For Me JM is the greatest rider I have ever seen on the Island, watching him is like a masterclass, not just in riding but in being the greatest statesman for the sport. Time for fans, no spoilt kid tantrums from him.
Wonderful vid. ! John... I respect you so much ! you have everything... passion, cleverness, determination, experience, heart, bravery. You are the Motorcycling to the 100%.
IAM from Douglas never mind the gym you are a LEDGEND you have given me an my friends some lovely memories stay safe 🏍️🇮🇲 thanks for the opportunity to watch a master at his work 🇮🇲🇮🇲
What's not to love about this man? Loved every section this video. Those who said he sucks in short track should ride and compete in the TT. Even Valentino Rossi and Loris Cappirosi said these guys who raced the TT are insane and they'll never have the balls to do what TT racers like McPint is doing...and he's being doing this for 20+ years.
McPint is such a great guy..He is so humble I could listen to him all day...I hope he passes Joey's 26 wins and retires,so he can stay around and coach the younger riders...All the best McPint you deserve it!!!!
my brother dragged me from Australia to the isle of man, for my first time, in 2014. i wasn't really keen on going, but i must say that my first time at the tt was a life changing event, almost spiritual. we did the tourist bus tour around most of the circuit, of course the mountain section was closed due to an incident. i didn't know who was who amongst the competitors, but i soon learnt about a bloke called john mcguiness. 2015 i listened to the tt on internet radio - i couldn't believe that my new idol could have won, especially at his age! 2016 we went back to the island for more - we were privileged to meet john. i have never met someone that has so much time to spend with their fans! he's instantly like a friend that you have known for ever and a day. so, 2017, living in australia, can't go every year right? so far away! anyway: 2014 i was there - he did not win 2015 i was not there - he won 2016 i was there - he did not win 2017 he has a new bike - i won't be there, so of course he is going to win :) GO McPint i will be watching the delayed races when the video is available, of course with a few pints of guinness.
Soooooooo lucky!!! Man if I could I'd move to the isle. I'd bring nothing more than my R1 and a tent. Move my sportbike plastics fabrication and paint business with me and live THE life....
What a wonderful person. have so much respect for this guy!! His approach to racing, shows that passion and dedication can be combined with a beer now and then and a "normal" family life. And all of this, even with his success, with absolutely no loss of integrity. All the best for the coming TT races in 2017, teaming up with Mr. Sideburns
What a bloke genuine nice old school guy a proper racer that doesn't stick his nose up when really he could be it yes won the TT so many times 23 I think might be wrong but yeah. Top genuine guy
Yes i agree as long as he does not turn into a Rickey Hatten , the ex Boxer that looks so Bloated now , he reminds me of the people than need a crane to lift them off their bed lol
My hole life has been around riding & racing bikes I'm 63 the bike world has changed dramatically we've seen people come ont go & die . Ride safe 🙏 👌 ❤
John is without doubt a domestic master of motorsport it’s a real shame he never hit it big on the world stage But that doesn’t take away from the fact that he is an absolute legend and when he retires it will be a sad day, cheers John 🍻🇬🇧🏍🏆
2:22 how fucking cool! Imagine walking down the street people idolizing you and putting your paint in building! A living legend ! John McGinnis...: the greatest rider who is alive
Mc Guinness and Dunlop. Two of the best TT riders of all time that probably didn't see a week's worth of gym work between them. They had the skills to pay the bills.
All the Dunlop fans asking him to retire after this season are rather pathetic. The guy deserves to win as many titles as possible even if it means he surpasses the old legend and becomes the new legend.
cagednm69 he already is a new legend and has been a while, but this is one of the few motorsports where modern times haven't degraded the purity of being top dog in history. joey would be no less a legend, mike the bike wasn't forgotten because of joey so if he wants to keep going, so should we. if he wins 3 or 4 more races then he'll the datum of the tt as joey is and mike was. so long as he stops in time when he has to.
Well, that was just delightful. It's really thrilling to be alive in this moment in time. John, I sure do hope you win two this year! That will really be tops. We love you John - making our lives better, when we see your courage and dedication.
Wont come close to the TT dude...that place has over 100yrs of racing pedigree/history!!! Cant be matched. It's not "just" about the track....its the whole lot...the people, the place, the riders etc etc.....best road race on the planet bar none.
Spectators will never be as in most danger as they were in group B rally racing. Those people literally stood in front of an oncoming car going 100+mph.
He's no need to train.. He's just mega talented.. You either got it or you ain't.. A true uk legend. Ride safe... Naaa fuck that ride like you nicked it.
Agreed. I'd like to see him retire soon but realistically it's never going to happen with him being so close to Joey Dunlops 26 wins record. He's only 3 wins behind so one good year and we could be seeing a new king of the mountain. It's a big ask though with the likes of Michael Dunlop, Hutchy and Guy Martin to contend with. I'm really looking forward to this year with all the new bikes. I'm hoping the new Fireblade lives up to the hype. We'll see. The BMW 1000rr is still the bike to beat as things stand. Can't wait!!
Surprised cos I thought he was crap on the short circuits , must have missed the races were he did well , but consistency has kept him going at the tt, there's always been faster men but he's a good bloke who's had some lucky breaks and been with good teams but not on my top ten list ,, but as I always think, if you race the tt and finish last your a winner in my books 📚 just my opinion
"gym, fitness, one pie instead of two . . .
just takes the fun out of my life . . ."
I love this man.
Two of the best times In my life was meeting Joey Dunlop when I was a boy and meeting John Mc Guinness in later years two of the worlds greatest 👍
You are so lucky...
Classy man and a true legend. May God keep him safe.
May God keep him safe ??? Which God are you referring to ?
For Me JM is the greatest rider I have ever seen on the Island, watching him is like a masterclass, not just in riding but in being the greatest statesman for the sport. Time for fans, no spoilt kid tantrums from him.

Wonderful vid. ! John... I respect you so much ! you have everything... passion, cleverness, determination, experience, heart, bravery.

so, 2017, living in australia, can't go every year right? so far away!
anyway:
2014 i was there - he did not win
2015 i was not there - he won
2016 i was there - he did not win
2017 he has a new bike - i won't be there, so of course he is going to win :) GO McPint
i will be watching the delayed races when the video is available, of course with a few pints of guinness.

Im honoured to live on the Island, and for those 2 weeks it is just what I hope heaven is like when the time comes ....
Soooooooo lucky!!! Man if I could I'd move to the isle. I'd bring nothing more than my R1 and a tent. Move my sportbike plastics fabrication and paint business with me and live THE life....

Mc Guinness and Dunlop. Two of the best TT riders of all time that probably didn't see a week's worth of gym work between them. They had the skills to pay the bills.

John, tu es le meilleur
If they turned some Colorado roads into tracks, we would have NEW STANDARD for what is the world's greatest tracks. Tracks in the heavens they are.
Wont come close to the TT dude...that place has over 100yrs of racing pedigree/history!!! Cant be matched. It's not "just" about the track....its the whole lot...the people, the place, the riders etc etc.....best road race on the planet bar none.
@@taff6987 But imagine if the TT evolved in a place like the rockies or the french alps. Just sayin it'd be sweet too. I glamped at TT 16'.
really hope he wins this year and decides to stop , man's a utter legend and a throughly decent bloke, just want a happy ending to the John Mc story.
Spectators will never be as in most danger as they were in group B rally racing. Those people literally stood in front of an oncoming car going 100+mph.

Brave as a lion
Here's hoping John outperforms - on the Norton - at least one of his Honda replacements (he's better than Lee Johnston)
Would love to have a drink with JM..
Sir John Mcguinness! Come on people let's get this guy a knighthood already. Who's with me?
Surprised cos I thought he was crap on the short circuits , must have missed the races were he did well , but consistency has kept him going at the tt, there's always been faster men but he's a good bloke who's had some lucky breaks and been with good teams but not on my top ten list ,, but as I always think, if you race the tt and finish last your a winner in my books 📚 just my opinion
