TODAY IS THE DAY FINALLY !!! THE GOLD DREDGE HAS ARRIVED AND ITS A BRAND NEW 4" PROLINE DREDGE, THIS IS THE FIRST VIDEO OF IT IN ACTION IN THE CREEK AND WE FOUND A LITTLE BIT OF GOLD SO WE DIDN'T GET SKUNKED!! Take it from an old dude that has done some dredging in my day. One thing you need to stay very aware of is the water temp and how long you spend in it. I invested in a wetsuit and spent several hours working a fairly productive spot and when my dredge finally ran out of gas I found that I could barely stand and had to literally crawl up the bank, shuck my wet suit and find a sunny spot to get my blood flowing enough to load up my gear and make it back to the camp trailer. I was lucky the trailer had a working heater because I spent the next few hours shevering in a sleeping bag hoping I had not overdone it. It was 2AM before I had enough strength to get up and have some hot coffee and soup. Believe me hyperthermia is some serious JU JU.
Fun stuff right there! I just finally bought some basic panning gear for my trips out to Colorado I take every year. Famliy and I just returned from there last week and I brought home with me a bunch of pay dirt from a few of the creeks out there. Been sifting and panning through it over the last several days and I’m having a blast doing it, finding the gold is just the icing on the cake. The experience is what it’s all about!
Without a doubt, a gold dredge is a nice toy, but this sound from the generator all day long🙉. I would go crazy😣. No chirping birds, no beautiful river sounds, enjoying the peace in nature. These are all the nice things about panning for gold. Everything beautiful is drowned out with machine noises. Such an effort for these few crumbs. Under no circumstance. Thx for showing Kyle🙏. Very nice system, you can definitely catch gold with it. Forbidden here in Germany, what I don't like is the loud engine noise 💆 this suppresses the calm of the river and the relaxation is gone 😴 Greetings from the Allgäu ⚒🏔🍻✌️

Great dredge...I have the 4" Proline too. One of the two of us, either you or I, are running their "wave classifier" upside down. I run mine with those side rails down, creating a gap between the classifier and the mat. The dredge was set up that way when I purchased it new from the local shop, so I could be the one running it wrong.....

You may have done better than you think. With a jet dredge every time the nozzle sucks air it changes the flow of water. The water level drops so much that it blows out the material behind the riffle and the gold with it. So happy to see you have such a nice new machine. The look on your face at the beginning of the video tells it all. Good luck with this.

Damnit bro.....im digging that 4" proline...she bad. Im building a similar set up. W a custom box.
You need to add a piece to your hose at the suction end to basically classify at 2" as to stop jams. 3/16 rod bent to a U shape x2 and fit over end.👍😎✌️
I was thinking of welding on a spike, and yes that classifies to that size.
@@Outlawarchaeology long arming will always get plugs full stop . That's why I don't do it . Don't putt anything on your nozzle my friend. As soon as you get underwater and can see what your doing . that's when you stop the jams full stop .most days I don't get jams as it's user error . Practice makes perfect and you have the very tool for the job my friend ,cheers and all the best oh luck
Little advice. Try to let your nozzle “slurp” it can cause a surge of water in the box. Doing great though. Love the dredge

Little River by Knoxville in foot hills of Smokey Mountains. First pull off where picnic tables are. Dig down to red clay layer, gold is sitting on top of clay. Another gray layer under that but it doesn't have gold. Nice size flakes there if it hasn't all been worked out by now.

@@Outlawarchaeology hello Kyle my friend and fellow dredger Arrrrrrrrrr. Well the safest solution is the plastic tank from Keene ,the R T 1. The Ali tank is really not good ,makes me wonder why they make them????? , also a in line air filter should be fitted to ensure pure air . I hope this helps my friend ,as not enough is being said among our dredgin community, about the dangers of Ali tanks full stop ???? I'm here for you buddy ,any advice you need just ask . I'm a crazy dredger butt I want us all to go home safe n sound ,wi pockets oh gold . Arrrrr all the best from across the pond ☠👍👍👍⛏💙

@@Outlawarchaeology i got a nice pocket knife and today i big diamond earring i will have to try the fine gold program in the area i was sluicing / panning i can see gold glitter when im digging and then the water clears up in just not recovering much when panning i just got a garret super sluice pan better then my other cheap one but i have a good size rock had moss growing on it i been digging around and there is a even bigger one that 3 people could sun bath on lol seems like the farther i go up the more black sand i see

@@Outlawarchaeology At walmart they have 4 prong rakes with yellow fiberglass handles get one to rake the big rocks outta the way also a good tool to go thru gravel bars looking for artifacts . Works great.

Gold dredging creates breeding grounds and lead removal there’s is way more good than well I don’t think there’s any bad at it at all !
Nice new Dredge. Hope that dream mat works for you. I'm still trying too figure out how the vortex mat is supposed to be set up as far as pitch and flow. I've not had much luck with it catching all the gold. It keeps loosing quite a bit. I'm not impressed with it

Id keep the Dream Mat on land,use it for cleanups and run the stock riffles and carpet just my 2 cents lol.

Where is the snorkel on you compressor to give you clean air & not breathing in exhaust fumes? I couldn't watch past the point you put the full face on & still just bent over the suction hose. Be a lot more comfy to lie out in the water & not give your back a hard time.
Flip the belt off your compressor when you're not diving man 🤦♂️ there's enough room on the pulley to not chew it up, I always do it with mine and it saves belts and you don't have to listen to the blow off valve every 30 seconds 👍

@@Outlawarchaeology once you get the hang of it you'll be rolling 👍, also in the spots where you find a good pay streak to follow test pan as you go so as you're not running barron dirt and keep your tailings in one place tie your dredge so it's not swinging around over ground you may work later, you have selected a great machine to start off that's for sure you also seem to have the drive to give it a proper crack. I’m so curious what the dream mat looks like also I’ve been wanting to ask you if the rest of the rocks in waterways in this county get an almost black film on them from I gues minerals in the water or were all just dirty dogs lol because I can turn rocks over and then see what they actually look like and miratic acid cleans the dark film off but do you think that that means that the gold also has that black film? If so there could be big gold and people don’t realize because they have never thought of that or even payed attention to the film anyway I have found tones of bedrock here and massive black sand more than I see you get sometimes so if you start traveling to check shit or gold out other places you really should come help me figure this out. There is not many prospectors around here that I know of so a lot is in touched and totally ok to go to. Let me know what you think?!?!?!
I guess what I’m trying to ask is if you think gold is gonna be not dense enough to allow something like a black film from minerals in the water to attract to it like an agate ( and this is the correct way to spell it and say it sorry I was wrong before) but dirt doesn’t usually attach to agates because they are so hard so I’m asking you if you think gold is soft enough for the film to attach to it?
All the gold that I have found has been super clean or covered in mercury, I have had on 2 occasions when I found gold with copper and gold with black magnetite on it, I also have seen other states gold and it looks a lot different ! I think it all depends where it’s coming from.
Kyle Thiemane I cant be the only person ever to prospect Cowlitz county. If you think of it maybe ask for any images it you can just because the how there well known visitor attractions like Green mountain Rd where all streets that stem from it has a name pertaining to rock hounding of some kind. I’ve only seen videos where someone mentions gold prospecting at the coastline. We have crevices too right.
