Appreciate the comments on the 1/19 runway paving. Work on the intersection is coming up and will require closing both runways, it’s done overnight between a Saturday and Sunday to minimize ops impacts.
flying over my town at 0:03 haha! cool to see a POV. Also see my A&P school next to KTEB. I wish my commute was with a jet instead of driving the 1hour 20 min.
Man I miss TEB. I haven't landed there in two decades. Got my PPL there, twenty five years ago (10/2/99). Although I stopped at the PPL level (already establish in my electrical career), I'm so glad I had the experience of taking flight lessons under such demanding conditions! I remember that T&Gs were prohibited, and I actually soloed at MMU. Back then, there were two schools if I remember correctly. I attended Million Air Flight School, which was located in the building at 19:56 in your video. Crazy that there were flight schools there, with Cessnas and Pipers competing with all of the jet traffic, lol. I think they relocated over a decade ago. 😂 Fun times! Awesome video 👍🏾
😂😂..that's wild . Imagine a plane full with passengers and no one never thought of being a pilot .. ty for flying the friendly skies 😂.. but yet passengers complain haaa
Taking a new person into TEB, who’s never been in the NY metro area, is a hoot. Why? Cuz one part is trying to check-in on the radio and it’s nonstop chatter. ATC will eventually call ya and talk like you’ve already talked to them. Fun times are during those gusty northwest wind approaches. So it’s an approach to Rwy 06 circle Rwy 01. The winds push ya, they burble over the buildings in Hasbrouck Heights and make landing fun. Plus ya have to watch the antennas in the area during the circle and descent. TEB is a tricky place, but it’s fun.
Awesome video. That lake you’re making a right over at 12:05 is the Woodcliff Lake reservoir in Bergen County NJ, right by where I live. Looks like you’re using that as a marker to turn right before final approach?
Many a New Yorker uses TEB and to say it’s not part of NY is only stating geographic facts. Tell the Port Authority of NY and NJ it’s not part of NY. Heck, SWF is part of NY and yet uses the claim it’s near the city. It’s not geographically speaking. It is part of the PA of NY and NJ. It’s an ego thing.
Everyone uses iPads these days makes things so much easier and safe decreases the chances of getting task saturated imagine having to go through tpps nd afd etc
Can’t get enough of the POV cam! Unique and immersive

Great video guys. Well done. I live a bit west of TEB and enjoy the Friday and Sundays shows. Lots of cubic dollars there. Thx.

That’s the New Jersey. Not NY. And KEWR is No longer considered a NY airport.
In the description ive stated that this is NJ, but TEB is the main gateway to New York for private aviation.
@@TheChallengerPilot Ok
KEWR is controlled by Port Authority of NY & NJ just like JFK and LGA. Just curious why you say "no longer considered".
