- "Heroes are important. Heroes tell us who we want to be, but when they made this particular hero they didn’t give him a gun, they gave him a screwdriver to fix things. They didn’t give him a tank or a warship or an X-Wing, they gave him a call box from which you can call for help, and they didn’t give him a superpower or a heat-ray, they gave him an extra heart. And that’s extraordinary. There will never come a time when we don’t need a hero like the doctor."
-Stephen Moffat

DISCLAIMER: Yes, this video only covers New Who. At the time of creation, I've only scene up to the Third Doctor's first season for Classic Who, so it would have felt off to comb through clips of seasons I have still yet to see.
Shameless plug to a game I helped create:

We're all different people if you think about it,all through our lives...
That right there embodies what doctor who is all about showing us how we change through self improvement and better people and grow :) it's why that speech for me is the best out of all the speeches Capaldi's war speech comes a very close second and then third his regeneration speech about being kind to one another 3 of my upmost favourite parts of the series.
And that's ok, that's good. You gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be.
Times change, and so must I!
That was an amazing and poignant set of last lines for Smith, probably the most emotional exit in NuWho
Happy 60th to the greatest show in the multiverse
"burning the old me to make a new one" The parallel you drew between the doctor's repeated fight and death in Heaven Sent and his regeneration is just so perfect. It is my favorite episode, and you just made me realize that the reason I love it (among many others) is also the reason why I love the show itself so much. The fact that whenever we meet a new incarnation, even though we know very well that one day we will lose him and it will hurt like hell, we'll still get attached to him and get sad when we have to say goodbye again and again. We don't care because "vice versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant." And that's also how the doctor lives his life, regeneration after regeneration. You tied the whole video together with the Shepherd's boy so well that you made me sob on multiple occasions. Thank you so much!
fantastic... Regenerations are both heart breaking and a joy... EG.. Goodbye 10, Hello 11 etc.. This covers that perfectly...
The montage is great, but real editing masterpiece here is that you somehow kept the Shepherd's Boy playing for 15 minutes straight
I wish I could take credit for that, but it was an extended version I found on UA-cam haha. The link to it is in the description,
god bless Ian Chesterton. The original GOAT!
Despite it not covering all 60 years (and I understand the reasoning), this is an incredibly beautiful tribute to the modern era. Those last few minutes of the actual regenerations taking place one after the other was top notch *chefs kiss* 👌👌. Gave me chills there. Brilliant work.
I'd definitely be interested in revisiting this once you've seen the Classic era and integrated that as well.
❤ this is exactly what I have to say.. 😅 absolutely marvelous 🎉. Even with my least favorite doctor (chibby era) I dub thee 😂... regardless I will be re-watching this for some time to come 💌
That was very very good. You’ve chosen the scenes brilliantly, the editing was fantastic and the timing with the music was molto bella! 🤘
Not nearly enough classic who to be called a 60th, but still a fantastic tribute to the modern series.
Honestly I agree, but I've still only seen up to some of the Third Doctor's run, so I opted to focus on New Who for this one. (Although how could I not include the Brigadier?) Not to mention this video is already very long as is lol
Good god, that was incredibly well done. Thank you for making this!
Your playing "Shepherd's Boy" to this video was truly inspired.....Well done...
That was well done
Absolutely wonderful.
Thank you.
Awesome
unbelievable beautiful! I will come back to this video lots!
Just watched a full episode for the first time…it was awesome.
Which one did you watch? :)
Brilliant. Thank you. Gave me goosebumps
Fantastic!
Allons-y!
This video is a fantastic tribute to Doctor who
this was beautiful. fantastic work!
Great, great edit.
Absolutely beautiful, thank you
I think a few more classic who clips could've been put in but i like the editing style and the sound mixing was spot on i liked how you showed the regenerations at the end again i think a few of the classic regenerations could've also been put in put in there but again love the editing style keep up the good work.
Thanks! There's a bit more sound clipping than I'd like, but that's what happens when you edit with too basic of software hahaha
In terms of Classic Who, I've only seen up to some of the Third Doctor, so I didn't want to spoil some of those moments for myself and elected to make this video focused on New Who. (Although I couldn't resist using that perfectly-fitting clip of the Brigadier because come on lol)
Your perspective on the Classic Doctors will change with viewing the Fourth Doctor's episodes...
Just brilliant
Just beautiful, well done!
Thanks!
So serious and dramatic and then it just ends with 14 saying what…what? WHAT
Brilliant
Well, not actually a 60th anniversary tribute....just a tribute to the 2005 series onward.
Nice tribute tho nu who maybe but not to the whole show,so maybe a part 2 focused on classic who?
60 years and you only do 2005 on? No, just no. Try again.
You do know there were 8 other incarnations don’t you?
