Hi CJ…I just got my Smart Lid Ninja 14 in 1 XL Pressure cooker/ steam fryer delivered and just my luck to tune in to your presentation showing how to unpack and use this big baby! I bought mine from Bed Bath and Beyond on sale for $199.00…I have never seen a lower price anywhere! I find you one of the most honest Reviewers on UA-cam…Thank you!
Very interesting concept, and now Ninja has just announced their new grill with heat on the bottom, plus a sear grate! Looking forward to your first look on that, as well, and your first real cook on both!
Just used mine for the first time on Steam Roast, To do a roast dinner, beef, potatoes, petit pois and Yorkshire pudding in about 70 minutes and I was amazed it was 😋
I'm checking all the videos for this appliance since I ordered one today. I ordered the the thermometer. I am so anxious to start cooking with it. Thanks for posting. Until the end of Labor Day, it's a $70 discount on the model with the thermometer.
Loved seeing that block-o-wings turn into tasty crispy wings!!!! We like our wings cooked to 180 too!! You rock CJ!!!!!! Also, can we just say we LOOOOOVE your sultry smooth voice!!!!!🤩🤩🔥🔥👏👏
CJ I have been following you since my first ninja. Just came across this and yep had to order. Can't wait to see what you do with it, Thanks to your videos cooking has become fun and I'm a tad broke. Keep up the good work!
I’m so confused by these pressure cookers.I live in the UK our energy prices are crazy ! I want to do a roast, make curries, stews, chips, burgers, bake a cake sponge, pizza, rice ,roast potatoes, will this one foodie do all this
Hi CJ, what is the model number on the back of your Ninja Foodi plz.? I want to order the model you have. They have several models out there on the market.
Hola CJ, I just bought the OL701 newest version of the Ninja Foodi XL Pressure Cooker SmartLid which is OMG even better, the best. Especially for those of us who bake breads, and it has so amazing more features over this version OL601 that you have. But, hey it is also an OMG since the newest is a little pricey than this one by like $100. I decided rather than buying another grill and I am happy I contemplated cause something better was coming along my way...BAM, that is when I discovered the OL701. But, Amazon is offering 5 payment installment's which allows me to afford and buy my best cooking unit yet! Can't wait to see you cook with this one giving us great ideas I am sure.
nice one, i have an original small size one, am here in the UK, i see the largest model has a built in thermometer function, may look at that for future purchase, look forward to your updates
I know they are two different things but if you have this do still need to get the foodi grill/griddle. It seems this can do everything but the griddle part. Maybe it’s a dumb question
CJ - I just noticed that Ninja has 2 models of the 8 QT Ninja Foodi XL Pressure Cooker Steam Fryer with SmartLid - the OL701 which has a Smart Thermometer, and the OL601 which does not. Which model did you demo, and if it was the OL601, is there a receptacle in the lid in order to add on the Smart Thermometer? Evidently, the OL701 has a receptacle and you either have to put the "dummy" plug or plug in the Smart Thermometer in order for it to operate. The OL701 also evidently has a "Preset" function similar to the grills even though the probe's cord is only about 12" long - wondering if the OL601 has the "Preset" setting (assuming it can accommodate the Smart Thermometer). THX in advance!!!
@@CookingWithCJ many thanks for the reply we was stuck between getting the 15 in one or the grill... But we probably wouldn't use half the settings on the 15 in 1.
Hello CJ appreciate ur videos but found out that I can still steam an crisp may take a tab longer but same results will till this one goes out first thxs
Is the nonstick liner the same as the old ninja foodie? I bought a stainless one for my foodie because I don't like nonstick. Would be cool to be able to use the same one.
ugh I can't keep buying the newer versions. lol I can't wait until you show some things you can cook with it that turn out well. I love the 1 lid. However it sure is huge!
Hey CJ. Do you still have & use this Ninja Foodi? Asking because I just ordered a new one. Thank you, Your subscriber. And do u have more videos using this model in your videos?
CJ, I just received my Ninja Foodi XL OL701, washed removable parts as per instructions, thoroughly dried and got everything in its place with the exception of the freakin silicone ring. i have spent the whole afternoon trying to get it reinserted but no avail. Can you please demo how to get this done. I am almost ready to send it back!!!
I hope to get it. How high is it with the lid open..? Space between my countertop and upper cabinets is 23 inches. Could you help perhaps...thank you..
Appreciate the immediate reply, I am asking this in behalf of my elder brother, who is a nurse and not much of a cook and press for time to come up with delightful viands, the Ninja XL will give him an option to experiment, thanks again for the answer.
Steam fryer? Are they making shit up now. Lol. Though it’s a instant buy with the new lid. 💪💪. I’m very interested in the Sous Vide and Slow cooker feature. Will it work as good as the stand alone units doing it
Great design. You knew something new was coming when they dropped the price of the original so dramatically a few months ago. But I gotta keep it real CJ. Those wings did look all that crispy compared to the original Ninja Foodi. Glad you're cutting out the sugar..... it's in everything! Dr. Ken Berry on UA-cam. Changed my life. Good luck Bro!👍🏻

I’d give those wings another spray mix the seasoning and chicken wings again for a 3rd time and leave it in the air fryer for 15 mins I love my wings good n brown. T.T
So I just bought the one from Costco that has the extra pressure cooker lid. My first thought was “ wait, the fryer lid just flips up and stays there” super awkward to carry and transport. Now I’m seeing this video and they come with a dual lid? So I bought the wrong/old model?
Joe blow: you will still love it.Costo will refund you.If u used it,Clean it up & return it. I have had mine since 2016,use it every day.Bought a shelve for under sink storage,& store the pressure lid there.Wrapped in plastic.Of course I Do not store any cleaning supply's under my sink...That is in garage ,hanging shoe bag on a hook for Dish soap,Dawn,Scratchers,Pledge,ECT EC.Bathroom I have same thing,on backside of door. Not under sink..
I am guessing you were in the military, heavy Artillery by any chance, I found it so noisy I had to get rid of it, in a small kitchen it's unbearably loud.
Bet you kicked yourself after the one with the built in thermometer came out. What's the measurement across the inside bottom of the fry basket so I can get the right sized paper liners for it? Thanks.
Hi Cj, I just got my foodi in the mail yesterday I can't wait to use it, your wings came out crispy and delicious, quick favor could you give my channel a shout out it would be most appreciated.

I get more use out of the grill. It’s more versatile.
GREAT JOB! Highly recommend the Frag Out Flavor Combat Canary seasoning for the wings.
I’ll check it out. Thanks much

Great video.. Would you choose this or the grill xl Pro?..
Thanks! I would choose the XL grill and griddle over this.

No not in there.

Nice ! Another toy for my boy ! And no extra lid ! WooHoo !
Yessir! Appreciate you brother!
Hey Cj hope we get this downunder !! What’s the difference between steam crisp and normal air frying ?
Hey brother! From what I can tell so far, it helps cook the meat more evenly and keeps it juicier.
@@CookingWithCJ interesting concept hey. Asked the ninja gods downunder and we are getting this one next year 🥳
Does the lid come off for cleaning?
No it doesn’t

I don’t see why not
Hey CJ. Do you still have & use this Ninja Foodi? Asking because I just ordered a new one. Thank you, Your subscriber.
And do u have more videos using this model in your videos?
I have a whole playlist with recipes in the Foodi. I’ll start using it more as winter approaches.
@@CookingWithCJ Ok Great! Because I just received my new 8 qt one today. I just did the water test in it.
Does this also make rice and pasta like a rice cooker and boil water for pasta
I believe so, I haven’t tried to use it for those yet.

Check out The Tasty Travelers on UA-cam, they just did a short video on it.
Can you clean both of the lids by taking it off
Only one lid on this unit. The older model had two lids.
I hope to get it. How high is it with the lid open..? Space between my countertop and upper cabinets is 23 inches. Could you help perhaps...thank you..
I haven’t measured, but I would think fully open, it might hit that mark.
I'm loving this !!👍
Thank you!
Love your videos. Did ninja give you this to try out? You deserve it .
Yessir. I’m a ambassador for Ninja.
@@CookingWithCJ very nice. I hope you do some videos on the ninja Creami too
We love our ninja air fryer and wish we had the foodie xl! -S
Ninja is the best!
Hey CJ, do you have an idea if it uses the microwave technology on its system.
No, it’s heated air, circulating over a heating element.

does it slow cook better than previous models of ninja - slow cook was one of its worst performing features so hopefully much improved in this model?
