Thanks for explaining the rig/setup and actually showing it. So many other shows just gloss over the actual details so fast without really explaining anything beneficial to the viewers who are trying to learn. Capt. George! Great Season so far. You know what would be great? If you did a Special Season in Puerto Rico! There's everything you can ask for! Monster Snook, Tarpon, Sailfish, Swordfish, Mahi any type of Pelagic! Tight Lines!
You need to come to Lewes Delaware middle-end of May to early June and catch these giant black drum we get here. World record was caught here and I caught a 60 lber last year. Biggest caught last year was like 79 lbs

You can absolutely get keeper reds shallower than that during fall/winter. For gags, they'll be in as shallow as 10 ft during the colder months. That said, a long run offshore isn't ever really gonna hurt your chances
@@DiabetoDan Oh yeah, I agree with the fall and winter. I know plenty of people who catch keeper gags out of Crystal River, in 10-15 ft of water. They catch them on the rocks and small ledges, during the fall and winter months..

Paying for a whole day of shorts is BS , lets make a move cap . Then we catch a keeper or two to save the day .. Old scumbag move by scumbag charter captains . They know they can hook you up , but give you the bare minimum to just keep you from bitching .
I have to disagree because commercial fishing is whats depleting the stock and recreational fishermen are the ones getting punished and regulated for it. Unfair .
Why in Gods name do fishermen still grab fish by the gills and "release" them for the development of the species. PLEASE buy fishgrips or a hook remover. You are almost guaranteeing these fish will die. Would you like someone with their fingers in your lungs??

Common to catch Black drum in 25-35lb range in Tampa area off bridges...we consider them a junk fish. Catch and release for fun.
