What I love @10:45, is after Hicky mentions his favourite stretch of road, John then describes in absolute detail, a number of things about that 20 meters stretch. Fantastic interview as always and thankyou Bennetts.
As a 36 year old who worked at Game in Douglas when the original TT game came out, it kind of blows my mind to think we now have winners in the actual TT who used that game to learn the track. I remember even wondering at the time if it would be something that could happen, and here we are!
What a brilliant interview, excellent. If anyone can pass on my sincere thanks to Peter Hickman I would very much appreciate it. He was so friendly to my young daughter it really made her day or maybe her year, we were at the Thruxton BSB. Very good luck to you guys at the TT this year.
Cheers Alan, both John and Peter always have time for the race fans, I think that's why they're admired by many. Glad you enjoyed the interview, all the best, Michael
TT is really back with a bang and will be live, great to listen to John and Peter on varied topics. A very special motorcycle event indeed and may it continue. Well done gents.
IMO, anyone who has raced The Isle Of Man TT Race is a true Warrior. They are all out there doing battle with each other and the track and one mistake could cost them dearly. The mixture of emotions they must feel during a race is truely difficult to comprehend. Hugh Respect. All the best to everyone involved from the race organizers to the spectators. Great interview. I have nothing but respect and admiration for John, Peter and all the guys racing. Fascinating to get an insight into the racing. I can’t wait for the TT to start! Good luck and ride safe.
The age shots were epic. "Nothing to prove anymore" No sheet!! Buying coverage until I have where with all to attend. You riders are mad, and I appreciate it.
Nice to see two great riders just enjoying talking bikes,no BS,respect for each other and each other’s abilities Unlike some interviews you see on here
Thank you for posting this great interview I don't race I've loved anything on wheels my whole life thank you for taking me along for this series . I ride my motorcycle on public roads at 70 years old I believe its more dangerous in today's world than year's past . Thank you again for posting this interview .
You chaps are my only super-heroes, I can't imagine what it's like at the starting line of the TT. And then, flat out. I'm completely conflicted at that time. Then, it's the greatest thing to see. I hate the crashes and incidents, but love everything else. It also makes me ride more saferly, the idea of emulating the riders at the TT makes pushing it seem ridiculous.
The TT is such a polarising event. Love it or loathe it. The guys that excel at it are partly super human. Motorcycle racers in general operate at a different level of cognisance. TT riders push that envelope to the limit. Can John get back to the pointy end. I really hope so as have been a big fan for years. Just hope he comes out unscathed. Really looking forward to the start. Wish I could be there. Good luck to all the riders.
It takes a very very special breed of person to go all out around that beautiful island and it truly is a lap of the gods, what a special place and what legends all the riders are 💪🏻 2 of my favourite riders here and I really enjoyed this interview👍🏻
Fantastic interview! I really didn’t want it to end!! For these two and most of the other riders at the TT to be this humble is astounding. Can’t wait for TT safe racing every one. 💪💪💪
It's when rosd furniture enters your head that the TT, the greatest race on Earth, becomes a problem. I pray to the god of bikers that there's no harm done this year. Love the vid. Perfect
I’m really interested in seeing how all the new bikes will fair. Especially the Aprilia RS660s and Yamaha R7s going up against the tried and tested Suzukis and Kawasakis. PS. 100% rooting for John McGuinnes. Top bloke.
Great interview, the interviewer was correct he could have put his microphone down and let them talk. The sign of a great interviewer who knows his subject area.
got great memories of the tt. been to the island a few times from when our son was eighteen months old on a sidecar outfit, fitted myself to my 750 suzuki at the time. great memories now 73 and still enjoy riding ,now on royal enfield meteor 350. my wife 71 in june has a 50 cc,our sonn now 49 has 765 triumph street triple. hope everyone all the best for this years tt. remember seeing riders go down bray hill our first time.stood in the school field half way down behind the railings 1975.
John McGuinness is a legend and spoke quite often at BSB - lovely bloke. But Hicky is the new generation and legend in the making. Can only make the classic this year so unlikely to see John racing in 2023. Love the TT love these legends.
Great interview. Relaxed. Informative. Jaw dropping to listen to them talking so casually about the insane things they do. I can’t wait to get back there this year.
Brilliant listen that, hopefully get some more little episodes of different riders as the tt approaches would be good! An 15 quid is a bargain for proper coverage! Il be buying it!
Thank you, this is so awesome to be able 'to be part' of TT all the way from South Africa. ..A Dream to actually be able to watch some day in person...
When I was at school, during church that we had to attend sometimes. Me and my best friend were looking through the hymn book together and came across a hymn by the composer 'John Rutter' We both pissed ourself laughing in church at his name and got in trouble for it. It's good to hear that name again after so many years. "Rutter"..
I love the bantor. Specially since the young champion still looks to get under Johns head... knowing that he could easily end the reign. John is an animal after all. Boy knows it. Big bike Legend.
I love McGuinness, but can’t see him taking the chances required to win, I say that thankfully as would hate to see him badly injured or worse, definitely a top 10 man in the Supersport, top 6 On the bigger class and possibly a podium on a day with high attrition but sadly can’t see anymore victories
$35 in Australia to watch live! Well worth it, much cheaper than $1800 flights to the uk then $500 to the island! Oh wait, that’s what I’ve just paid to get to the final days racing! Fingers crossed the weathers good! Cheers Howard in Albany WA
@@bennettsbikesocial I'd love to go to the tt. I've tried getting tickets for this year but unfortunately I couldn't get any. Such a special event and even more so the riders are outstanding. Great event 👍
Experienced fast road rider & been to the tt numerous times & twice on the bike, rode round a lap at 101mph average (late Sat eve/dry in 2013. Chuffed to bits at that but the thought of these guys adding another 30mph ish to that is utterly amazing, even if on closed roads. Great coverage, thank you
I fear for John. He is 50 now. 10 years more than the upper limit for new entrants. He has nothing to prove and is a hero in my eyes. I think he lost a little bit with the last big smash on the Suzuki, so don’t want to see him come to harm. Please god.
Cool! Shame, Guy Martin don't do it anymore...Must be the most unlucky rider of all time to go so high and never win a race. Can't wait for this Year TT! Good luck guys!!!

Love listening to John McGuiness
Two generations of Aces having a banter, couldn't get any better and 40 min felt like 5....this TT is going to rip! Thank you!
This has to be the best interview ever. Sensible questions and sensible answers from two of the world's best
Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed. Did you see the other recent videos with Hicky, Harrison, McG and Irwin?
Cheers, Michael
