  • Yesterday Activision sent a cease & desist letter to X Labs, forcing their hand and causing them to shut down all operations permanently.
This is a major issue not just from a Call of Duty community perspective but in a major blow to video game preservation and overall putting players at risk on unsafe servers that Activision has abandoned for years!

I know it won't work, they won't care, but maybe the community should make a petition, cause cod is still selling these games without online keys on steam, I have world at war and without plutonium, it would be impossible to play, cause they sold me a faulty copy without the multiplayer key.

activision killed cod. epic killed unreal tournament. The idea is to remove from the shelves all the games that do not have battle pass or microtransactions. Get it? Good.

I just cannot stand Activision. It is just the very definition of greed over gameply or community. You are hard pressed to find anyone who says complimentary things about Activision and CoD now. My gaming buddies joke daily about the MW2 bugs and just Activisions inability to get their game working and playing well. They continue to stick to their 'pay to win' mentality too. Release a new gun you have to buy, make it the meta for weeks, then when everyone has bought it, nerf it to hell. I play MW2 but have refused to spend a single $ in their item shop or buy a battle pass.
Epic, on the other hand, whether you think Fortnite is for 8 year olds or not, is running an Unreal engine that is not needed but they know its the next thing. They have a community of creators who will get rewarded for their creations. Fewer bugs (nothing is perfect), hardly any crashes and no pay to win aspects at all. I'm not an Epic fanatic at all, but they are far, far, far, far better than Activision.
