyed. Glad all worked out and I guess you have a fantastic new home. Yes not good from the company we bought from but happily we have a refund now so onwards and upwards. 👍
Oil drum fireplace! What a great idea for a temp wood stove. Warmth for anyone able to work near it. The roof is beautiful. A new roof of any kind is like putting your hair up and slipping on that pretty new party dress. Makes everything look like a gorgeous new house. I don't mind not being informed slate by slate. I just like to see it all happen. Praying for warmer weather for Becky and the landscaping.
Wow, what a transformation, it must be a wonderful feeling to see your dreams appearing right in front of your eyes ❤. I didn’t realise that Francis and Dessie weren’t roofers, what talented craftsmen. Good luck Sam, what an amazing thing to do.
The roof looks amazing and we’ve not even seen it finished but wow the lads have worked so hard and Sam should be so proud too as he’s doing an incredible job ❤ take care and good luck on the training Sam I’m sure you’ll smash it like you always do. Let’s hope guys you can find another generator that will do a great job for you. ❤
Wow, big changes ahead with an upcoming fireman in the family! Please stay safe in all that you do. Looking forward to seeing the roof complete - another item checked off the long list. Bec, good luck with dealing with those generator folks - hoping you quickly get a refund to help pay for a better and more reliable unit. Take care now! :)
Thanks so much. The generator people who a huge let down. I was so shocked. At least the roof is pretty much finished and Sam is starting a new career. Things are good so can't complain. 👍
Oh my almost 22 yr old Granddaughter loved her Fireman Sam hard covered book Well Done Sam ! May you be blessed in your pursuits what a career, Bless you All 🙏💞
Thanks Becky, Sam and family, for another fantastic video... Hope your generator problems are sorted out very quickly...Roof is looking fantastic.. All the best with the training Sam, and Becky you'll hold the fort while he's gone, and do an amazing job....looking forward to next week...
Oh Sam that’s wonderful. I’m so happy for you and Rebecca. What a wonderful way to give back to a country that has given such joy to you and your family. Crack on Sam.
Congrats Sam on your firefighter training! And Becky we all know your the real rock star keeping everyone on task, fed, clean, chickens, donkeys, kids, the fella's, cats, dogs.....seriously....I've said it before and I will say it again. All the hard work both of you are doing now will be greatly rewarding to you when the house is finally done and you all make this fabulous farmhouse rebuild a HOME! I continue to be impressed with ya'll progress every week. Sending many blessings and good vibes your way! P.S. and well done to the 2 fella's that have worked so hard and tirelessly on that roof. Hugs to you all from your friend in Texas!
Thank you so much Danielle. I admit keeping this place going is a lot of work at times, but as you say, it's so worth it. Our dreams are coming true, and we couldn't be more grateful. It's very odd to have so many people watching that happen, but honestly, it's pushed us on the days we struggled and supported us on the down days. For that we will always be thankful. ♥️
Was in awe of what you'd achieved. Camera doesn't do it justice it really doesn't. Congratulations to fireman Sam too. Amazing where life leads us isnt it. You truly never know whats next . Great catching up with you all. Dont hesitate to shout if you need anything .
It must be amazing to know you and Becky are touching the lives of so many people all over the world. You all do a fantastic job. Good Luck on this new adventure, Sam. See you when we see you.
PLEASE IF YOUR BRAND NEW GENNY HAS BROKEN DOWN LETS HAVE THE NAME OF IT FOR OBVIOUS REASONS THIS HELPS EVERYONE. love your intro as always YOUR a ton of strength Bec that's for sure thanks for your video.
Good morning Becky, Sam and Family…. A tip of me old hat and a Top of the Morning to Dessie, Francis and DL (Dessie’s Lad). That’s an awesome job you’ve all done on the roof lads, even more so given that slating the roof has been huge learning curve for you guys. A huge shout out to Becky, she truly is one quality lady and I told her that many months back. I likened her to all those brave, strong, determined ladies who withstood the Blitz of WW2…keeping the lads fed and watered, bossing us about, driving us forward as only a loving woman can and getting away with it 😳. Absolutely brilliant news Sam regarding your Fireman appointment. It seems to me that you are the perfect person for the job. So good luck. As always my respects and kind regards to you all…..Dave
Can imagine all the perks you will get with the fire fighting. Learning more about the area, opening all kinds of doors, updates of what is going on in your area you wouldn't know if not being in that kind of job. Your roof looks fantastic, so sleek and clean. You all have worked so hard and it shows. Sorry you have to leave for 3 weeks but training is best.
Loving your artistic intros, can't beat raindrops on spiderwebs. You have made such a fantastic effort to get the roof on and I will be hanging out to see the finished roof next week. All the best Sam for your training course and look forward to you doing the inside.
Super job with the roof. The house looks smashing now! I love the opening shots of the early morning peace on your farm, with the birds and cats and dogs and of course the donkeys...thank you for sharing the beautiful countryside with us.
It is early morning (1:14 AM) as I am typing this and I am so happy to see the progress made. I do wish the weather had been kinder for you. Kudos to Sam for the firefighter training! Our volunteer firefighters have saved our home/farm countless times from wildfires. They are amazing and we are so thankful for them. I can't wait to see what you have in store Bec. Wishing you all the best!
The roof looks great! All the best, Sam. I'm sure you'll ace the course. I'm sure you'll be okay, Bec. Have a great week. See you next week. ❤I love the opening segment of the video. It's so calming and with the beautiful Irish country side. Continue with the Irish music during the time laps. It's beautiful.
Well done, everyone, fantastic work 👏🏻👏🏻 I feel that with every project worthwhile like yours, there comes that moment when you are being tested and you just need to persevere, and you will be rewarded 😊👍🏻 So hang in there, the silver lining is already there! I also watch a channel here on YT called “The Outsider”, and he sings high praise of The Jackery as being the best generators out there. He has built an off grid cabin in Canada and I feel he is a really good and honest craftsman, like Sam is, and it might be worth a look… Good luck with the fireman training, and hang in there Becky, three weeks will go by in a flicker, I am sure 👍🏻 🍀
Well done Fireman Sam😊. So ki d of you Sam for taking Ireland to your ❤. Extremely well done to Becky, not easy looking after almost everything for 3 weeks. You have fantastic kid's and I'm sure they will help and support you, while helping Sam mentally, knowing your all in it together (so to speak). Good luck to you all. XXXX
The Irish builders and comuni have taken them in to their hearts and they just giving a bit back to the locals by the fire service Sam will be assisting ,
Well done all of you for another jam-packed week of hard work ... Becky, my love, you have 3 weeks infront of you that you'll handle like a champion (all be it a knackered champion by the end 😮 😌😴🥴 !!!) .... YOU ARE SOOO far into your home creating !!! it's incredible to think of the progress you have made since this time a year ago 😊😊😊😊 .. my love and admiration, as always, to you all ❣❣❣❣
Bec, you have a new and exciting chapter happening. Enjoy the new challenge. I do believe "a king is not a king without his queen" . You rock take care of each other❤❤❤
Such great progress on your beautiful roof! Sam, I wish you well on your new and noble endeavor. You are truly one of the helpers and your community is very lucky to have you. And Rebecca, we look forward to seeing that drone footage of the roof from its beginning. As usual, this video had beautiful music to accompany it. A Storyteller's Life was especially lovely. I love being able to share your family's journey each week. You encourage us with your optimism, no matter the ups and downs. Happy weekend! 💙🙂
Hi Becca, I'm curious about the electricity situation there, it seems mad that you are dependent on a generator. Can the esb not supply you with a temporary feed to the site? Maybe you could explain on a later episode, thanks. The roof looks great, good for another 100 years, well done Sam giving of his time for the local community 👍
I am amazed how many times I have to tell my favorite creators that they’re doing great! We’re here because you are you, you’re not supposed to be somebody else. I’m not watching somebody else!
Wow that's great, starting a new career locally is amazing. I can only imagine that you are going to be great at it and gain a lot of new friends, family in another way. Good luck Sam, it's going to be different but I'm sure you'll find a way.👍❤️
I can't express how much I truly enjoy watching your videos each week. Everyone is so genuine. So hard-working. It is so refreshing to see this, fulfilling your dreams is amazing to watch.
The fire in the oil drum looks so warm and cheerful, especially with the damp and cold weather. Best wishes to Sam as he trains to help others and best wishes to Becky as she holds down the homestead! Hope the generator situation resolves to your satisfaction.
What a crew! Fireman Sam, Frankie Valley, Dilligent Dessie, Beautiful Bex and family. Not forgetting all the creatures great and small. Fantastic viewing. Great vlogs. Wishing ye continuing good health, weather, happiness and progress. Your home will be amazing. ❤
Your very easily liked you and Sam I pray your family is blessed in your endeavors! I’ll definitely keep watching for DIYs such as your family keep on keeping on!!!
I am confident that you will feel a great deal of satisfaction from joining your local Fire Service. I have been a volunteer with a Rescue Organisation in Australia for nearly 23 years now, having both good & confronting experiences during that time. One of the greatest experiences is sharing time with my colleagues & the satisfaction of knowing that I have helped people through some of the most difficult times of their lives.
So well done guys, for your strength and fortitude in low times, you will get there, and certainly deserve to.Good luck Sam with the training,Sam will be fine with all the love and support on her side, can’t wait to see your on going progress,it’s going to be fab.x
This is a serendipity moment for your community and fire services who are going to quickly discover how lucky they are to have you on board Sam. You already have the luck of the Irish to have discovered such great friends to help on the roof.
Well done on the roof Sam, Desi and Fances! Looks fantastic. Looking forward to the final work! Congratulations Sam! A very noble and worthwhile profession and one that commands the greatest of respect! Thank you for doing this and I hope it brings you pride in a job that benefits many. And finally Becky, you do NOT talk too much! I love the commentary and I hope the generator company does good by you both! Thank you and Good LUCK Sam!
Thanks David. I think being a fireman will suit Sam well. He works well in a team and much prefers it that way. Glad to hear you don't think I talk too much. 🤣👍
Just so happy for you. The roof looks fantastic and you wouldn't want better people to work along side. Just incredible hearts and backs. Very big congratulations on the schooling and placement Sam. You can give a good stint at your age and be a big help to your community. Try to get rope training as quickly as possible. It could be a lifeline in the future and help you eventually train others. Good you stuck to your guns over the generator. You need the best to get you through the winter. Amazing so close to 90k subscribers. Best wishes from 🇨🇦
Again..doing an amazing job by all, congrats to Sam for his contribution to the community, Becky, holding the Fort, can't be easy, but it'll be worth it. Think of all those amazing Christmas's to come in your new home. 😊
This episode really made me heart felt❤😊. Especially hearing about him going for fire training. I’m not surprised that he would be doing this! What a lovely thing for him to do to assist your community. Watching that roof get near to completion was so exciting! I can imagine you guys are really feeling very exhausted and exhilarated at the same time. His bits about gratitude for the guys and his lovely helpmate were so sweet and well spoken. You both have such a great way of expressing gratitude and positivity in spite of hardships when things go wrong. You are an inspiration.
Beautiful intro! One can feel the mizzle atmosphere. You don't talk too much. It's important for us to know you. I initially didn't subscribe bc you only played lovely music but I didn't know who you really were.
You work so hard and I look forward to watching your video productions. The quality is excellent & I love the music. You are an inspirational family and I hope you can find some time in the near future for some rest and relaxation. No-one deserves it more than your family. Sending love and best wishes.
Fantastic job on the roof!! Best of Luck Sam with your Training .... you'll Ace it! This is, without a doubt, my favourite Channel! Again, All the Best Sam!!
Ahh yes it's the least populated county in Ireland. We absolutely love that. It has this special pull when you arrive here. It's just feels like coming home. ♥️
The best of luck with everything in the near future . The roof , the generator, and Sam at boot camp. You all have done a great job lads and lassie . Looking forward to seeing you all with the roof finished 🎉
Sounds like you will be a first responder. That’s wonderful. So enjoy your channel and the work on your restoration. The kids, Toby and Tillie country life is the best.
Very best of luck with the training Sam! It's such a brave job to take on! Lots of lovely shots in the fog, looks fab! Great to see all the work Dessie and Francis get done, they were so sound when I met them the one time, hoping to get them to my place to work their magic! Another great episode and update
Becky is perfectly suited disciplined and detail oriented - and balanced as well. I’ve noticed that about my own hygienist’s throughout the years. And most have also been very accomplished gardening. Bit of polymaths I think - lots of skills and interests. Peace and Blessings Love to you sister ✨🕊️💚☘️💚🕊️✨
Ahh thank you Donna. Yes I think bring meticulous is important as a hygienist. I enjoyed that role for many years. Now it's applied here on renovating a cottage. I have to say I prefer chipping out lime mortar to scaling teeth! 😉🤣
Roof is looking fantastic, I’m sure Sam will be working with Desi and Francis a lot, they make a great team. Are you planning on any solar or wind options for your power, that with battery storage would reduce your reliance on ESB and generator back up in the future.
Hi Bec. Loving your editing - it is so well balanced from the limited footage you must have and, no, you don't waffle on too much. You fill in the information about your progress and plans. On top of that, you are making sure everything around schooling and running the home is ok, as well as all the work for the animals and on the cottage. So glad you and Sam are planning for the future when you both will need to transition to a more "normal" pace of life. Right now, Sam has been flat out with Francis and Dessie on site and you have reached a landmark goal. You can and will get through this project - we know you will. All the best, look after each other and the kids.
Thank you. So glad you enjoyed it. Yes Sam is going to go back to the uk to see him mum and family with the kids are Christmas. He certainly deserves the break and I know his mum is so proud of him and can't wait to give him a cuddle and no doubt feed him.up. 🤣
Good morning Toby, I love hearing him calling ❤ Well done tackling the roof in all weathers, looking fantastic! Can't believe it wasn't just a straight swap with the generator with it being only 6 weeks old, hopefully refund gets to you pretty quickly. Good luck Sam with the fire training, Becky you'll have your very own Fireman Sam 😁 Hope all goes well in the homestead for you whilst Sam is away, I'm sure it will. Have I missed a video with the oil drum fire 🤔 Adapt and overcome, as my husband always says. Brilliant video as always ❤
At 21:30 kitty on the roof! Becky, your cinematic skills shine with every video. I love the mood you captured with the misty surroundings. And all the animals on board whether thru sight or sound. Sam, love your desire to join the local fire fighting team! An admirable commitment that will also bring a great sense of community to your family. Good luck with your new generator!
The two of you and your lovely family help me so very much to keep gratitude alive in my life. Strange how much I feel connected to you, your work, the animal group thousands of miles away in New York City. I am an architect specializing in historic preservation and a "country boy" at heart from a hardworking family of limited means growing up in Texas. It is so satisfying to watch your wonderful house come together. I'm retired now and you keep my building spirit alive. Wish I had the funds to help you through the hard times but have the greatest faith in you to persevere and succeed. All I can give is hope and confidence in whatever you attempt and also a lot of long-distant love. Good luck at boot camp Sam !
Thank you so much Laurence. So glad you enjoy our videos. We are grateful for the kind support just watching & commenting helps us so thanks for that too.
A whole bunch of absolute grafters, that roof looks superb, in my opinion Honda make the best sub 7kva generators by a mile, but it comes sadly at a cost. Crack on guys you are absolute troopers getting it done.
Becky, I was wondering why you've not had to much camera time lately? I've missed you. I don't see any harsh comments about you in the comments. Don't let that hate live in your heart and steal you joy. Please try to discard them. This is you journey, that you share with us, thank you. I love watching your projects come to fruition. You sharing moments with the fur babies. Your calm voice & sense of humour. I'm looking forward to the decorating of your stone cottage!
Thank you. You will definitely see more of me on next weekends video. I do find the negative comments hard to take. Sam doesn't care, but I take it to heart too much.
Such wonderful progress and your very own Fireman Sam....EPIC. Please take care and wishing you a safe few weeks till Sam is back from his training camp.....much love from moi in 🇨🇵
The roof looks amazing and excellent quality. Well done on the firefighting, think you'd be perfect for it especially as you're excited about it, good luck with the training and looking forward to hearing more about it. Stay warm!

You’re doing great, always ups and downs, for life and everything in between. ❤

Just left a very similar comment! ❤🎉 Isn't great to see ' I can do' people. 👍
What does the term grafter mean? That is not a term that we use in the US.
@@ninadukette3340, graft is a slang term for work (usually hard physical work), a grafter is someone who keeps working until the job is done
@@ninadukette3340 a really hard worker.... somebody who gets stuck into the work and sticks at it
Congrats Fireman Sam 😁
Lol, how did I not see that one coming 😅
You beat me to it.😂
That's hilarious. I didn't spot it at all! I bet thats going to cause come hilarity art the training camp.
Yeah I were thinking that
🤣👍
Becky, you don't talk too much. I love hearing what you have to say. Hang on in there, you are all doing marvellously!
Agree, in spades 😂
Keep talking… otherwise we are just guessing what’s going on… the talking is vital to keep us engaged in what you are doing.
Thank you. I'm glad to hear it.
What I love about this channel is how much Sam and Becky build each other up and talk so positively about each other. It is so rare in the world now but is so wonderful to hear. Hope the training goes well for Sam :)
Thank you. Love the name lol.
Cheers 👍👍❤
You've been busy, Sam. The damp cold gets into your bones, it's rheumatic country. The athletes wear horsebalm rubbed on and then a wollen top.
Lovely to see another Aussie has found this channel. I totally agree all our forces, but especially fire fighters in the summer months, hold a special place in our hearts.
Thank you so much Marie. I'm enjoying the training and excited to be part of a team.

Thanks Gerry. So glad you enjoy watching and it brings back find memories.
Well done for volunteering in the fire service. Another way to be part of the local community and being self sufficient. So proud of you, when you have loads of other priorities in your lives!
Thank you. Just to clarify though it is a paid permanent position. In case we get accused of mskimg out otherwise. You know how UA-cam is 😉🤣
Your videos are like a breath of fresh air in the mornings. Nice people, genuine people and like all those who watch your channel, we wish you all the very best.
Wow, thank you!
I am in total awe of just how hard you all work, and when problems crop up, you both take them in your stride and find a solution ❤
Beautiful intro, the scenery is so lush and furry and feathered friends too. Francis and Dessie are real perfectionists, and the fact that they aren't roofers is incredible given the beautiful job they have done.
Good luck, Sam, with the fire training and as always much love to you all ❤
Ahh yes they were perfectionists, especially Francis. Makes me feel happier and worry less about any roof issues in the future.
You now have e multiple skills, concrete work , stone work, roofing, landscaping, both of you are so hard workers, just lovely people and a great family. Both of you can turn your hands to most things. WELL DONE
Thank you very much!
Wonderful news Sam! You both work sooo hard and deserve all the happiness. The roof looks amazing 🤩
Thanks so much! 😊
Peace from San Jose, California.
yes nice to get a break from it all i think its Becky's turn next .
True enough I called it a “career” but you’re right, it’s truly a vocation.
✨🕊️💚☘️💚🕊️✨
It's not much, but just giving a little back.
Kathy thats so kind. Thank you
Congratulations Sam with the joinery almost completed and for your training as a firefighter!! It's looking beautiful and thanks to Francis and Desi for all the slogging up top. You've all got magnificent skills 😊 I'll love seeing the whole visual from start to finish with the drone. What beautiful scenery you have on your homestead. Amazing difference ❤❤❤
Thanks so much.
Congratulations, Sam!. Fire fighting is a fine commitment to community. I see you thrive, working with others. All the best. Hope the generator situation is resolved, soon. I think that successful youtube channels are a matter of a great "cast". You have it.
Thank you, that's so kind. Yes, Sam definitely is in his element as part of a team. He is good in a crisis, too. We are really proud of him.
“Becky’s magic touch makes it special.” Love that. The roof looks amazing!
Thanks. I'm struggling a bit with the weather and mud! It's a slow but worthwhile process.
I look forward to your videos every week. You’re both doing a great job. So nice to see this old house get a new life.
Thank you so much!
Wow, what a transformation, it must be a wonderful feeling to see your dreams appearing right in front of your eyes ❤. I didn’t realise that Francis and Dessie weren’t roofers, what talented craftsmen. Good luck Sam, what an amazing thing to do.
Lol Dessie told me off for that. Apparently they are indeed Roofers! 🤣🫣
A little something to say thanks for showing your work on the 200 year old cottage.
Thanks so much Jodie. That's very kind. ♥️
Thanks so much! I'm sure we will get something sorted. Refund had arrived now thankfully.
I am a whole time Watch Manager in SOuth Wales Fire and Resuce Service. . Loving the videos
I love hearing what you have to say. ❤ You never waffle 😊
Thanks Deana. X
May you be blessed in your pursuits what a career, Bless you All 🙏💞
Thank you so much!
Thanks Becky, Sam and family, for another fantastic video... Hope your generator problems are sorted out very quickly...Roof is looking fantastic.. All the best with the training Sam, and Becky you'll hold the fort while he's gone, and do an amazing job....looking forward to next week...
I always love the introductions so calming. x
We like your explanations Becca! Nell was like the Foreman supervising! Great progress! We love you guys! So proud of your decision Sam!
Thanks so much Sharon!!
Oh Sam that’s wonderful. I’m so happy for you and Rebecca. What a wonderful way to give back to a country that has given such joy to you and your family. Crack on Sam.
Thank you so much!
Thanks as always Mitch xx
It must be amazing to know you and Becky are touching the lives of so many people all over the world. You all do a fantastic job. Good Luck on this new adventure, Sam. See you when we see you.
It is amazing. We feel so proud that we create something people enjoy. ♥️
It was a Hyundai diesel one. Sam showed it arriving on a video a few weeks ago.
Becky why not run a christmas fundraiser for windows ...time of giving
Great idea…
❤❤❤
Aww thanks Dave. That's a huge honour comparing me to those amazing ladies. 💞
Thanks Cathy. 👍
Good luck with your training 😊 know Becca will keep things going while you are gone ❤
Loving your artistic intros, can't beat raindrops on spiderwebs. You have made such a fantastic effort to get the roof on and I will be hanging out to see the finished roof next week. All the best Sam for your training course and look forward to you doing the inside.
Thanks. I had to film them they were so beautiful that morning...and I hate spiders! 🤣
Super job with the roof. The house looks smashing now! I love the opening shots of the early morning peace on your farm, with the birds and cats and dogs and of course the donkeys...thank you for sharing the beautiful countryside with us.
You are very welcome. I really enjoy filming the countryside we live in. It's why we fell in love with Ireland. ♥️
Hi Diana. Thanks for that lovely message it's so kind of you. ♥️
Thanks. Yes I'll be fine. Not worried at all. Sam just worries for me. 🤣
Jackery is pointless without a power source and solar isn't dependable in Ireland . An old diesel engine in the barn is the best backup plan
@ oh I am sure you must be right, he does have solar panels installed near the cabin.
Thanks always good to see how others manage off grid. 👍
Well done Fireman Sam😊. So ki d of you Sam for taking Ireland to your ❤. Extremely well done to Becky, not easy looking after almost everything for 3 weeks. You have fantastic kid's and I'm sure they will help and support
you, while helping Sam mentally, knowing your all in it together (so to speak). Good luck to you all. XXXX
The Irish builders and comuni have taken them in to their hearts and they just giving a bit back to the locals by the fire service Sam will be assisting ,
I agree , I love the Irish people ❤
Well done all of you for another jam-packed week of hard work ... Becky, my love, you have 3 weeks infront of you that you'll handle like a champion (all be it a knackered champion by the end 😮 😌😴🥴 !!!) .... YOU ARE SOOO far into your home creating !!! it's incredible to think of the progress you have made since this time a year ago 😊😊😊😊 .. my love and admiration, as always, to you all ❣❣❣❣
Aww thank you! That's so lovely of you. ♥️
Hang in there. You are doing well. The roofers are terrific. I enjoy your videos.
Congratulations Sam ,, good luck with the training,,, roof looks fantastic,
Bec, you have a new and exciting chapter happening. Enjoy the new challenge. I do believe "a king is not a king without his queen" . You rock take care of each other❤❤❤
Thanks. We are a good team...most days 😉🤣
Thanks so much. So glad to hear you enjoy the videos. ♥️
Well done for volunteering in the fire service. Enjoy your time away Sam. The roof is looking stunning, Des and Francis.
Many thanks!
We chose to be off grid. We have done for 3 years now, but a good generator for those cloudy days seems hard to find.
Thanks Desi and Frances to help Sam and Becky.
Love it to see you on the almost closed roof.
Yes a huge milestone that for us. Such a relief. ♥️
I am amazed how many times I have to tell my favorite creators that they’re doing great! We’re here because you are you, you’re not supposed to be somebody else. I’m not watching somebody else!
Thanks Anne. Very true. 👍
Wow that's great, starting a new career locally is amazing. I can only imagine that you are going to be great at it and gain a lot of new friends, family in another way. Good luck Sam, it's going to be different but I'm sure you'll find a way.👍❤️
I hope so! Thank you. Feels good to have a different career path after 20 years as a joiner.
I can't express how much I truly enjoy watching your videos each week. Everyone is so genuine. So hard-working. It is so refreshing to see this, fulfilling your dreams is amazing to watch.
Thank you so much!
Congrats On your new career Sam! Very impressed by the work you’ve done! Best team ever! And I hope Euan new egg business is going well?❤❤
Thanks so much!! Oh yes the eggs always go quickly.
The fire in the oil drum looks so warm and cheerful, especially with the damp and cold weather. Best wishes to Sam as he trains to help others and best wishes to Becky as she holds down the homestead! Hope the generator situation resolves to your satisfaction.
Thank you very much!
Frankie Valley 😂😂😂
@AnneNiM-ni3fx And the 4 Tops 😀
Great to hear! I agree job satisfaction will be immense.
So well done guys, for your strength and fortitude in low times, you will get there, and certainly deserve to.Good luck Sam with the training,Sam will be fine with all the love and support on her side, can’t wait to see your on going progress,it’s going to be fab.x
Thanks so much Sally.
This is a serendipity moment for your community and fire services who are going to quickly discover how lucky they are to have you on board Sam. You already have the luck of the Irish
to have discovered such great friends to help on the roof.
Thank you.
Thanks
Thanks so much Derek. ♥️
Thanks!
Karen thank you so much. That's very kind and generous of you ♥️
Just so happy for you.
Best wishes from 🇨🇦
Thank you so much. We made it over the 90k! 🎉💪♥️
Come on, we need a 100k subscribers, please introduce “The Irish Homestead” to your friends. ❤
Thanks so much ♥️♥️
Again..doing an amazing job by all, congrats to Sam for his contribution to the community, Becky, holding the Fort, can't be easy, but it'll be worth it. Think of all those amazing Christmas's to come in your new home. 😊
I can't wait for my first Christmas in the cottage! It will be amazing b
Thankyou for taking us along with your family on a beautiful journey. An absolute breath of fresh air and I love the donkeys. Best of luck.
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks. I honestly don't know how Sam is still going. He is running on empty, I'm sure of it.
He's looking forward to a rest over Christmas.
Beautiful intro! One can feel the mizzle atmosphere.
You don't talk too much. It's important for us to know you. I initially didn't subscribe bc you only played lovely music but I didn't know who you really were.
Thank you. Thats interesting. Maybe you haven't seen our much older videos...we definitely talked too much then. 🤣👍
You work so hard and I look forward to watching your video productions. The quality is excellent & I love the music. You are an inspirational family and I hope you can find some time in the near future for some rest and relaxation. No-one deserves it more than your family. Sending love and best wishes.
Thank you so much!
You guys are amazing and are a total inspiration. All the very best for your upcoming training. You, Becky and your family deserve every success.
Thank you so much!
What a nightmare with the "genny".
Exciting times for Fireman Sam be good for him .
Animals are looking great and v happy . Take care all of u ❤️
Thank you. It will be an interesting new career path for me
Very best of luck with the training Sam! It's such a brave job to take on! Lots of lovely shots in the fog, looks fab! Great to see all the work Dessie and Francis get done, they were so sound when I met them the one time, hoping to get them to my place to work their magic! Another great episode and update
Thanks Aisling. Hope you are well.
The roof looks way better than I thought was possible, you guys did an amazing job of it.👌
Glad you think so. I was worried it would look wrong but I really like it.
So exciting. A different type of life, you’ve worked hard for that. Roof looking great.
We are really enjoying your channel. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Good luck with the fire service training! From Narelle and John, Sydney x
Thank you Narelle & John. Much appreciated. ♥️
Becky is perfectly suited disciplined and detail oriented - and balanced as well. I’ve noticed that about my own hygienist’s throughout the years. And most have also been very accomplished gardening. Bit of polymaths I think - lots of skills and interests.
Peace and Blessings
Love to you sister
✨🕊️💚☘️💚🕊️✨
Ahh thank you Donna. Yes I think bring meticulous is important as a hygienist. I enjoyed that role for many years. Now it's applied here on renovating a cottage. I have to say I prefer chipping out lime mortar to scaling teeth! 😉🤣
Roof is looking fantastic, I’m sure Sam will be working with Desi and Francis a lot, they make a great team. Are you planning on any solar or wind options for your power, that with battery storage would reduce your reliance on ESB and generator back up in the future.
Yes we hope to have a better set up if we stay off grid in the future.
The roof looks so beautiful!
Keep up the good work, it looks wonderful and wishing you all the best.
Thank you so much David. ♥️
Fireman Sam........Congrats
I know the misty days are damp but you've captured the beauty of it in those opening scenes.. Great job on the roof. Wishing you all the best
Thanks so much! Glad to hear that. ♥️
Ahh no Melanie. Sam didn't film himself making that. 🙄
Thank you very much!
Thanks Andrew.
Please take care and wishing you a safe few weeks till Sam is back from his training camp.....much love from moi in 🇨🇵
Thank you very much! It will fly by I know.b
The roof looks amazing and excellent quality. Well done on the firefighting, think you'd be perfect for it especially as you're excited about it, good luck with the training and looking forward to hearing more about it. Stay warm!
Thank you very much Jennifer!
