  • With the wind blowing 20 to 30 mph this week, there was no chance of going offshore, Gulf or Atlantic. Most guys around the state didn't even want to fish inshore due to the wind. "What to do?" thought Captain George Gozdz. With time running out to film a show George contacted nearby Southeast Forum member Adam White (mr.redfish79) about fishing Ft. Pierce. It was close by, and even if the wind proved too much, there would be other days to fish.

Yes. These guys are not kidding!. I have done this myself many times. When he talks about the "boils" in the beginning of the video, I took my daughter there when she was 10 year old, and she broke the world junior record 3 times for girls snook, in one day. We recorded and 18 pounder fishing on live thredfin herring just like they say. I also have caught monster jack cravalle on fly there and tarpon on fly, plus kingfish. Have had encounters with 14 foot plus hammerhead shark while tarpon fishing. -DS cowboy.

Im new to Florida and fishing, but im curious why you were drifting? With a 4 oz weight it must have stayed put pretty well. Is it just to cover more area when casting? Why not anchor up and cast where you want it?

that 4 oz weight won't hold shit to the bottom of any inlet down here. the current is ridiculous
