Containment priest doesn't stop token generation unless I'm missing something bc it only cares about nontoken creatures, but it does stop blink and reanimation still. Great builds though
For Nevinyrral: don't forget Kaya's Ghostform! Most of the time when folks cover the evil commanders they include Tergrid, so it was "nice" to see her excluded her to allow room for some other evil ideas.
@@supremecourt4131 i like to build hate decks for basic stuff (cretures lands card draw etc) on an unrelated note can you resque someone out of a mental asylum? asking for a friend
My playgroup has essentially soft-banned Mindslaver because I played it in my Misha EO deck. And it just-so-happens the way I used it was to hold back the player in the lead. The problem; It was - apparently - always the same person.
Still think my fav is Eight-and-a-Half-Tails. The plan is play lots of annoying stax pieces, which you can protect thanks to the ability on your commander. Circle of protection style effects mean nothing is ever really a threat to you directly, which gives you plenty of time to find ugin + one of your ways of making lots of mana. Using your commander to turn all opponents' lands white, use Ugin's -X ability as X is 0, and exile all their lands.
I remember a themed decklist from 2015 called Gaddock Teeg's Police Department by roly-mac. It is a toolbox deck that tries to shut down oppressive strategies like classic stax, generally keeping people playing by their definition of fair. Just like most hatebear decks, it's looking to slow down opponents while applying pressure. I wouldn't exactly call it evil, but it does interact a lot with what the opponent's are doing.
For Nevi I use tombstone stairwell. Everyone create zombie armies with stairwell, then I destroy it along with Nevi, return him with a bunch of cards mentioned and he brings a ton of tokens with him :)
My son taught me Commander, so I’m still sort of new to this. Would you have decklists for these? I’ve noticed that there are hundreds of them, however the specific cards and strategies you are using would be helpful with a decklist. Besides, I’m tired of getting steamrolled by my son and friends.
I haven't had enough time to pull together a list of my own for these 3 commanders. Decision Paralysis stops me in my tracks and I needed to get this video finish 😅 However, there are plenty of these lists covering the strategies I go over on Moxfield.com. Here's some examples I've found: GT - www.moxfield.com/decks/L6vRD1jam0K3iKjBcCi_Gw Sen - www.moxfield.com/decks/kBiLez5-tESRRPneVPt6RA Nev - www.moxfield.com/decks/vUxv1mX1cUK5TwmTh19Jcw
Definitely just build a deck around a busted Commander. As a newer player myself, maybe a Krenko deck? It's whole deal is doubling your army so having 4 goblins one turn can easily turn to 32 in the next with the regular cards!
Kindred decks are surprisingly consistent. And being able to slap in a two card combo is ridiculously easy. There's no one right way to build any commander deck, I just love discussing all the different ways you can build them 😃
Evasive creatures and ordeals with the four card draw mill enchantments and cards that limit how many creatures they can attach with such as Crawlspace.
You forgot Nekusar wheel and deal with a bunch of effects to hold down the board state. Haha. I have a deck for each of these commanders. 😂 I got kicked out of local stores edh pod years ago 😢
@attackoncardboard I'm excited to see all of them. I'm trying to make a near creatureless enchantment deck right now with the new Zur. So I can run Overburden, Spreading plague, Tainted AEther, Lether Vapors, and No Mercy finally. Maybe you will be able to do it before me. Good luck on your quest for evil. (: haha.
I built an evil deck with a less evil commander. Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff- -1 life +1 treasure on opponent's second spell any turn. But the whole plan is Infect. Life shouldn't matter since infect can be very fast, and the extra treasures will ensure I can cast any card in hand. Nobody will want to play it.
I made my Anhelo, the Painter deck pretty evil with "Worst Fears". Copying that spell and taking control over a player multiple times is soooo dirty. I clutched out a game vs a guy who had the win almost totally locked up. His life was over 30, mine was 3. He had about 15 massive dinos on board, I had 2 small creatures. But he squandered his chance to fully kill me and chose the other 2 players to kill instead. I got to play solitaire for the next 6 turns controlling him and giving myself extra turns with Part the Waterveils (copied). I ended up using all of his cards/creature abilities to destroy all his enchantments and artifacts. I wasted all his cards in hand and I wiped the board with his own Wrath of God. He had no cards and no creatures so he just begged me to show him the win so he can scoop. I drew Army of the Damned and showed him he is about to get swung at by 26 zombie tokens and he conceded. Absolutely insane turn around from a totally lost looking position.
My entire MTG Road map is me being the Archenemy at the Commander table 😂 It's not until I got into teaching Magic that I've retired most of those decks. I now save them to punish other players being mean to new players 🤣
Regarding the Sen triplets. Putting mana fixing into the deck won't work. Anytime you produce mana that is not of your commander's identity it will produce colorless.
Sometimes I wonder why I bother with commander then seeing things like Gaddock Teeg. I thought this was a social format not another medium for douchey knowitall players to be douchey-er. I literally see no balance to cards like Gaddock and the banlist looks untouched but other cards are absent on the list that are too similar to some of the cards ON the list. At least for now it's just me and a handful of my friends playing with precons but i imagine if i tried to find a group to play with i'd likely run into a group doing cEDH with thousand dollar decks. Very disheartening.
It sounds like not enough "Rule 0" conversations are happening at the start of your Commander games if you're running into Precons Vs cEDH decks. This is definitely not the norm and if it is, I highly recommend finding another play group 😅😅

You're correct. I've totally misremembered the card and I didn't catch that in the edit!

Can confirm that nobody likes Sen Triplets except the person playing them. I have a Sen Triplets deck and I absolutely love it
That's always the case 🤣
I built a Armageddon tribal with hazezon (you can play lands from your graveyard whenever you play a land create two 1/1)
Are you ok 😔?

Lmao I just came around to upgrading the precon & casually dropped it in from everyone's suggestion. Got a list to share??

An excellent idea!
Loving the Ape Escape Music
My secret sauce!
Sen Triplets should work well with cost reduction, right? Nothing wants to puke everything that's in a hand out in one turn like Sen Triplets does.
Would you ever pair Drannith Magistrate with Uba Mask? The Beamtown Bullies and Tergrid are my goto evil commanders 😈
Woah! That's a salty combo right there. Just prevents your opponents from absolutely doing nothing, unless they have removal.
Outstanding! I wish I could see your Nevinyrral list!!!!
These are gonna add some stuff to the book of grudges at my table
BE RESPONSIBLE AND PLAY WITH CAUTION! 😂
Your Deck list for Nevinyrral, Urborg Tyrant would be awesome

@@yoshitheonly i agree i had krenko in the 99 and he exploded with something like 64 goblins in one round 😂
My Merieke Ri Beit deck is pretty painful
Love our Commander content - new subscriber here! :)
Awesome! Thank you!
Surprised I didnt see tergrid or Toxrill! Def my most hated decks lol. Might have to build me a Gaddock deck next😅
This is just 3 of the most evil commanders, don't worry, there are plenty more 👿
Containment priest does, in fact, not stop token generation
Correct. I mentioned it in the pinned comment, I misremembered the card and didn't catch it in the edit 😅
Inspiring me to make some mean decks for the channel! ;)
Embrace the dark side!
I thought that Raffine, Scheming Seer was quite evil.
How do you like to build/play them?
Evasive creatures and ordeals with the four card draw mill enchantments and cards that limit how many creatures they can attach with such as Crawlspace.
Too bad they banned leovold...
We're evil because we just can :)

If you can't beat 'em, Teeg 'em. #gaddockteegsuperiority
Is there a link to the list for Nevinyrral?
is there decklist for these decks ????

I think Memnarch is missing from the list xD
There's always next video 😉
What's the list for the Sen triplets esper stax😂😂😂
It's on my Moxfield page 😃 It needs some tuning but it's one of my most miserable decks 😂
I've got a Admiral Beckett Brass deck, beat em up with some pirates and take their stuff, I'm usually enemy #1 :)

shot out to every legend out there, if you spend enough you'll beat some CEDH decks.
urza should be in this vid.
He might be in the next one 😉
sounds like if you hate the first commander, other people hate you too
Regarding the Sen triplets. Putting mana fixing into the deck won't work. Anytime you produce mana that is not of your commander's identity it will produce colorless.
In 2015, with the launch of Battle For Zendikar, there was a rules change. You now can produce mana outside of your Commander's colour identity.
