The flowing hand is a universal gesture that every rider, no matter what language you speak, understands and feels when you get it just right.
Good listening to Amy and Victoria feedback from their track day. Four amazing people, great watch.
Get John and Peter on a toboggan with Amy. That would be brilliant. Something to do in the winter. The cresta run maybe.
I did suggest that Peter on a sled or John in the velodrome would be a good follow-up video!
Cheers, Michael
@@bennettsbikesocial Go for it, would be a great watch.
@@bennettsbikesocial Michael, perhaps a lap at Silverstone would be kinder given the flatness of it? The Park circuits can be tough for cycling; Brands, Oulton, Cadwell, Donington...
Great program!
Unless you’ve done a track day it’s hard to get across how intimidating they could feel but how much fun they can be
Congratulations to the two ladies for giving it a go
John and Peter are not just TT Legends but the calm and friendly guys that you see. Great to see our Olympic heroes showing their sporting character and determination to make progress and have fun.
Breathe,
Relax, and
Look ahead is great advice for any rider; sled, cycle or Moto.
Well done Bennetts, Triumph and Alpinestars.
Perhaps a lap with Victoria and Amy on bicycles next, Lads..
Wow, what an amazing opportunity for the two women to have one on one instruction with McGuinness and Hickman. I'm definitely envious.
If I lived in the UK I'd be signing up for a Bennetts track day for sure just to have the chance to be in the same paddock and on the same track as those two legends!
John comes to all our track days and Pete’s been to two this year. They’ll happily ride with anyone in any group if asked. Shame you’re not over here!
This is some top draw content! Really enjoyed it. Different, polished, professional and big names everywhere!!
Thanks 👍🏻
Very kind of you to take the time to say so, thank you.
Michael 👍🏻
😊😅
Great video. Really enjoyed their enjoyment of it. As someone who still feels nervous on the road, I really resonated with their progression throughout the day - from Amy beginning to enjoy the flow, to Victoria's reminder to breathe - those are the moments I enjoy most on the bike. Am almost tempted to try a track day myself!
What a great video! I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing!
Thank you! By receiving comments like this, it means we’re more likely to be able to make a whole series!
Cheers, Michael
Looking forward to my first track day next spring and I will be fortunate enough to have my son (ex BSB racer and his mate current MotoGP paddock to instruct me!
Going to be special day also a Donnington 👍
Great to watch such enjoyment and progress on their track day 👍
Well done Michael 👍 Good to see John and Peter . Piece of cake for champions Victoria and Amy 🏁 Loving Triumph and Alpinestar stepping up👍❤
Thanks Earle, glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
Now I feel like going for a track day... The noise, the enthusiasm, the smell of exhaust, the high pitch of inline 4s screaming and the rumble of the V-twins and V-4s, all coming back from the depths of my memory and calling to me... Why did you have to come up with this video right before the winter?
Ha, bad timing! Hopefully we’ll have the 2023 dates to announce during Motorcycle Live (towards the end of November).
Hey, you forgot to mention the triples! 🙂
@@MadChalet Sorry! Consider them added now! And the thumpers too! :D
Looking forward to seeing Amy and Vic at the TT/MGP!
Excelente como siempre. Abrazo grande desde Uruguay.
Muchas gracias!
If John McG & Peter Hickman teaching you are going to listen - great their pupils can follow them! As unfortunately a completely not athletic person it's fascinating to learn how these two Olympians approach things - god questions from Mr Mann
It was fascinating to witness their approach and application to the guidance they were receiving. Thanks for your comment 👍🏻
Very well done girls, you were in good hands with John and Peter. The Triumphs look amazing.
It was great to see how involved they both were, really keen to improve.
Those Triumphs look awesome. Would love to experience what Victoria and Amy did, that's a bucket list moment right there.
I spy Thrudark, nice choice Victoria ;D Great to see Bennetts promoting sporting legends like this. I'm yet to do a track day on a bike, I don't really have the right bike for it, but this has made me really want to come and have a go.
Excellent 👍
Can we have one of these days at knockhill please 🙏 🏴
Great video, with two amazing ladies. Thank you
Thanks Simon. We certainly enjoyed making it.
Nice one. Cheers, Michael
I enjoyed this and the ladies are right, your first track day only gives you a taste for more!
Cheers! Glad you liked it.
beautiful bike...
To get to the very top in any sport you initially have to have the right natural ability. If you don't have that start point I reckon no amount of training will get you to the top. But if you are good then there is room to improve. Then it is a mind game and dedication to that cause. Many top sports people can walk into a totally different sport and do way better than average. Some are so good at multiple disciplines they have to pick one to focus on. I am a firm believer in born abilities. Great artists, musicians and athletes etc. Then as they progress instruction from those ahead of you or that bit better helps speed that progression. The rest of us just look on and wonder why we missed out.
Exactly the same as I have thought for years.
You never miss out if you take a chance.
Nice vid, well done girls
I would like to hear the Triumph's perspective. Ferocious feathers in leathers throttled me!
Nice lasses did a great job considering they were lightweights perched up on those leviathans of nearly 180 horses. Obvs the tutorage was sublime.
awsomee
Cool video but really would have enjoyed seeing more of them actually on track.
Thanks, and fair point. Maybe a comparison of each riding a section of track from an early session then a late one would have worked.
@@bennettsbikesocial Absolutely would work without the faff of data logging.. Quite easy too with some Ram mounts and action cameras.. Next time.
Some serious cameras involved in this flawless presentation.
Thanks very much. Two talented cameramen and two GoPros!

@@bennettsbikesocial Think I need to upgrade my GoPro model if your getting results like this.
@@forddriver8827 2 x GoPro 7 Black is all we used in this shoot!
Lucky girls ❤I would like to get an experience of that as well. 😢
Enjoyed the video a fair bit but some feedback: I'm not a Brit so I had no idea who these ladies were bc they didn't get an introduction (and I'd bet many Brits don't know who they are either). Also the montages with the loud electronic music could be scrapped. Too much work in editing.
@beanwithbacon, in the UK if you win a gold medal it invokes a demi god status that can get you through the rest of your life so to the majority of non biking brits the girls need no introduction but most wouldnt know who the lads are despite being gods in the motorcycle world.
Michael does credit everyone in the description so its easy to search each one, it would add 20 mins if he explained who they all are.
Agreed on the the music is too loud.
Ride safe and ride free wherever you are.
@@Phuc_Yhou Thanks for the explanation and interesting insight into UK culture. I looked the girls up later and it's amazing what they accomplished. Glad they had fun on track with the other two legends.
Thanks both - good to have a bit of feedback
@@bennettsbikesocial Hope I didn't come across like a douche, you guys make tons of great content.
well done Girls!
Amy is an awesome individual I reckon she could multisport and be successful
I had the pleasure of meeting Amy about 10 years ago and tried getting her into motorcycling, she wasn't interested, I guess the timing wasn't right.
Are we allowed to observe “posh totty” any more?
Looks like an mv Augusta
the new ton up girls
I'm sure it's good advice, and it's easy for Hicky to say relax and ride the bike ! He's so laid back he's usually almost horizontal !
The bikes looked good and the girls looked better.
they wont appreciate that....its 2022 remember..
@@dickweeeeeeeeeed Sorry my eyes are from 53.
170 Hp is a hella lot of power for.learners
I'd drag my spuds through a mile of broken glass for a 1 to 1 days tuition with hicky or mcguiness
If you're a BikeSocial member then you can access our track days where 1-2-1 tuition with these guys is free!
@ryan cox If you did that you wouldn't be able to ride the bike 😂😂😂
Would have liked to see the reverse: pro motorcycle riders trying out the skeleton and bicycles. I would suggest the gap is not as large
That would have been hilarious!
Not sure about that, bicycles yes but sliding down an icy track on a tea tray for me is more scary than going for the lap record at brands.
What we need is a woman’s race league that would be so awesome and something I would support 100%
out of everyone you could do this with, Olympians is probably the easiest and best, they are use to taking info/direction and applying it. also amy is hot
Oh what a lovely pair. Nice that you let the girls ride them. 👍🇨🇦🤪
“Brilliant”
Those ladies are badass! Well done. That Triumph is growing on me, but I still feel like Triumph is selling people a bike with the fairings missing. It's styling that's stuck between two worlds without having a foot planted firmly in either one. The sport bike is truly dead when companies are purposely selling them without fairings.
lovely girls, fast learners
"John said I was really stiff"
I bet he was at times too 🤣
I was wondering if anyone was gonna do this type of comment. Everyone wanted to, just not many dared! 😅
@@Norton1531 haha 😂😂
What an absolutely hilarious comment, not! Motorcyclists as a community are constantly under attack from not only the government and the media, but also the judiciary. We need as many people to take up the riding of motorcycling as possible. There is an increasing number of women taking to two wheels, imagine how they would feel reading your comment, better still imagine if it was your wife, sister or daughter thinking about taking their test.and they were to read what you had written. Bennetts Bike Social covers some very serious topics, (the sale of illegal safety equipment, bikers' rights and proper independent tests), your comment only serves to reinforce the popular stereotype of bikers and it belongs in the 1980s. Ride safe!
@@joeroberts5654 I like to think that most bikers are a very laid-back bunch that take life a lot less seriously than you do. Jeez, chill out. It was a joke.
@@joeroberts5654 Lol bore off you simp 😂
Ever heard of a joke? I doubt many women will get as offended as you did over the comment and if they did then maybe take up a more female orientated sport, take up a male dominated sport and expect a bit of banter,
safe riding!
Giving complete novices 180hp bikes seems like overkill. They'd have gotten the same times out of ninja 400s with less initimidation. But, it's all an ad for Triumph, so I get it.
Gd on u ladies.
P H An J M LEGENDS
they looked so uncomfortable and awkward
Then they got on the bikes.
1200
Beginners
👍
Sure, why not?
🤷♂️
I get your point and while Amy & Victoria are track novices, they not new to riding. The Speed Triple RR is full of electronic rider aids and we all agreed was ideal for the job. Peter suggested ’Rain’ mode which limits power too.
You spend that much money in a beautiful bike and then you strap that road sigh they call license plate in Europe on the back. Is even bigger than the one the car uses.
Why is she shouting?
Because she's excited after an exciting day for her, maybe?
so you stick two novices on superbikes, great move guys
Too much chat bored 😴😴😴
These are elite athletes giving their take on motorcycle instructions. Very interesting to hear how their brain works.
Agreed. Not watched a BBS video for ages and I see they still don't take kindly to any form of criticism. Still very chippy bunch. Especially MrHelmet Hair himself.
Keep them in the kitchen ffs!
