    I so wish you could come to my house to cook. You have great creativity, especially on the fly. It was also a good reminder to me to stop being a short-order cook for my family. Starting this week everyone will be eating Mom's healthier meals. More fruits and veg for everyone.

    I truly hope the wegovy thing is/will be fixed soon. Too many people who need it, including you, should be able to get it. My neighbor gets Ozembic and doesn't need it. it's not fair to all that need it. Take care and good luck.

    You can do rice in an instant pot! Just equal parts water and rice. I do brown rice and it takes 15 minutes!

    Growing up I often had leftover dinner for breakfast. Meatballs and gravy was a favorite. My step mom didn't love the heavy smells in the morning, but she never made me stop!

    I always get good ideas from you!
    I love cottage cheese any time of day and mix in all kinds of stuff.
    Also, want to mention A La Madre corn tortillas. They are 30 calories each. We do taco Tuesday every week so I cannot be without them. The taste and texture are so good.

    Left over spaghetti is my favorite breakfast food. Pasta for breakfast is really smart because it gives you energy through the day. Get your Ramen breakfast on..lol

    Thank you for the inspiration :) I'm doing a calorie deficit too but I've been just eating low-cal snacks. Watching your video makes me think I should focus on making satisfying meals, just small portions, and do that. I like to cook but I'm Ozempic (I'm diabetic) and sometimes I get grossed out thinking about food. While cooking. Which is good for weight loss but it makes me end up eating like like 4x 100cal bag of pretzels instead of the healthy meal I cooked for my home lol.

    Thank you for the hard work you put into preparing these videos for us. It would be helpful for me if you could share the calories, or estimated calories, for some of the recipes you make specifically for yourself, such as the poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce. That way I can think about how I could include some new things into my own calorie deficit diet.

    Really great video, Jen! Do you still edit all your videos? If so, I’d love to know how you fit it in. From having time to shoot, download,
    save and organize footage, and the also making time to edit and do voiceovers. It’s a lot more time than people realize and it can be a lot of work.

    Hi Jen. I'm making a recipe from your cookbook, the honey soy salmon burgers. I added some Badia mojo rub seasoning and subbed a few splashes of my orange pop for the lime juice 😂
    Even now I still go to your cookbook, I even got my partner in on it.

    Great video Jen! Why are people ok with having breakfast for dinner but not ok with dinner for breakfast? Lol i do that often too im not always in the mood for breakfast foods at breakfast so alot of times ill eat dinner leftovers. But i just got back into yogurt bowls too I literally just finished eating one for lunch...my lunch is at 2 in the morning so I dont like eating anything too heavy so I had plain nonfat Greek yogurt I added a tiny bit of honey abd a bit of vanilla extract and added some chopped walnuts and sliced almonds it was so freakin good.

    I put the sour cream in one of those fold top bags and tie it, then use a fork to poke holes in it for squeezable sour cream without the price of squeezable.

    I also had gastric bypass surgery, and gained half the weight back and have b12, vit D and iron deficiency and to be completely honestly the only way I can lose weight is if I am in a calorie deficit of 1200 or under

    I was confused by your "Calorie deficit" video. I wish you had explained how many calories you aim for each day and more about your diet. I would love to see you go full Keto because I'd love to see what Keto meals you prepare for yourself. You are so good at doing videos and obviously cooking. But I think you would love how you feel if you went full Keto.

      I do believe she's tried keto, but I really wish people would stop pushing it on others. Yes it CAN help some people lose weight, but it's far from a healthy choice. It can, and does, really mess up your digestion and gut health in general. It's also inflammation-causing which is linked to SO many health problems, not to mention that in order to get all the nutrition your body needs you need to supplement like crazy. Different strokes... as they say, but I really wish this trend would get lost already. I see too many people suffer the consequences of such a fat-heavy diet. The only "diet" that works and is generally not harmful is calorie deficit. Burn more calories than you eat. Eat lean meats, low-fat, reduced carbs, lots of vegetables to stay low cal and high health. Otherwise, eat Oreos if you want as long as you don't eat more in cals than you burn.

      ​@@JulieAnnEPowellabsolutely agree with you on that. Jen mentioned before that she has/had gallbladder issues, so regulating fat intake is very important. Also, she mentionedvtgat she had problems with constipation, which is also very common with keto diets. The only way to loose weight is to be in a calorie deficit and all diet styles (keto, vegan, carnivore, paleo) work because of that fact. BtW ozempic and wegovy also work because you are in a calorie deficit because of a loss of appetite. The best fooda to eat in a calorie deficit are mostly whole foods including lots of fruit, veg, nuts, whole grains and lean proteins, keeping saturated fats very low. The youtube channel of dr layne norton is an excellent source of knowledge for science based weight loss.

      ​@@JulieAnnEPowell I agree about keto. I did it but eventually got high cholesterol and it just wasn't sustainable for me. Plus I have bad digestive issues. I really don't like all the fat that I had to consume. Now I just lower carbs and have more veggies and fruits and watch how much I'm consuming.

      Calorie deficit is the only thing that works and any kind of diet works because you get to be in a calorie deficit by excluding certain foods. I would suggest you watch the videos of dr. Layne norton he breaks down all the science on weight loss - by explaining it based on the scientific literature.

    Can we just live life without having to feel like we need to be a certain size? Is it not enough to have blood panels that are within range along with other recommended preventative testing? I feel like we are robbing ourselves of life’s simple pleasures. Also, as much as I hate to admit that I love Diet Coke I know it is complete trash and toxic.
