I just bought this exact machine today, special edition... 700 kodiak with power steering.etc...I owned a few machines over the years, and my first impression with this beast is ' impressive"...I almost went with the Polaris, in that I liked the ride and storage...I leaned toward the yamaha because of it's bullet proof reliability...After a few miles down the trails today, I was "very" impressed with the ride and power...I'm certain I made the right choice...

The Grizzly will not give you more speed, the kodiak will outrun the Grizzly top speed. The grizzly is geared 6% lower gearing and has lighter clutches for quicker response. I have both a 2021 kodiak EPS 700 and a 2021 Grizzly 700. The grizzly will work all day just like the Kodiak. The grizzly rides over rough stuff a little better at speed, has taller handle bars and seat. The Grizzly is a bigger machine and better for tall guys but anyone can ride them. Depends on your budget and what you want. I like the grizzly better because I can wheelie better and cruise thru rough and fast stuff but a kodiak can change clutch weights and be almost as responsive. You are showing a top of the line kodiak , and the black vents under the hood is for the CVT air vent, your air filter is under the seat. Nice kodiak

I will be picking up the 2024 version of the Kodiak 700 SE with all the same features as that one the only difference is the plastic colors, it’s the new tan and dark blue theme which at first was kind of like ehh not a fan but after seeing it in person wow 😮 it looks sharp!! As far as power goes I always liked the Yamahas I found Polaris doesn’t really compare unless you go with an 800 or 1000 twin cylinder but that’s not a fair comparison. I rode both in the woods my friend let me ride his and the Yamaha shocked me! You can clearly tell that it’s definitely designed for true utility not speed but the ride was so smooth! I will be getting mine with a plow as well. I can’t wait to use it! The center storage looks really good to store some gloves, a face mask, and maybe even a small tool bag for trail repairs!

Kind of liking the Grizzly SE with the square (as they say) set up. 27x10 tires on 14 inch aluminum rims all around.

The videos are getting better and better keep up the good work man!! I was just up north riding my ATV this past weekend. My machine of choice is an 04' Bombardier. Basically my machine for trails that are just too gnarly for even the gnarliest of bicycles lol. Cheers! 🥂

I dont know why Yamaha refuses to build a quad with a 1000cc motor. Atleast throw the 850 motor in it

The biggest difference between this and the grizzly not mentioned in the video is the grizzly is a full 2 in wider track 48 vs 46 inches which completely changes the handling and cornering stability compared to the Kodiak

I’m looking to get my first quad. I rode a 520 rubicon and it was pretty sweet. But I’m 225 lbs with no gear, tools, survival gear. The 520 was cool but I’m wondering if more power would be nice. It’s really hilly here too. Any advantage to the cvt vs 5 speed? I’ve never ridden cvt before. I defined want Japanese bike. Any help would be cool. Thanks you. Also do all quads feel like they will tip over? Lol. I’m used to dual sport motorcycles. I’m sure I was just being a baby but it seemed really sketchy if the trail was off cantor

Yamaha’s CVT is the best in the game. The Grizz is better for trails, but the 700cc and CVT regardless of Kodiak/Grizz is amazing. Smoooooth, comfy, super powerful.

@@veeDubbinit2 ya i keep reading the Grizz is better for trails but the Kodiak is more compact so wouldnt that make it better through turns and such? Tbh i have no idea iv only ever rode smaller handmedown sports quads and was looking to finally get my own

@@Thee_Jadex hey dude, you’re like me in that I had only had sport quads as well. I have not rode a Kodiak, but they are more of a farm / ladies ATV, and I’m only saying that because they are a bit more narrow, little less ground clearance, gearing is a bit lower (good for towing), handle bars a bit lower. The Grizzly is perfect for trail riding, bit of a bigger frame, so it probably will fit you better. I cannot say enough good about the Grizzly - it’s such a good bush machine, adventure machine, 4x4 is unreal, the CVT is soooo smooooth. If you have the extra grand or two, go for the Grizz, you will not be disappointed my friend. Keep me posted 👊🏻😎

@@veeDubbinit2 Psh ya even my sports quads never had much ground clearance this would definitly be a upgrade in every way, I'm still personally leaning towards the kodiak just cuase i would prefer a slightly smaller quad and i like the seat on it a bit more incase i ever need to make a break off of it. Infact one of the things i was kinda worried about with the quad is it is much heavier than the sports so it would be pretty dang disastrous if it rolled if i do say myself though from what i gathered its much much less likley to compared to my old ones unless your doing somthing really dumb so im not too worried. Still the Kodiak is kinda speaking to me but I do plan to be going over quite a bit of rocky/arid terrarin so is the grizz is really better/safer for that ill have to do some considering =P
Either way though i could be a long while before i actually get either of them as their super low in stock and they only really sell Hondas around here in California which are also a solid choice from what iv seen but def leaning for Yama

that battery looks like it's hard to remove... For the winter I take the battery out of my quad and put it in the garage so it doesn't freeze up. The Kingquad's battery is right under the seat so it's really easily accessible. Here it seems like you have to take the entire RACK off.
