    Overworking the skin, or fake skin, in my case is a problem i have had in my practice. I have been a heavy handed writer (push the paper days) and have been trying every day to work on lightening it up. I am working to improve my hand speed-volt synchronicity and to not be as aggressive with my movements. Thank you for giving me a checklist to properly work on these issues and work to nolonger overwork the skin as much as i do. Thank you Daniel for all the clear and concise information as always. And thank you for the care you put into your videos. This was awesomely scientific having each example of overworking. Blessings to you and your family brother. You are appreciated Daniel!

    Great video, thank you.
    I have an issue that im not sure if its a fake skin issue or if im overworking the skin - its usually not on packing color, but when I pull lines, they sometimes look sliced.
    I run a pretty low voltage, so I think it might just be me being heavy handed. But if I dont push the needle in, I sometimes get faded lines.

    Hey man well done again with another great video that will ACTUALLY benefit tattoo artists 🙌 question for you!
    I have been using the police cartridges on real skin lately and I've been running into an issue where it'll just seem like they don't want to hold ink or the ink actually just dumps right out.
    Just wondering if you've experienced this at all? I had to use 4 different cartridges on a small piece which sucked.
    I do put my middle finger right down by the needle for support so I can pull crispy lines and maybe if my finger hits the little drip at the tip would that cause all the ink to just flow out of the cart?
    Idk that may be a confusing question but I'm considering investing in kwadron because I'm not sure I'm liking these police carts to be honest (on real skin, fake skin they're great)

    Thanks so much, I got a tattoo a year ago and I’ve pretty much every type of skin tattoo trauma from it. Massive blowouts, raised scarring, color wash out, mad textures. This was off a very well known artist. It fecking HURT! I’ve several big tattoos, none have any issues. Is there anything I can do? Can I get it tidied up do you think? Thanks!

    How do you feel about riding the tube when filling color or black to make sure that the needle doesn't go too deep/overworking the area?
    Curious because I'm still trying to see what I'm more comfy with, and so far it's with riding the tube... Lmk what your opinion is please 🙏

  • @pouyah5288

    So, my question is that how should we proceed if we noticed the skin we're working on is getting overworked. Should we stop the tattoo entirely and let the tattoo heal and tackle it in a retouching session or we should work on another parts of the tattoo and let the overworked part calm down a little and work on n it again in the very same session?

    When packing or shading how do we make up for shallow needle depth if only the needle tips are used?

    • @DanielYuck
      @DanielYuck  5 місяців тому +1

      This is a fantastic question!
      So when we work off of the needle tips we still are breaking open the skin but with working off of the tip of the needle we are depositing ink into the skin still just in a less abrasive manor. Because we work off the tip of the needle doesn’t mean that we aren’t going deep enough it means that we are building up to a certain level of saturation.
      We can also still apply just a little bit of force when using the tips of the needles and I feel this is where needle depth comes into play, by the force we are applying. When it comes to shading I feel it’s more so brushing the skin with varying tones.

    • @DanielYuck
      @DanielYuck  5 місяців тому +1

      Also To make up for shallow needle work I typically leave my needle working that area a little longer. I find that when I’m using the tips of the needle I slow my voltage down to give the needle enough time to work the skin without having to press down harder or be aggressive at all.

    • @artstudent1237
      @artstudent1237 5 місяців тому

      @@DanielYuck Ok I thought that since it's just the tip of the needles being applied that the ink would only be deposited and saturated into the dermis layer and that the ink would completely disappear during the healing process. Now I get it. Thank you for taking time to answer and teaching us how to properly tattoo. Always appreciated because if it weren't for individuals like yourself then many of us who tried to get an apprenticeship but couldn't would either quit or have to unnecessarily learn on our own improperly

    • @DanielYuck
      @DanielYuck  4 місяці тому +1

      Thats a good and tough one!
      I can't say for certain what it could be. It could be maybe the voltage setting isn't strong enough to drive the needle out as far as it needs. Maybe you can re-adjust the depth a bit further out to compensate for the lower voltage. I don't use coils often so it is a bit hard to say for certain and for that I apologize.
