Beretta, that was me who asked the series 70 pistol question thank you for mentioning that. I am sure there are plenty of nice Ser80 pistols out there. But for my $$ I will stick with 70. Another fine video. You have helped me make up my mind about which .45 I will purchase between the custom makers and Standard Manufacturing. It will be S M. Semper Fi Marine.

Great video on top shelf quality value from a highly underrated manufacturer for sure. I have 3 of their 1911s and they are excellent. I just bought a nickel finished one. The trigger does have a very subtle and a little strange hitch in it. The other two are flawless!

Just bought the royal blue SM 1911 from Battle Hawk Armoury for $1005.99. Forged frame, front strap checkering and no mim for $1005 is a steal.

I got my colt i ordered over the HDX from standard.I got the colt competition series in seires 70 blued. Its well built. Just a tad bit of play in the slide. Grip safety needs spring adjusted,it is a comopetition gun. So that may be the way they are supposed to be. I will bend a leaf on sear spring later on The slide to frame fit is nice. Its even blended. The barrel lockup is bad ass i removed the recoil spring to check it. Its definitely national match fit. I swear to god the trigger pull is three pounds or less maybe. Its a hair trigger. I chose this over the HDX merely based on the fact i got it at 850.00 at buds. I only work part time so you got to pull the trigger when you got the money or it gets sucked up. I havent shot it yet. But seeing how good the barrel is fit i know its gonna be accurate. VERY nicely blued. Ill start saving now for the HDX. I want one of those as well. In my opinion CZ owning COLT is not a bad thing. I looked at one of these 7 years ago in the competition series it wasnt as nice. Im gonna shoot in my yard today maybe,😂 im out in the county maybe just a magazine. But i cant wait to get it to the range. This is the nicest barrel fit on any 1911 i have had to date. My custom shop series 70 they came out with thats in no way custom, had a g.i. fit barrel. Im gonna try to hit the 6 inch plate at 100 yards after i get used to it. just to see. And adjust the sights etc. The adjustable sight are new to me as well so thats going to be interesting. The trigger pull freaks me out. 😂

Thank you sir for your outstanding video. I agree Dan Wesson customer service and how much they stand behind their product is below average, Beretta warranty is worse though. Own two DW, one Colt and many, many CZ’s. No issues with cz’s, my newer colt 1911 is very good quality.
