- I decided to test out the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and the new BRAW for a fashion cover shoot. This was shot in 4K 50P at 12:1

I am so very impressed by this camera. If you know how to colour grade this is a pocket RED Digital Cinema Camera. The RAW from this camera is so gradable and easily manipulated to dial in your settings and get whatever desired look. Purchasing a plugin I was able to edit the BRAW natively in Premiere at full resolution.
I graded this project in Premiere by applying my custom LUT and dialing in the correct settings by tweaking the RAW file. Find my LUT here: sellfy.com/editshed

First of all, GREAT FREAKING WORK on the final product. Secondly, I just recently got my BMPCC4k and since it didn't fit on my Ronin M, I reverted to my Flycam and this video just made me feel that much better about my decision

Bro which lut did you use for this? I bought your premium lut pack yesterday. Also does the color space have to be change to rec 709 on the BRAW color space menu?

I stopped the aperture down for the push in and out and shot really wide and the close ups were just staying the same distance from the model ☺️

Sam, as someone with extensive RED and Canon experience, how do you find the P4K? Would you use the P4k as an A cam for a wedding?
It's amazing! I'm picking one up as a B-Cam and think it'll easily compliment my Gemini (most people won't tell the difference). Only thing is you just need to put a bit of post work into the image - I don't think it'll ever be as nice straight out of the camera as the red or canon (need to do quite a bit of tweaking and grading)
@@samfregonese Thank you, Sam! Love your work, too. One other thing: some time ago, you bought a Raven, and then sold it to go to the 1DX II and 1DC. What made you switch back to Red, despite the much heavier weight, long startup time etc? I mean, a Gemini is not an inexpensive exercise, either.
@@raksh9 RED really have their post production workflow and codecs down. As great as the 1DX was, the 4K file size and time it took to transcode to a workable file was awful. I did like the XT3 in that sense but you just can't beat that RED dynamic range

If you shot in 50 not all shots were slowed down so to stop the weird shutter speed 180. You must have left at 24? Whenever you don’t plan on slowing down or ?

I shot 50/24 in camera with 180 degree shutter. The footage comes out in slow motion as it’s conformed in camera ☺️
@@samfregonese oh so all shots were slow motion. cool looks good i would've thought you graded in davinci most footages looks that good comes from davinci . best i've seen from adobe .
