How common are the free ATMs in UK? Will it be difficult finding one? And can we do POS transactions with forex card, if yes, will there be a conversion fee?
Hi, cash free ATMs are very common in UK. Just check before u withdraw any cash. POS transactions are on actual purchase value, no conversion if u have pound loaded.

All forex cards work here in the UK. For ATMs use cash free atm else u will be charged txn fee

@@aravind9136 u can use it..if it is International, but be aware that u will be charged foreign currency conversion fee and other charges. You can check with ur local India branch on the charges.

You can’t transfer money from Forex directly. You can use Skrill or Remitly or money transfer app and transfer to India account. Or use cash free atm withdraw the cash and deposit in UK account.

Hi Raavi, welcome to London. I suggest you keep both Cash and more in Card. Forex ICICI works in most of the POS machines. Cash you can use for paying cab and small grocery purchases. Cards are accepted everywhere. Forex card works in most places except few stores.

Hi, no u can’t transfer from Forex to UK account. U need to use Remitly or Skrill and can transfer money to India..

Did u check if it was free cash atm. Looks like u are charged £3/transaction and it happens if the ATM is not free cash. Withdrawal limits are $1000 for Axis Forex card. So I think withdrawal limit mayn’t be a problem. It is worth to call customer care and u can check about the fee charged..HDFC I see daily limit as £4k.

Hi, if you withdraw in GBP, please select without conversion. Then no fee will be charged.

Forex card you can get from Axis bank, ICICI etc.
Per day excluding stay if you eat out, u can incur 20-40£ each day, so you can load as per that. POS txns you can use forex, only be careful while using ATM and go only for cash free ATM. Not sure if any app to locate. But you can see there are many cash free atms & its written in the front in major cities or town centres.

@@arunj6564 I suggest you can go for ICICI bank as most of us had Axis bank and we didn’t get good support and card didn’t work on some of the POS machines as well here.

Thanks for Subscribing to my Channel. Forex is like ur debit card, I don’t think there will be any limit to carry in your Forex card. There could be a limit to carry cash on hand but not on card.

Yes almost all Forex card work in UK stores, except couple of them. Tips to withdraw cash follow my video as u could be charged a conversion fee if u don’t carefully observe the ATM screen..also go for only cash free atms as mentioned in my video

Yes for most of the banks will have a limit set, that is to avoid fraud happening. You can check with ur bank on the limit for ur acc.

Hi, on the ATM’s u will see option of which currency u need, so please check and withdraw. Please ensure you don’t click on option if they ask any currency conversion.

Yes u can use card in Buses & Tubes... But only tap allowed. So, please make sure ur card has RFID enabled. Train booking as well online card u can use.

As I am based out of UK.. I know how the ATM works here.. When I was in Denmark, I remember seeing options to withdraw in Euro or Danish Krona, which is free as all Europe currencies are valid anywhere in Europe. Just be cautious to not choose any conversion to USD if u see in Finland. Finland is Euro so shd be straight forward. Look out for Cash free ATMs if ur using foreign cards here.
