I’m about to do this on a cheap 335 copy I picked up. Any tech tips? Did you have to ream the volume and tone pot holes? Did you use string to fish the components out and in? Did you keep the hookup wire and replace the components or did you make an entire new harness? Cheers!
I think i opened the pot holes ever so slightly. With a drill bit by hand I removed the entire harness and used surgical tubing to fish it all back in! Good luck!
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 Thx! I hear it can be a pain to do and this is my first swap on a 335. I will need all the luck I can get. That Burny looks and sounds awesome and beautiful playing as always👌
Nik I would suggest getting an sm57 remove the transformer, and then some sort of room mic, mute the audio track on the phone video put them together, it'll really up the video game. At first I didn't want to do it either, felt like a lot of extra work, but it's actually super easy, I'll never do a regular phone video again.
Thanks man! I used to do all of that. Now i just do these for fun. It got to be too much. But i appreciate the helpful insight, and i will try your recommendations
What really pisses you off is when you do all that and then realize it sounds pretty good and captures the room better in a way with a newer phone mic 😂. They are getting pretty damn good these days.
That axe sounds beautiful, love the creamy honk. What are your frets of choice these days Nik? I used to need super high, but now I'm going with Jescar 47103, I find 55s just leave my fingers floating without improving bending all that much. Also tried 51100 which is an amazing intermediate height, but just a tad narrow. But eh, maybe I should go back to super high... lol
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 SICK. Thanks! I’ll check em out. What’s your verb of choice ex. long tank 2 spring medium decay... ... Ps. Stoked you kept the show rocking. Thanks for ur time.
I like to keep a fuzz inline quite a bit. Im all over the volume knob. The fuzz takes care of the clarity for me. My V is 50s. Its still new. I still want to experiment
Dude he bought it already done. Burnys are awesome and this one has a beautiful refin. No issues if no one gets scammed. He bought this full disclosure for a good price. Are you a Gibson lawyer?
Its always a good time when you upload Nik. Much love from New Mexico hope all is well.
Thank you my friend!
Great playing man!

Thanks for another great video
Thank you!
I can smell the beer and feel the sawdust on the floor. That's what she's all about!
Looks like you got yourself anotber winner. First rate!!!
Diet coke!
I have a Greco les paul that is every bit as good as any gibson. Long neck tenon, nitro finish, and the serial number is even like an old burst.
They are real great!

I had some 51/100. Was going to go with that. 57/110 on gibson just feel to wide to me
Wow your playing is intense
Saweet!
Hey Nik, what was the spring reverb tank you had recommend? I remember you talking about it but I can’t find the vid.
Thanks.

Modern wiring, Reason for that,??

Thanx
Do you like the 50’s wiring? Tell me the pros and cons?
I did it on my lp for the first time, 3 weeks ago, im not sure yet if i like it, it`s different. Using Montys Paf and wiring.
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 I’m about to have a guy convert my Les Paul to 50s wiring in a week or two. If I remember I’ll let you know

Nik, what other UA-cam channels do you operate?
Never mind, Nik. I just got to the part of the video where you answer that question. Stay well.
Thank you for the support! Be safe!
LOL here we go again
Sup?
None of you are disgusted by this fraud???
Disgusting! It’s a fake!
Who’d do that...
The name makes it play better?
You’re not fooling yourself .
Its a Burny. Lawsuit era. Said it in the beginning. No fraud here. I bought it already refinished. Its an affordable guitar to mod and have fun with.
