    15 - life means the prisoner cannot be considered for parole until he served the 15 years. But applying for parole and getting it are 2 different things. Stay out of prison people.

    In California it used to be that anything that ended with "to life" meant you were dieing in prison I went to prison the first time in 1995 and I knew people that were busted 15-20-25+ years on 7 to life's now I know a few people that are home because of these new law changes that would have never went home in the past so it's not necessarily true anymore that your sentence ending in "to life" means you are not ever getting out you know what I mean.

Which speaks to his heart he obviously was a solid youngster, and it’s definitely fucked up how the homies were trying to extort a real one. You would think they would be proud of young raza doing there thing being successful and staying solid, but naw all they care about was the money greed is a mf. R.I.P. Money$uede.

    Offenders serving life sentences with the possibility of parole are automatically eligible for a parole hearing typically 13 months prior to their Minimum Eligible Parole Date, or upon reaching the eligibility for the Youth Offender or Elderly Parole processes. Just because an Offender has been scheduled for a parole proceeding does not mean he or she will be released on parole. The Board of Parole Hearings (BPH) will determine whether offenders are suitable for parole. Offenders sentenced to life with the possibility of parole are not guaranteed parole and can be held in prison for life.

    If you have a 15 to Life sentence means that you'll be up for parole board after the 15 years which they'll either grant it And release you or deny it which at the point they can give you a 3 year/5 year/7years /10years or 15 years denial and that's going to determine when you back up for parole board.. 💯

    Mandatory 15yrs. To life means they can hold you for life beyond that 15yrs. I mean I'm in Texas and california is very different in how things are done. But you will do 15 and if the board rules to release you after that they will but if not they can set you off f0r say another 10 years which means you'll do another 10before parole board sees you again

  • @socalpyross
    @socalpyross 3 місяці тому +1

    An inmate must serve the minimum of his life sentence whether it's 7,8,9,15, 25yrs etc. In order to be eligible for parole.
    At a parole hearing, the panel will determine whether the inmate is suitable for release. If an inmate is found to not be suitable for parole, statutory law requires that the inmate’s next hearing be set 15, 10, 7, 5, or 3 years in the future.8 An inmate who is denied parole may submit to the Board a petition to advance his or her next hearing date, based on a change of circumstances or new information that establishes a reasonable likelihood that public safety does not require the additional period of incarceration imposed by the denial length previously issued.9 The Board may also advance an inmate’s next parole hearing date based on new information or a change in the inmate’s circumstances through its administrative review process.

    So most people unless they do extremely well and even then most of the time they're still denied on their first parole hearing date then they have to wait 5 years each time to go up to the parole board once again and if they have any kind of disciplinary write-ups they will be denied parole I had two different cell mates both of them were serving at seven to life terms not even for killing anybody and both of them have been there since 1976 and 1977 so at the time I was there they had both been down 43 and 44 years on 7 years to life they were both in their 60s and we're literally 17 and 18 years old when they were arrested

Now that’s hella messed up, that ain’t right man. Talk about getting railroaded! free those dudes, shout out to those dudes for riding that out. Man and they recently like maybe 5yrs ago changed some laws on the life terms for murder in California, if you were under the age of 25 when you committed the crime then they were giving you the chance to go to the board. Wonder why those dudes couldn’t get that appeal? Someone must have it out for them bro. A lot of homies and people got out when they changed that law. Man I hope those dudes get to have freedom someday frfr. They definitely paid there debt to society, locked down from 17/18 and now they are 60. Like damn let them at least die free. I’m sure they all ready lost most of their family and don’t really have anything or anyone to come out too if they didn’t have kids before they got locked down. Shit can they get 20yrs free at 60 before they die. They literally have done almost 70% of their life behind bars man free those dudes that shit just blew my mind……

    In example 15 to life means he has to do 15 years regardless, thats his minimum. He doesn't necessarily have parole unless its stated 15 to lofe with the possibility of parole. He can although begin applying for parole several years or well within completely doing his time. (Just in example he can apply for parole 5 years untill his complete 15 or 3 years before his full 15.) That depends on each individual and their Administration + Board. If he wasn't granted parole he would have to take it to court and hopefully he gets a grant (grant for parole). Not everybody gets grants. As 'well if he is granted parole dosent necessarily mean hes getting out just because he has parole. Its up to board! If they want to they can just say no! So think about what you do before you do something you're going to regret!

    Love this channel I’m really interested in La eme ….im from the UK 🇬🇧 and had a bad start as I was running with gangs etc and when I first ended up inside I started reading books and one was the black hand by Renee Martinez “boxer” the eme ex leader who turned snitch …..and from that moment American prison system has been an addiction….American prison couldn’t be more different from our prisons…..the uk are only just starting to be controlled by gangs and it’s the Muslims that are the power because the white boys haven’t woke up yet

    You come up on parole at your bottom number. So 15 is his bottom number that's when parole opportunities happen doesn't mean you get it but you go up to the board at 15 then once every certain amount of years after that till your release on said parole
