    Just glad to see someone with the factory over fenders on there where I could actually see what they looked like. 10 seconds into the video and glad you posted it.

    I had to stop the video at 0:54 and ask, how, exactly, does the closed brake save the owner $1000 over a three year period? Compared to the Grizzly, I'm assuming, but there's no way on earth any Grizzy owner is spending $1000 on rear brake maintenance over three years. Maybe over 10 years, if you were taking the bike to the dealership to have the brakes serviced, but even then, that would be a stretch. I've really gotta see the math on that one.

      Andy has performed cost analysis for New Zealand maintenance. This is based on farming use and following the prescribed book maintenance performed by a workshop . Very heavy daily use and abuse, unlike recreation. Use in wet, mud, sand, animal slush, towing , lots of hills and braking. The exposed brakes are worn out and require more maintenance ( disc rotors, pads, brake pistons) . The wet brake is fully sealed and preserved from much of the wear and tear.

    Ok. $1000 Dollars over 3 yrs for rear brakes? Even in New Zealand $$$? I've had my 660 Grizzly for 3 months shy of 20yrs now. I still have a set of rear brake pads for the old driveshaft mounted rear brake, that I bought about 7yrs ago, but didn't need them yet. And at an actually low 3500 miles on this near 20yr old bike, I still don't need them. $1000 over 3yrs for rear brake pads. Can't buy that. Brake pads in the states are like $30 max a set. No way New Zealand has that much mark up.

      Hi, our Andy says "save $1000 over 3 years". He is comparing to service costs of other braking systems. In New Zealand , the owners are using them every day on extreme terrain on sheep stations , beef farms and dairy farms (think of all that cow cr*p and mud) . They get an absolute hammering 7 days a week, some with huge mileage, so the internal wet brake system reduces running costs. He did a lifetime cost analysis to assist large farms predict servicing costs, so I trust he knows what he is talking about. Thanks for the comments, they are great, keep them coming.

      If you're spending 1K in 3yrs on rear brakes on an ATV, you're getting hosed. The kind if mileage and use to burn up that much in brake pads - you're spending much more on engine/transmission repairs. Unless they make that stuff out of gold down south, you're going to have to sell that noise somewhere else. Cow shit ain't tearing up disc brake pads that fast. And Brake pads don't cost that much either. I'm telling you a 20yr old Grizzly 660 is on stock rear brake pads with 3500 miles. If you do that in a year, you have over 10K miles on a quad in 3yrs, and just say you replaced the pads 3 times in 3 yrs. Maybe you had to replace a disc because of negligence. Still, not $1000 I dont think. I'm a huge fan of the sealed wet brake. Have one on an 07 Grizzly 350. Another on an 08 King Quad 450. Had another on a 2020 King Quad 750 I just sold. Solid tractor style brake system. I thought the comment was overstated. And I still do.
