@@Self37 I don't think so no. It's probably just that gin and dubbonet is a strong drink/is an acquired taste and she's the only one who really likes it.
Elizabeth II is such a marvelous Queen. Imagine being born to be the Queen whether she liked it or not: she is class personified and I cannot say enough about this wonderful lady!
@@ramencurry6672 Plymouth is excellent and is my usual gin but recently I've discovered Booth's, reintroduced after many years. I read it used to be the Queen's favourite. I've not tried it with Dubonnet though.
I've always loved her and we share a common liquor. Gin is for health! 🫗Pour for the most magneficent! 🍸Cheers to the late Queen of the United Kingdom! Cheers to Her Majesty Elizabeth!
Whoever preferred Citadelle gin to Gordon's...great choice! Fine gin, reasonably priced. Somebody else commented the queen's 94 years old. Think I'll have a queen's cocktail every day myself.
Lol!! I tried it last nite , at first I thought it tasted like sherry Boy was I wrong!! Seeing this video again I see I used the wrong size glass! So next time smaller glass!!
It's called a Royal Cypher. The E stands for Elizabeth and the R for Regina. Regina is simply the word "queen" written in the Latin language. A smaller Roman numeral for the number two appears between the "E" and the "R". An image of St. Edward's Crown appears over the letters and the Roman numeral.
It actually tastes really delicious. I just got a bottle of Dubonnet and was surprised how good this simple drink is. As gin averse you probably want to pick a very light “vodka drinkers” type Craft gin if you try it.
Well I’m off the the store to pick up Gin and Dubonnet. Oh, and a lemon. And a silver tray. And a butler to serve it.
dont forget the perfect ice or ice molds
Didn't think of the silver tray... my bench is grey though! Husband had to open the bottle for me, so butler right there lol.
Got it all except the butler🙄
Finding a butler is relatively easy. Finding the correct uniform is the hard part.
Total wine 🍷 I’ve heard has it all! Js! 😭😭😭
"It is only Her Majesy who drinks the gin & dubonnet, and no one else"
Yea because it's too strong for anyone else.
I make these all the time. I use Tanqueray. Is it tradition that no one else can drink it in her presence or is she the only one who likes it?

She wasn’t born to be the queen. That all happened when her uncle abdicated and her father became king
Great drink. Just grabbed a bottle of Gordon's and made to her exact specifications. Good taste has Her Majesty.
Alright yoda boy😂
Sounds great. Personally I would use Plymouth gin instead of the Gordon

That would knock me out! Tough lady!

Dubonnet was awarded a Royal Warrant by the Queen in Nov 2021 so it’s def one of her best fav 😁

I was about to comment "the queen drinks virgin's blood" but then I realised what channel this was.
rest in peace queen
The country is not the same without our beloved Queen Elizabeth. Shame Princess Anne is not Queen as the others are too political & fake .
I learned about Dubonnet from the movie ‘Dreamboat’, with Clifton Webb.
Just made this. Interesting taste, not good, not bad :)
Hienosti hoidetaan 🌼🍒✨
Thank you!
I like both but have never had them together. I'm intrigued 🤔.
I tasted lovely . Just a little more sweeter version of Parisian cocktail
I would stir that for the Queen and do a spritz of lemon peel on top for aroma

Vive la reine 🇬🇧👸
Is this actually Charles' channel?
what kind of gin is that?
Gordon's Gin
@@thegreatcomposer Gordon's is good for this, but for my taste Citadelle gin is a perfect match for Dubonnet.
what's ER?

It's at the front of a big building with patients, but that's not important right now
@@thegreatcomposerI need that glass.
SQUARE ice cubes ????I thought Lilibet hated Square ice cubes!!!
Glad she likes it, everyone is entitled to their fav drink. Sounds ghastly to me and wouldn't touch it as gin is not my thing.

I’m sure we all have fond memories of stopping ice from melting at room temperature.
