YOU BETCHA, I'm a nobody with alil history on this video. Lived like 7 houses down front Sunlite and apparently I was the 1st to order the Wild. Because Sunlite posted on FB after the fact . And then someone else came in and ordered a 4 patty burger , SO..... I had to get the title back and 1 Birthday of mine I stopped in and ordered a ×2 wild w/ bacon !!! LoL small town DL. I love throwing the kayak in the water w/ headphones on and a cold one , and venturing over and gettin a burger basket!!! The Sunlite is a Awesome lil hidden gem!!!!! Thank You!! For pluggin it!!!!
Grew up in rural Galway Ireland in the late 80s Most bars had a little grocers up front, usually the wife ran it, also offered postal services. The back was the bar, they lived upstairs, and the name of the bar/store was always the family name.
can't do that in a lot of towns in the united states because of various zoning laws, unfortunately always thought they were the coolest things when i ran into them
My favorite bar has a huge 3/4 pound customizable burger and a punching machine. I love to watch my friends fight over who can hit the hardest before I wipe the smile off their faces. The look on their faces when they see my burger with bacon, pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, BBQ sauce, and a generous splash of hot sauce
There’s a bar by purdue university that was the original peanut butter burger. There’s also a bar in carmel indiana called flight burger where you order burgers and beers in flights.
Nice. Well If I'm headed to Fargo I'm going here. Also I went to Do Dodge in on my way through Eau Claire. Really good curds. Will be going there everytime I'm in the area.
I once had a bison burger that was served on large portabello mushroom caps instead of bread, and served on top of a salad. Talk about a memorable food experience. It's been maybe six years and I still remember how beautiful it tasted
such a beautiful spot, great you found it and gave us a hilarious impression of it the Burger duude, wow Lake, Hockey and a Candyshop + super humble people there, thank you what more could you ask for I'm looking forward to see your next Stop
That is cool. Used to live in this hollar called Kittredge in CO. The Kittredge Grocery Store was the place to be. Food, booze, and groceries plus gasoline in one location. Loved getting lunch or dinner there as it was a stones throw across the road and next to the post office.
In Puerto Rico most of our gas stations are a convenience store and a bar that has an area to sit, drink and hangout. Oh, and we have the 24 Market, which is like a 7/11 that doubles as a bar/club (which of course is still a convenience store).
You should go to the i-diehl tap in plain wisconsin, im sure you will like that bar as long as your a hunter! Right in the heart of wisconsin deer country
I love places like this. When we were in the UP snowmobiling, I couldn't tell you how many of these places we came across and had a bite of food and a beer. People are strangely aggressive and friendly at the same time, as someone from the PNW living in the South I love it. This place reminds me exactly of that and that wild ass burger looks amazing.
I forget exactly what small town had it but on the Oregon coast there was a bar in a hardware store. Legitimately an Ace Hardware with taps. Very Midwest out west.
Had a place just like this 2 minutes from my house growing up. Right on the river, called the Tyee Landing. Restaurant/Bar/store/boat launch. Had a wood stove and an outside patio too.
So my husband and I own the Woodtick Inn in Cuyuna MN. We have foose ball, a pool table and 14 pull tab boxes, yes I said 14 pulltab boxes. Every year on the 2nd Saturday of JUNE, we have woodtick races....ues you read that right, woodtick races. I think you guys need to do a video at our bar for pull tabs and woodtick races
you need to hit up Huntingburg, IN its known as "The Hollywood of the Midwest" few movies filmed there and two great midwest townie bars The Gaslight and Ron's Place
Ooh nice burger there, ya. I am usually not in that part of MN but if I am ever in the area I gotta stop by and try that! Thanks for the MN road trip suggestion.
Never seen that before at a bar.. I think its a good idea..actually... selling some overpriced "conveince store" things too. NICE burger too ! Wow. They should use a bigger bun, and toast it. How's their "Runny Ranch" ? That bar looks close to perfect. Get a shuffleboard too.
Sunlite is on the shore of beautiful Little Floyd Lake, just north of Detroit Lakes. Back when my in laws had a place their I caught a lot of nice walleyes on that lake.
Off sale of beer in Minnesota means it’s only 3.2%. In Minnesota we call it “near beer”. Because on average beers are 4.5 to 5%. If you buy any off sale in Minnesota you might as well just buy some water or maybe a 12 pack of Coca-Cola.
This place is built for someone to live their entire life there. Singles go in They meet someone They have kid Spend family time there Spend retirement there Rinse and repeat 🤣
You're a bit crazy on the jump-cuts, but I really enjoy your videos man. I'm a West Coaster, but there's something all-encompassing about the way you describe the MidWest that just resonates with middle America.
Any restraunt with a convenience store inside or vice versa is almost always good in my experience. You come in with low expectations to get some road snacks and it ends up being a very memorable experience
I loved tending bar in Wabasha MN were you could throw the losers on the floor. I seen them piled so high the old folks could fall off the bar stool and not break a hip.
That's right the bubble hokey! Thank you for reminding me I need to snatch the one in my aunts basement. Now to watch some midwest cheap to figure out how I am gonna weasel it out of her.
We're heading to the St. Louis area next! What bar should we visit and why?
On your way to St Louis (or back) you should stop in Camanche, IA the Poorhouse Tap! Go Cubs😁
Morisons Irish pub across the river from st Louis

I could eat that on a flip flop
But 1000x better!

Mackinaw City, MI has a restaurant called White Buffalo. I had an elk, bison, boar, and venison burger. It was amazing.
That looks delicious! I'm in SD, so will definitely have to check that out next time I'm in MN. You Betcha!
My hometown bar! DL!
I'm so Midwest I thought he was gonna say at the end, "If you're a pull tab investor, call the Michigan gambling addiction hotline today!" 🤣
4 different kinds of animals on one burger. I love it!
“Beard Meets Food” could double down four of those burgers and then ask for the dessert menu.😅
BeardMeatsFood is the channel, Adam is ranked #11 in the world, so he could probably do at least five, if there's no chips or mushrooms. :P

This man having enough personality for the waitress is so wholesome
I have to believe there’s some way to write those pull tabs off as a business expense!
You can report gambling losses on your personal tax forms.

Bubble hockey, love the nostalgia. Pretty sure the one I played was the NY Rangers vs. MTL Canadiens. Kind of confusing because red, white, and blue.
That burger looks delish but I think the bubble hockey was the highlight of this one. "I don't know how the hockeyplayers do it" lmao
you betcha the most relatable comedy channel
A pub/shop is still quite common over here in rural Ireland.
