The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.
Great video... watching this today with the wife. We booked a room and planned a weekend in Yankee Town to troll for grouper early November!!! We did catch a 29" on a plug this weekend.
We dive with our Hookahs spearfishing during the summer and go back to the same spots trolling and bottom fishing during the winter. I love living in Florida
Well, went to that area found a few hard bottoms, first time trolling rapala 30s struggled to dial In and find good bottom simultaneously. Moved to other spots no luck either.
Thank you for this episode! What boat is that? You didn’t take a bass boat out there did you? I am looking for a versatile boat I can fish bays, bass fish and go out to that 15 mile mark. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you
Hey guys, Im heading to Naples, Sanibel Isand, Key west on a backpack fishing trip. Any suggestions on where to fish snook, redfish, tarpon on shore. I've been trying to find forums and cant get any luck. Im going in the dead summer in July. Gonna be tuff fishing but worth it. Thanks!
I used to live over there as a kid in Dunnellon haven't been over there in years going on vacation June5th any advice locations I should try. Thanks in advance
I booked a trip up to Yankee town just because of this video... We are scheduled to leave this Friday pulling the boat up and staying exactly where you guys stayed. Can you give me a general area where to go trolling for these Grouper? I only see one reef near by that we will try but any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
I found tons of holes and limestone... got zero trolling, and zero bottom fishing. It was a weird weekend but we still got out and had fun. No worries we'll try again next Nov/Dec again
Been binge watching and I need to do some inshore and off shore fishing on my next trip south. Can someone dial me in on what I'll need for licensing as a Canadian? And, what should I be targeting in early March?
Don't waste your time in FL go to Costa Rica. Central America, or Bahamas. In FL you will spend $3000 per good fish in CR you will spend $100 per GREAT fish caught. CR Panama you easily catch 2 marlin and 5 sailfish on a $500 day charter In FL you will spend $4000 per Tarpon or $9000 per sail fish on multi days. I see guys spend $800 bucks on a 2 yt snapper day/
Mandy Man Thanks to Captain Gozdz smooth voice soundhound or shazam wont pick it up, lol. But I dont mind going through the bands catalog, they are quite good. But thanks for the suggestion anyways Mandy Man.
Mandy Man All of our background music is by Fresh Catch. We replied above and answered immediately. It also says it in the credit of every show. Thanks for watching ;-)
+Turnit Up It usually means it's either custom-scored or a supervisor or editor added it after the VO and other production work was done. Music comes last. Some producers have no idea where the music came from!
Nah, this is a florida band, i looked into them awesome music, and u cant deny production for reel time is awesome. They chose this band specifically. Fresh catch is an awesome band.
People are quick to jump on band wagon about size and limits to bad their not as on in about ships from other foreign countries who don't recognize limites.you should see what goes institute pack piers.
I love your show. But trolling is soooooo boring. Don't care if it's for big game. I know people gonna hate. But for bottom fish like this why troll? Best part is feeling the initial bite and strike.
Great fishing, great videos, great tips, but one thing I can´t stand is that you guys don´t release the fish. What is the need for all that fish in the tank? It is kind of shameful. Thumbs down for that.
Saulo Sousa We're sorry you feel this way. The way we see it- there's nothing wrong with keeping a legal limit of fish. The grouper population is strong by evidence of us limiting out in a couple hours. We eat what we keep.
+ReelTimeFS you have fished resposnibly using a great technique for catching a demersal species. there's no excessive harvest the way your vid showed. best of luck for the new year.

Waited so long for this season!

Your back at last you are the best fishing channel on youtube! Nice groupers by the way.
That was a great video, fun to watch and good head's up for Florida's West Coast fishing.
Well, went to that area found a few hard bottoms, first time trolling rapala 30s struggled to dial In and find good bottom simultaneously. Moved to other spots no luck either.
Cool video!
Thanks!
Another great video. Keep up the good work!
Reel time is back, yeah baby. My dream is to go trolley for grouper
Got my 1st gag grouper today in Florida there out of season had to toss it back
Hey Great video!
What size or model Yozuri body bait were you using?
Great video! Can I ask what rod you use for Gag trolling?
I want to go fishing with this guy he catches every thing👍🏻👍🏻
Excelentes videos..gracias
I'm addicted to this now. Caught 4 keepers last week trolling up to 30". Now every other fish is boring compared to a gag striking these plugs.
What rods are you using for trolling these large divers?
Gotta check out Yankeetown, soon enough.
Kayak Frank think we can troll fast enough in the Hobies to catch one of these grouper?
Great catch captain. if i may ask, what was your speed and how long you letting the line go?
Thank you for this episode! What boat is that? You didn’t take a bass boat out there did you? I am looking for a versatile boat I can fish bays, bass fish and go out to that 15 mile mark. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you
Thanks for watching! That was a Triton bay boat.
Yankeetown is the name of every town from Maryland north

Nice catch man wish you get blue fun tona
red and white rattle trap one half ounce grouper like it makes lots of noise
What are the specifications on the the gear you were using

I used to live over there as a kid in Dunnellon haven't been over there in years going on vacation June5th any advice locations I should try. Thanks in advance
Unfortunately we haven't been there in a few years either...good luck!

It's a late response but there is tons of the limestone rock out there like they are fishing. You just have to find your own honey holes.

+David35445 you can buy a non-resident license at walmart

Guest host looks like Michael Cuddyer on the mets.
What should the drag be set at when you’re trolling? You don’t want it locked down like when you’re bottom fishing while anchored right?
No not locked down but you do still need to pull them from the structure. Too light and they will get right back in the ledge. It’s a violent bite
@@marker_eight Awesome! Thanks for the response! I am going to try trolling on my Sea-Doo Fish Pro . See if I can pull up some dinner next weekend!
Season for gags is June 1-dec 31 where we are. Check FWC for regulations
@@marker_eight Yup, same here. I'm in Tampa, that's why I'm waiting until next weekend.

Jose Rosas Fresh Catch provides all the music for RTFS.
Mandy Man Thanks to Captain Gozdz smooth voice soundhound or shazam wont pick it up, lol. But I dont mind going through the bands catalog, they are quite good. But thanks for the suggestion anyways Mandy Man.

They just are hiding coordinates with that rag on the corner of screen :(. But I would probably do the same....
I think you were foul hooking them because they turn around to go to there hole.

Dragging snag hooks. Sad
Not at all. These fish are 100% not being snagged
I love your show. But trolling is soooooo boring. Don't care if it's for big game. I know people gonna hate. But for bottom fish like this why troll? Best part is feeling the initial bite and strike.
Alex Cesarz ya brother boring until you connect, sometimes the presentation from the plugs are better than live bait. Depends on the time of year.
NOPE, The fishing outta Key Biscayne is 10 times better even the grouper. If in that area Tampa is much better -- YTown is a waste of time.
gag
Pour little guys
I like this show but they eat the fish and I feel sad for the fish
Boii it's a fish. What are you a vegetarian don't like killing animals for food.
As long as u do it correctly
Great fishing, great videos, great tips, but one thing I can´t stand is that you guys don´t release the fish. What is the need for all that fish in the tank? It is kind of shameful. Thumbs down for that.

You must be a vegetarian

Do you know what the fish limit is in that aria?
some people fish for food. not just sport.
