I would call the choreography revolutionary rather than difficult. I can think of quite a few more difficult girl group dances, but what makes it impressive is that you can see how today's girl group dances are built around the frame that ITNW built.

What's special about Girls' Generation is that in their early years, they weren't shown as sexual objects at all (when young girls in other groups were; concepts are decided by the agency) and they didn't have sexually suggestive choreography as well. Their choreography stemmed from cute to cool to sexy but never sexual. And the fact that they remained on top of the other groups without these things made me respect them a lot more. Now younger groups are gaining more fans so it's getting harder for them to get music show awards but they've had their peak era, everyone agrees they're iconic in kpop and they're already living legends, all successful in their own ways, too, so as a SONE, I'm just proud and happy for them.
Even though I'm a big fan of them, even I have been disappointed many times by the quality of some lyrics and how their side tracks not as good as their "Girls' Generation" era. Red Velvet side tracks come out really well so I just feel like SM is not giving their all to make the best quality for SNSD since they could just ride their popularity.
The magic of songs like "Into the New World" is that it's such a bright song but I feel so touched listening to it that I would sometimes tear up. It still remains my absolute favorite out of all SNSD's songs, for the messages we can get from it and how the lyrics aren't just applicable for romance.
SNSD is my ultimate favorite group but as much as I want to request this channel to react to all the SNSD hits, I'm personally not satisfied with about half of them musically so I don't know if I'll be strong enough to have their music criticized. T____T Performance-wise though, SNSD will always remain at the top for me.

Thain Gar I agree. I'm a SONE for many years but don't like some of their discography. It's always been a love-hate relationship with their music. But SNSD and 2NE1 will always be my 2nd generation favorite girl groups of all time. You may like their songs or not, but you can't deny their massive contribution to the industry.
I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed that no one remarked how the song manages to keep an incredible momentum... a soaring quality all the way thru. It's the rhythmic drive, but also each phrase of the melody doesn't end on the tonic. The end of each phrase is a suspension, and that builds an increased tension throughout the song. It gives it a feeling of optimism in the face of obstacles.

This was the first group I started to follow and every time I hear this song it reminds me of the Tokyo performance, the ballad version and I get tears they really went through a lot ❤️
Glad they recognized and appreciated how iconic SNSD is. Pleaseeee react to more SNSD songs!! They are so versatile and every one of their title tracks is completely different. One thing they are known for in Korea is never having done the same concept twice. IGAB and Genie are great choices, but they also have Gee, The Boys, Hoot, Catch Me If You Can, Lion Heart, and more songs that would be really interesting to see reactions to.
I'd like to see a reaction to Tiffany's Heartbreak Hotel as well, it's a great song.

Let's try our best to be patient with the new kpopper generation, they have a lot to learn yet still and may still remain ignorant of the history of kpop. They came into a different era of the genre. They haven't been fully exposed to 1st gen or 2nd gen kpop they're uneducated when it comes to kpop history and legendary status.
I'm actually very patient with them, but in the day that SNSD did their 10th anniversary comeback, there were people really offending them and sending really hatefull coments. If they like the song or not, there is something very important that you don't even need to be a kpopper to know: RESPECT!
I don't really care for comments like "I didn't like the song" or "This is not my style" or whatever because everyone can have a different opinion and I'm not the kind of kpopper that want everyone to kiss my bias buts. But when they offend them, the case is different!

I absolutely love how honest and fresh and into this everyone is on this. I don't know much technically about music, and especially classical music, but I love watching these and seeing everyone's enthusiasm for this.
I like how they praise SNSD's healthy vocals. Definitely, SNSD is one of the best vocal groups out there.

I do agree with you with her choosing all night over holiday but, this is my opinion, I wasn't a fan of both songs to be honest. Their last few songs was either a hit or miss for me. Like, late 2015-ish. I liked party and catch me if you can. Lionheart...not so much. Sailing...i don't think I actually listened to that yet
Sailing is more worth it for the lyrics than the music itself cause is one that boring ballads koreans loves.

I really appreciate this channel ♥️ big love to Umu and all reactors friends! All the while i love kpop just because i feel that they are really upbeat, catchy and energizes things up. SNSD starts something, audience isn't usually ready so the reception is always like "well... idk....that's really Soneyeo Shidae of them" Then all other groups get on the bandwagon, and then everyone's jamming to it. Then they come back to SNSD and think "omg, this is a great song!" Which is what makes them timeless.
Guys, I know there is IGAB x Genie in the schedule but i think you should also include Gee x The Boys because they're their most popular songs!
And they are REALLY different

I think they'll either really like IGAB or think it's too much, either way Im interested to see what they think since structurally it's so different. After the first chorus of Genie, there's nothing really new added to the song. I'd rather have the Boys. Even though there's a very repetitive motif, the instrumentation is quite good and there are times when it's harmonically very interesting.
