all this time trying to find a fix for my zephyrus g16 overheating problem and this G Helper really changed my laptop completely. computer was freezing and no matter what adjustment i did to armourycrate, it would still crash due to cpu overheating. I've been playing diablo 4 for over an hour now and the temps are still in the 70s whereas before I used G-Helper, it would crash after about 30 mins. crazy how this program literally just fixed a problem i had for weeks now.
@@denvernaicker8250 I love my G14 all I did was turn off the cpu turbo mode and I have no issues with over heating now. It’s my first ever ASUS laptop. It’s a 14 inch laptop so not much room for cooling so it’s expected to get hot. But I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something smaller

Great video! I noticed when you were showing the undervolting results your idle CPU temp was 42C which is excellent! I was debating getting this laptop due to the higher idle temps but I think I will give it a shot now after watching those temps go way down. Thanks and thumbs up!
This is kinda still buggy on my Flow x13 actually. When I turned on turbo mode and closed it the app kinda crashed, the screen started flickering, the app didn't want to open, kept freezing and closing a few times. Also the fan speed percentages seem odd, they are at like 50% when the pc is pretty much silent and I can barely hear anything when I get my ear close - but this one maybe I'm just weird here. Anyways the weirdest thing is definitely the fact that pressing the Armoury Crate button I get a popup that Armoury Crate needs to be installed AND also g-helper pops up, the key does both so that's kinda odd and useless to have the key for g-helper when it also opens non installed Armoury Crate at the same time which I need to close manually. Thanks for sharing though, definitely a cool app that doesn't come with tons of useless things that Armoury Crate has.
I forgot to mention this in the video, to remove the Armoury Crate warning, navigate to C:\Windows\System32\ASUSACCI Then rename the ArmouryCrateKeyControl.exe to ArmouryCrateKeyControl.exe.old Then reboot and good to go.

Temp capped to 85 (it gets otherwise to often to close to the max 89 degree max limit on full load). Previously in stress stess test it ramped up to 89° (max for 3d processors) with ~4.4ghz all cores. Now it ramps up to 4.6 (~4.8ghz in turbo mode with everything cranked up to the max) undervolted while staying at 85 (or not even getting above 80). And i just run with -15. Probably more to go but overall this is amazing. Really an oversight from asus to not include those functions in their amoury crate.
Dumb question: is G-Helper more lightweight than Armoury Crate? It wasn't clear from the video. I'm hoping to have fewer processes and less CPU overhead by using it.

On G15 2022 model, uninstall AC will stuck you with poor performance coz core service of AC unlock full wattage power, so Ghelper isn't solution for every asus laptop... Except if you can maybe run the AC service on the side of it
While AC uninstalled I still have ACCIMonitor.exe, AmouryCrateControlInterface.exe and ArmouryCrateKeyControl.exe running in the background. Are some of those what you talking about...full wattage power?

Fck yeah man, this is AWESOME!!!! ASUS ROG G18 4080 version. This thing took about 30min to install everything from my old PC after windows installed of course. With AC it was fast,but opening up certain display apps like Nivida control panel wasn't very snappy. Uninstalled Armoury Crate and instantly this thing is freaking faster and the actual AC settings actually worked. So yes works on 2023 ASUS G18s

I just picked up an Asus Strix Flare RGB keyboard-it is the only Asus device used on my self built gaming PC. I need a software to set up the keyboard's RGB lighting, but do not want to install Armoury Crate as I have read that it is a massive resource hog. Will this app allow me to control the Strix Flare keyboard? I think I saw somewhere online that the keyboard is not supported.
2023 4070 Rog Flow x16, it runs a lot cooler and quieter than with Armoury Crate, but the screen color is messed up. 0 screen brightness is now too bright. Color all wrong. Can't fix it in windows color management. Big problem.

Look up armoury crate uninstaller. It removes it and all of its services, also when booting up your latop press f2 orr DEL to go into the BIOS and go to advanced and untick the ArmouryCrate option, also when using GHelper you can also turn off Armoury Crate services that still might be on your laptop but they should be gone after all that.

There is no "moment of installation" the program has no installation package, it is a matter of just running the executable. I didn't see the .net framework prompt probably because I already had it installed. Good to know that is a scenario someone might run into though.
you can use nvidia performance HUD built in nvidia experience to do that if u want but be sure to disable the auto tuning it does to your game settings.
Power plan on a laptop is useless really. Just stick to balanced and control the wattage through GHelper. For instance I have my i7 at 12-15W on silent, 25-30W on balanced and 35W on Turbo. If you do that then tick the Apply custom power profile, its the same. I have the turboing at Off, Enabled and aggressive on for each propfile respictively. Trust me its better than messing with windows power plans.
balanced with turboing enabled at 25watts for me is great and never goes over 75c. i can then switch to turbo if i really want my PC to do something powerful but itll go to 90c sometimes. dont do that too often. you can also have a custom GPU overclock for each profile too. ditch the windows power plan, this is much more powerful and useful.
dynamic boost isnt working for me on my G18 (2024) 14900hx 4080, i get 1000k less on time spy because the gpu is only using 150w but my temps on cpu and gpu are 15c cooler than using armory create. I just dont understand why my cpu temps are so much higher on armory create though even with PL1 and PL2 turned down to 50w im hitting 75c in games. Not sure if Asus is fine tuning those power sliders. Ghelper is wayyyyyy fore fine tuned for power on the cpu but opposite for the gpu. So pick your poison i guess. armory create will give you full power but lots and lots of heat! Ghelper just needs an update i think to fix dynamic boost so i can get my full 175w to the gpu and ill go back to it, until then im stuck with roasting armory create

Depends on what laptop and what year it's from.
Depends on your CPU. Some CPUs don’t support undervolting.
Is CPU undervolting a g-helper exclusive feature?
I don't think Armoury crate lets you do that, but there are other applications to facilitate that, but G-Helper makes it the easiest in my opinion.
