Arkveld Theme - Monster Hunter Wilds

All right, a bladed whip weapon in mh might not be too bad. Imagine it having the abilities to grapple a monster then give damage after its been pulled. For reference its similar to what happens to Kong's hand after he catch Scar King's whip.
That sounds cool! I imagine the concept to be similar to the the Beastcutter in Bloodborne. Like all Bloodborne weapons you can switch between two modes (not unlike the Charge Blade and Switchaxe in Monster Hunter), it's a serrated cleaver in its base version and turns into a chain whip when transformed, not unlike Arkveld's wing appendages.
As much as I'd love to see Frontier weapons in the mainline games, an eccentric whip weapon sounds like it would fit perfectly into Monster Hunter.
Like Ivy's weapon in Soul Caliber, I'm all for it!!!! Bring new weapon Capcom.
I mean Toukiden 2 made it work, heck they even call it a chain whip like what Arkveld has. If Koei Tecmo can make it happen in a monster hunting game, I'm sure Capcom can too.
I would like some monsters from Explorers to show up as well because for a mobile game it had some well designed momsters.
Also doesn't the flying leviathans resemble the wind serpents of Rise a little?
Wait people were confused on Hirabami's classification?
It is a fish with serpentine features it is very in line to how other leviathans look
My first reaction to it was like "Somnacanth but it is legiana lol"
It is probably my favourite of the new wilds monsters personally, it looks so pretty
I thought it looked centipede or insect like so I was hoping it was a new skeleton of Neopteran or Carapaceon. XD
@honeychonav4027
Oh yea I can see it
The tail is a bit centipede like true
@Mirawaru Yeah! So at first I focused on its insect-like features and assumed it would be neopteran. But in real life Centipedes and Scorpians are closer related to crabs/lobsters so it couldve easily been a new Carapaceon skeleton. Still pretty cool we're getting a diverse range of leviathans.
Its the same way that Quematrice wouldve made an equal amount of sense as a Bird Wyvern even though it fits as a Brute.
My first thought was that it was a flying centipede.
I knew it was a Leviathan from the get go cuz of the body type (as I mention in the video) but we also have to remember that body types don't always determine what class it is. Plus they threw a bit of a curve ball with the centipede like appearance, which defo broke the norm of Leviathan characteristics, which makes it all the more impressive!
what if we got a version of arkveld at the end of the expansion of this game like scorned magnomalo or ruiner nergigante where arkveld has 6 whips
Again, thats not the apex monster, thats the handsome monster, its a whole new tier the devs added in, theyre above apex monsters.
Apparetnly you can also find Quematrice in the new beta
You can't. He only appears in the benchmark
