Creamier and woodier would be nice... It’s unfortunate that Mancera had to weaken recent bottles of the OG in order to release this. I have a 10mL decant of CB that smells and performs wonderfully… I got a bottle last year and was so let down… as I still am. Completely watered down, I hardly get any of the vanilla that blended so nicely with the fruit notes and added substance and longevity. Left with a weak, hardly detectable leather note that just doesn’t blend well or do anything for the scent. Probably the reason why there are so many mixed reviews considering those with older bottles actually enjoy it and us with newer bottles can’t understand the hype.
I full agree with you mate. I have the screw cap but can't remember whether the screw cap or magnetic cap is an older batch. It's so frustrating when companies reformulate fragrances. I feel instant crush has been rained in a bit. It used to be absolutely beast mode now its more moderate In projection
@@dantalksscentsuk I know.. I wish they would just leave the scents be if it’s not a matter of limited resources. I feel like these companies mess with the formula as soon as it catches some steam in sales… like a bartender watering down drinks as the nights goes on. Companies didn’t used to do that, if it was good, it was just as good for years to come without worry. Ps. The screw caps are the ones to get however I have a mag cap Instant Crush and it’s very strong and my weakened CB is a screw cap. From what I’ve heard Cedrat Boise was reformulated in late 2019-current
I have a screw cap version of Soleil D’Italie and it’s great. I have newer versions of Aoud lemon Mint and Saharian Wind and they perform very well. Newer batch of Aoud Vanille, super strong at first, but settles quickly. Just decent performance.
Today I received my decant 10ml. I don't know the smell of the OG. Intense in my opinion is very plesant smell, I like it. Seems that after couple of hours the cent transform into a smoke vibe. I like it.
Thanks for the review! It would be logical if it projects less. Extraits stay longer, but project less. Look at reviews about the concentrated Amouages, they project less and smell more subdued.

When I reviewed this I have been wondering whether it was just my skin chemistry but reading your feedback and others opinions on this I think I was correct in my review. Agree with everything you say mate. I'm disappointed too.
One funny thing is the label at the back of the box it says eau de perfume ingredients and front bit says extrait de perfume im left wandering did they just labelled it as an extrait when its just the reformulated edp betting on the fact people would buy expecting better performances

I guess this means the original CB was reformulated. These companies just love to make money like this. Next it will be CB edp extreme or something like that. Ridiculous. They should have left the original like it was. Nice and powerful. I wouldn’t give these companies a dime of my money
It is. They are lying and ripping customers off. There should be a law that states any reformulation should be noted on the box. A note or something saying that the fragrance has been reformulated. The buyer has the right to know this. Or just stop buying their products. Let them lose money. Who cares? They obviously don’t care about us

Also, Napa and Sonoma have a code of standards, the frag world should do the same. If I own a restaurant and people are lined up to get in, why the f$&ck would I cheapen and change the recipe?? Very true. I quit buying cologne a few years ago. No way I’m spending my hard earned money on these weak skin scents. They have to do better than this and stop playing around. I’ve been using cologne since the seventies and I know what a great performing fragrance is all about. I really miss those days. Especially the eighties and nineties
Like with any business, when quality goes down, business suffers. I am pretty sure these reformulations and other things have cost these fragrance companies tons of money

Extraits are not projection monsters it should last longer but sit closer to your skin since it would have less alcohol to project the scent
