Your videos are fascinating man. I love seeing things from a pilot's POV. You and your colleague are very strategic and are always planning your next move. Just trying all this on XPLANE, which doesn't give a complete idea, but a strong indication of what you do. It really gives me a newfound respect for all pilots, plus this Challenger seems like a fun plane to fly.
Nice landing fellas. I used to work at MRY back in the early 80’s pulling instruments from some aircraft that were bought and being pilfered for the good stuff. And I cut grass. I was in high school and it was a good time. When I was working on my private license I would fly out of Salinas and did some touch and go’s at MRY. Good times.
Back in the 70's when Ft.Ord was a very busy Army base, there was a LOT of servicemen going thru this airport. Airwest flew DC-9's to SFO and United flew 727's and 737's to SFO and LAX and a non-stop to ORD for awhile. No RJ's back then!!!

My home town. I used to watch 727s land there when I was a kid in the late 60s. They would come in right over our house on Watson street. Cool video!
Nice!
Nice to see you fly over my home. I work at Laguna Seca Raceway.
@@justsomedude2962 Nice!
It's a shame the neighbors want to shut this world renowned iconic track so I wish you the best in that situation.
Nice. I worked for three years in the Ryan Ranch area just before the runway. Loved to hear the engines of the airplanes before they landed.
Nice!

When the left seat is not visible, the lighting and the head movements sometimes make it look like it's a game!

Very nice approach and landing.

Good ole Ft Ord.
She was there a long time. Beautiful location, but deeply expensive for many based there when housing wasn’t available.
I have the bread, you have the butter. Very nice landing.
Haha thanks!
7:25 - Never flew in there, but drove by it many times. Guessed the wind would be off the ocean and the runway would be ~27/09. Yep: "28 left".
cockpit looks like an airliner vs private jet, enjoy your videos

What type of Challenger is she? 300 series? I see no overhead panel so I’m ruling out the 600 series.
Yea, 300
Do you guys switch to the apu bleeds through 10, is so why is that?

Reminds me of the CRJ cockpit
@@jay-rus4437 a little, i think the Challenger 604/5 is more similar to the CRJ
@@TheChallengerPilot ….yes. Guess I should have said “kind of reminds me”. Maybe just the angled sections on each side of the MIP.

Why does the challenger have you start the apu and switch the bleads vs using engine bleed air? Does an inop apu ground the plane?
