- Now compatible with both Gen 5 and Gen 4 Glocks. This second gen GPT is now rated at a 5lb. pull as opposed to the first gen GPT which is rated at 4lbs. Some other differences in the V.2 as opposed to the V.1 as well.

Being a one shot recording with no editing tools, there's a few things I should at least add in writing:
The trigger does indeed noticeably sit further forward than the stock trigger. There is no mushy pre travel with this standard connector. The wall is definite with an extremely crisp break. Glock rates it at a 5lb. pull but it feels much lighter than that to me. The reset may be slightly better than the stock Gen 5 trigger on the 26?
Overall, this 2nd gen GPT seems a good bit better to me than the Apex Triggers I've put on some of my other Glocks. Of all the trigger jobs I've done to my Glocks, the RAMM tactical trigger has been the best. In order of best first - Ramm, GPT, Apex, Overwatch Precision. As far as my EDC guns go, I stick with stock Glock triggers, with the exception of changing just the shoes. I do, however, really like this 2nd gen GPT and may actually end up trusting to carry with it after first firing a thousand rounds of course. In Glock I trust.
of note: I repeatedly refer to the Langdon Tactical Striker Control Device as simply a Striker Device. The word 'control' should not be excluded from SCD as that's exactly what is does - give control to the striker. One of these days I may invest in some simple editing software instead of just winging these recordings with a single start/stop one shot. Vast majority of my videos are first takes with no redoes whatsoever.
Last night I broke this Glock down to polish the trigger, but I stopped and put it back together after thinking the trigger looked, and more so felt, like it already had a special coating on it very similar to the NP3 coating on Overwatch Precision triggers with that slick teflon feel.
Have searched like crazy trying to research such via Google searches but can find absolutely nothing concerning any special coating on this new V.2 74332 GPT. Right before posting this comment, I again broke down and inspected the trigger and it definitely has a slick teflon like feel to it. Yup, not going to polish this one.
Like you, I am a big fan of the Gen 5 Glock 26 🙌😁 I just love the thing and I also prefer to keep mine stock for EDC. I am curious though, are you running a 6.1 or a 6.5 rear steel sight on yours, evidently there’s a significant affect on POA/POI between the two, and I seem to shoot mine extremely well with the 6.5 rear. Anyway, I like your content and enjoy watching. Keep’em coming.
It's the 6.1 Glock OEM Steel rear sight. The armorer at the Glock factory installed the sights for me without ever asking which rear sight I preferred. Figured I just trust whatever he installed. For whatever reason, he went with the Combat point of aim instead of the more standard PoA.

Your great question got me to researching more and have read that Gen 5 Glock 26 comes standard with a 6.1 rear sight, which strangely enough is different from most all of the other Gen 5 Glocks which come standard with 6.5 rear sights. Being that I pretty much always quickly replace the stock Glock plastic sights, I can't totally confirm such on my own at this time. My only Glock still having stock sights ATM is my wife's 42.
@@Belacose-HOGG ha, thanks for the timely response. Combat poa sight picture would be my preference and thought the 6.5 was the way to go on Gen 5, but maybe not. I have a 6.1 laying around so I think I’ll throw it on my 26 later today and give it a test run some time this week and see which of the two I’m shooting better with. Dang, it would seem the stock rear sights can vary out of the factory between Gen 5 G17, 19, and 26.

@@Belacose-HOGGyeah, at one point I didn’t even know about the different heights for OEM steel Glock sights but noticed my groupings were vastly different between my three Glocks and had to figure it out. I’m not sure how I’ll do with the 6.1 but I thought my 6.5 were ideal for combat holds and my on target results have been very satisfying indeed. I mainly train at defensive distances and at an indoor range so I can only test them out to 20 yards but I’m curious so as stated in my previous response I’m gonna throw the 6.1 on my G26 and do a comparison and see what I come up with. Just picked another up this morning. Newest version for Gen 4/5. Put it in a 23.4 gonna see how it works compared to the other. That 26mos is sick I’m trying to hunt down a 29.5mos currently for some reason
Wish you still made UA-cam videos, or at the very least would have left your others up. You offered the best Glock information over anyone else on UA-cam by far. And have the best rare Glocks collection I've seen.
Thank you brother! The gen 4 23 I picked up today is a C so that was cool. I’m bidding on another right now that I don’t necessarily want but if I don’t take the chance I doubt I’ll see another one anytime soon especially in the condition it’s in. I’m really trying to not buy a bunch of guns this summer but I’m already past my limit and it’s June so we’ll see. If I get a bunch of new stuff maybe I’ll redo videos and make some new ones

Now that they're not using Dot connector I might buy one. Johnny Glocks offers stuff for this although a bit pricey.
Though I'll likely just stick with the trigger shoe it came with, have been looking at the Johnny Glocks GPT Vex shoe upgrade.

@@Belacose-HOGG Johnny Glocks has a custom trigger for 43X and 48 that's very similar to the Glock performance. Don't know if available yet though?

Yea I have the johnny glock vex shoe for the glock performance trigger it's a nice feel eliminates most of the pre travel
What's wrong with dot connector isn't that lighter pull?
I put a first gen performance trigger in mine for a bit and hated it. The weight of the pull was the same taking up the slop as it was to fire. It was a long, smooth pull with a shot that felt just randomly thrown in there. Very odd. Just ordered a second gen trigger.
Have read in the Glock forums where several people had swapped out the dot connector for the standard connector on their first gen gpt due to the same reasons you mentioned, Let me know how you like the second gen gpt after you've tried it?
@@Belacose-HOGG The second gen trigger is much better. Has a more traditional feel. Like every non glock striker fired pistol. With the upgrade it's almost as good as the stock M&P 2.0 trigger.

@@Belacose-HOGGI am puzzled why they swapped dot connector for regular? My understanding the dot adds weight but more crisp. Which is a lighter pull?
@@jackomalley3687 The dot connector is a tad lighter but mushy. Second version of the GPT replaced the dot with the standard connector which is about a half pound heavier pull but with a cleaner crisp break. I explained this in more detail in the above video.
From what i have heard the maintinence and upkeep of the perfeomance trigger is high thats what they told us in our glock armorers class a few months ago i wouldnt use it imo

Quick question
Just purchased the Glock performance trigger everything looks good and it’s performing well but when I remove the slide to take the gun apart I notice that the side plate is making contact with the metal piece that holds the fire pin I have to pull it alittle hard for it to come out or just press the trigger just a little bit so that metal piece can have clearance
Is this normal?
It’s pushed forward due to the design of the trigger so when you take it off pull the trigger and it will slide right off.

Apex, Boogeyman Customs, Overwatch Precision, and Agency Arms. The only triggers worth buying.
Agency arms is trash and not safe, apex and overwatch are allowed by some police units, boogeyman is iffy not worth buying imo. GPT with Johnny vex shoe is by far the best combo with a + connector it has a defined wall and great for an edc gun.
