9mm is the most common caliber, therefore probably the best buy, most likely to be purchased as a first handgun and in these times, most ecconomical to shoot (of the primer fired rounds). One with a bushing and one with a bull barrel. Bout to search your channel for info on them. Thanks again for the quality content. Hope it’s warming up in the frozen north
I couldn't agree with you more on Bul Armory single stacks. 2020 I bought 2 of their "Classic's" 1 in 40 and the other in 45. Sold the 40 to a good friend. The 45acp is now running 45Super ammo. It's a great 1911 for under $900.00

My canik rival is my next best gun for the cash it to is an amazing shooter.
I handled some Bul Armory 1911s a couple of years ago at TriggrCon. They were very impressive. However I think the build quality of my Sig STX (.45 ACP) is at least a very close match. Runs like a top, will feed empty cases, the slide is well-fitted and runs slick, and it has a great trigger and is very accurate. Last I looked, if was a few hundred dollars less than this Bul. Not that I don't want a Bul too! A lady friend of mine swears by her Ed Brown.
My Desert Eagle 1911 is the best 1911 for the cost.. When I got it the cost was 700ish.. beautiful weapon. Super tight. No malfunctions after 1200ish rds.
Looks solid and 1911’s are awesome. The Misses handled this one better than the last two. She was handling that recoil. My only problem is I can never find 45 ACP for sale. 😂
I was a little surprised that when naming the manufacturers of current and notable 1911's, that you didn't name Ruger ... While they are not known for 1911's, they do make rugged and accurate firearms, right here in the USA ... they have the SR1911 which is a 5" Stainless Steel .45 acp pistol, that is not only beautiful, with all the skeletonized features, as well as amazing wood grips. A good trigger ... and when I bought mine a few years ago, about a $700 price tag.
I have a magnum research 1911c made by bul and its fantastic. When you rack the slide on it its as smooth as glass the trigger pull is right at 3lbs right out of the box.
Hey guys same here. I got mine home upgraded the sights to night sights, made a nice set of burl wood grips and then fit and tuned a Wilson combat bulletproof extractor. The slide to frame fit feels like it rides on ball-bearins. Have about 3k rounds through it and it hasn't missed a beat, it chews up any type of ammo I put in it. Trigger is a crisp 3lb and nothing needed to make it better. Paid $700 handles and shoots like a $2k + 1911.
Honest - If Bul can get you one - I’d get the Trophy Saw edition with the TiN barrel rather than the Classic -the wrap around slide cuts are both really cool looking and add a lot to your slide manipulation - agree that the trigger is on par with much more expensive 1911’s Kitted it out with a silver carbon fiber RTH holster with brass retention screws and Armanov asymmetrical CNC’d grips - which IMO are the best 1911 grips out there - found them thanks to your I primarily compete with CO mainly cause Im a bit near sighted - but this will be the one iron sight gun I keep Just a blast to shoot - and extremely accurate even at full speed
Only complaint I have about my particular gun is that it doesn’t hold open on the last round with my Wilson Combat mags. I will also upgrade to a fiber optic front sight. Other than that it is a great gun
@@Taz3459 I'm getting the 1911 Classic also because the Trophy Classic is OOS everywhere. Will be upgrading some parts as well. Dawson has the FO front sight for the Desert Eagle 1911G that should fit.
You missed a step. Between the BUL and the Wilson there is the Les Baer. Beautiful, runs like clockwork, crazy accurate. It’s got this thoroughbred feel. It just loves to run. It *wants* to run. The Wilson combats are like unavailable supermodels to me. I want to put it on a shelf and display it. May even say “never fired” when It comes time to sell it. The Les Baer is Supermodel pretty “and” it’s like that girl in college that you just can’t get enough of. It’s enchanting. There is something sensual and addictive about shooting it.
Wow! Great gun. Wish I had one. My budget range is around Springfield Armory and I would be happy with that. I've never shot one chambered in 9mm. I bet it's a blast. No pun intended.
I have 24 1911s in my collection and I shoot them all. Of the 24, three are BUL 1911 Classics. 45 ACP, 9mm, and a 9X23 Win ( Rechambered and re-sprung by BUL ) The fourth is a 38 Super EDC Double Stack . Unquestionably the BUL Armory is the best value 1911 in the market today. In my opinion the BUL is a $2500 gun with a $1200 price tag. Outlaw, just one question, why would some folks be bothered about the BUL being made in Israel ?
That's a great pistol. As a lefty an ambi-safety is a must have item for me. I would have considered Bul Armory for my 2011 but the models I liked didn't have an ambi-safety. I ended up going with the Staccato C2 in that case.
Couldn’t agree more I have now bought several Buls and the quality for the price is great. Bought a Colt for single stack USPSA for several 100’s more for not near the quaLaity . Sold the Colt bought the Bul never looked back and I run WC mags also . Thx always look forward to your reviews and by the way live in TN but married a IA farm girl so you range looks very familiar LOL. Hope you can do a review on the Laugo Alien
Too bad Bul did not smooth up the trigger way in the frame, you can see the finish on the trigger being worn by the burrs. For that much money it should have been done. You can also see it on the grip safety.
I would love for you to review the Springfield Armory Emissary Black, preferably the 5 inch FS model. I own it and it's a phenomenal gun. Very accurate and it has some nice details on it.
On a side note, from what I have heard, Magnum Research is importing these or models very, very similar to them from Bul and they go for about $800-$900. If they are the exact same guns, then you have yourself an absolute steal for the money.
I'm staring at Bul Armory really hard...I'm liking Springfields stuff also( the emissary looks really nice). I have a buddy who has the American classic 2 1911 by Metro in stainless finish. Man! That thing is nice also for the price....so many choices, and not enough $$$ to get them all...lol.
I'm not a big fan of Colt or Kimber, I've owned several of both and have spent $600-$800 to make them reliable. My best lower end pistols are Rock River/Citadel, great guns for the price point.
I don’t own a 1911 yet. Beautiful iconic handguns. And damn that trigger is so crispy. Anyone have suggestions for more budget friendly variants? I’d like to see the rock island and some you mentioned in action

I just picked up a new BUL Armory Stainless 1911 Commander .45 that is Really Awesome. BUL Armory definitely builds High Quality 1911s. I will be collecting more of them.
I have this exact gun except that mine is .45 ACP and I bought mine used for around $700 used about 5 years ago when BUL was making these for Desert Eagle... LOL. :)
I am looking at a crawley custom 1911 in 9 mm with a Damascus steel slide. I will likely buy it. I am shooting it in about a week then I will make up my mind. A little pricey but what the heck
It’s a nice gun. Thing is, after all the time spent making my RIA 9mm as near perfect as a 1911 can be (for me), it would make NO SENSE to spend more than twice the dollars on a gun I’d have to “whittle on” to get the same results. That rear sight sure makes me want one (the sight, not the gun). And by the way, EVERY part of my Rock Island is what came WITH the gun. Hey! At least that one is pretty.
Just wondering if you've ever shot and reviewed a Springfield armory model known as the Custom 1911? I think they're about $3500-$4,000 they are the choice of the FBI Hostage Rrescue Teams AKA HRT... And by the way, Midway USA had dwx compact in stock...
I'm getting a BUL Trophy this January. Since you have one, can you please advise to what type of bottom cut I should order for a new set of LOK grips? I know it has a magwell, from what you see on yours what type of cut shoujld I specify. THanks much

I have a Sig Traditional Match,
Sigs are just awesome 👌
I have a magnum research 1911c made by bul and its fantastic. When you rack the slide on it its as smooth as glass the trigger pull is right at 3lbs right out of the box.
I have the same. It's easily as good as, if not better than, pistols costing $100s more.
Honest - If Bul can get you one - I’d get the Trophy Saw edition with the TiN barrel rather than the Classic -the wrap around slide cuts are both really cool looking and add a lot to your slide manipulation - agree that the trigger is on par with much more expensive 1911’s
Kitted it out with a silver carbon fiber RTH holster with brass retention screws and Armanov asymmetrical CNC’d grips - which IMO are the best 1911 grips out there - found them thanks to your
I primarily compete with CO mainly cause Im a bit near sighted - but this will be the one iron sight gun I keep
Just a blast to shoot - and extremely accurate even at full speed
damn never been this early before too broke to afford this
I just got this in the government model (not Trophy) so it is missing some of the features but is about half the price. Shoots great and love it
Only complaint I have about my particular gun is that it doesn’t hold open on the last round with my Wilson Combat mags.
I put a 25lpi magwell main spring on my Kimber it fits beautiful just like this one does, it stays tight and fits my VZ alien grips perfectly too
I have a fairly inexpensive 1911 browning 380 .its a light weight easy to function for my messed up thumb.. I reccomend it for a starter for women.
I'd recommend a Ruger SR1911. It's around $800 and has been extremely reliable for me.
NO!
@@gleamtarrest6310 have you tried one?
You missed a step. Between the BUL and the Wilson there is the Les Baer. Beautiful, runs like clockwork, crazy accurate. It’s got this thoroughbred feel. It just loves to run. It *wants* to run.
The Wilson combats are like unavailable supermodels to me. I want to put it on a shelf and display it. May even say “never fired” when It comes time to sell it. The Les Baer is Supermodel pretty “and” it’s like that girl in college that you just can’t get enough of. It’s enchanting. There is something sensual and addictive about shooting it.
What about Rock River Arms?
If I could justify spending that much on a 1911, I'd get one. However my range officer is way more 1911 than I need.
Wow!
You the man Outlaw!
Wilson Combat is the best mags I have been using them in the 80's tried them all.
Any Kimber reviews coming up? The two-tones are so classy looking.
Might be an exception but the first 1911 I ever shot was a BUL in 9mm and it had many malfunctions. Probably because it was a range rental gun.
That is a nice 1911! I have a Colt series 80. Previously had a series 70, but sold it years ago. I am a 1911 fan!
Too bad Bul did not smooth up the trigger way in the frame, you can see the finish on the trigger being worn by the burrs. For that much money it should have been done. You can also see it on the grip safety.
I have the commander in 9mm and love it! It’s my no BS edc
Great video and review. Would love to see you do a Bul Armory 1911 vs. a Bul Armory SAS II.
I used to be an “American guns only!” Guy but I grew up. If it’s a good gun/company I don’t care where it’s from. Looks like this fits the bill.
Girsan 9mm, bull barrel, solid platform that I got.... worth the risk of investment
Does it come in 38 Super? Beautiful gun and Blessing in 2022.
Love my TRP Operator full rail. Would never get rid of it
I'm staring at Bul Armory really hard...I'm liking Springfields stuff also( the emissary looks really nice). I have a buddy who has the American classic 2 1911 by Metro in stainless finish. Man! That thing is nice also for the price....so many choices, and not enough $$$ to get them all...lol.
Good looking pistol. Nice review and excellent shooting as always the Outlaw way. Thank you and your wife for all you do. ♠️☯️🎩
Wow this looks very much like my (2016??) S/A TRP operator. Very similat features and price
I'm not a big fan of Colt or Kimber, I've owned several of both and have spent $600-$800 to make them reliable. My best lower end pistols are Rock River/Citadel, great guns for the price point.
I wonder if Rock River Arms 1911's are on his radar, they come with insane accuracy claims and i believe they guarantee it.
I don’t own a 1911 yet. Beautiful iconic handguns. And damn that trigger is so crispy. Anyone have suggestions for more budget friendly variants? I’d like to see the rock island and some you mentioned in action
Hopefully you do a Review for the Spirngfield Armory .45 ACP Emissary!
Since you love 1911's lets see how it holds up against other 1911's you've reviewed.
Just ordered the 6" Target version! :D Great video, i hope mine is as good as this.
I just picked up a new BUL Armory Stainless 1911 Commander .45 that is Really Awesome.
BUL Armory definitely builds High Quality 1911s. I will be collecting more of them.
You have a item number for the Wilson mags for the bull.
Any thoughts on this vs a dan wesson specialist. Same price point. Different use sure but I'm mainly thinking on fit/quality
Wondering the same
Under 800 at lgs. I didn’t shoot it but damn is it smooth ,cocking it feels like it’s rolling on bearings
Can you do a follow up video on this 1911 ? Did you get more malfunctions ?. thanks
I have this exact gun except that mine is .45 ACP and I bought mine used for around $700 used about 5 years ago when BUL was making these for Desert Eagle... LOL. :)
I love the classic look of 1911s but I don’t think I’ll ever get one cause my hands are too small
I love the Israeli gun makers.... They're pretty darn good! Just like the Czechs, they also make superb guns!!
I want the Bull SAS in 9mm, I have a S&W performance center SC in 45 I want to upgrade to a Springfield TRP
I am looking at a crawley custom 1911 in 9 mm with a Damascus steel slide. I will likely buy it. I am shooting it in about a week then I will make up my mind. A little pricey but what the heck
Great review, Outlaw. Did you go ahead and purchase that pistol, as you mentioned you might do? Just curious.
Hey! At least that one is pretty.
wondering? between the bul 1911 and a dan wesson pointman, which is the better gun and which would you pass onto your son?
Good review, keep up the good work!
Just got the Operator 10mm, not the soft shooter the 9 is, but it's very nice
Just wondering if you've ever shot and reviewed a Springfield armory model known as the Custom 1911? I think they're about $3500-$4,000 they are the choice of the FBI Hostage Rrescue Teams AKA HRT...
And by the way, Midway USA had dwx compact in stock...
I'm getting a BUL Trophy this January. Since you have one, can you please advise to what type of bottom cut I should order for a new set of LOK grips? I know it has a magwell, from what you see on yours what type of cut shoujld I specify. THanks much
