the days of free wheeling crown vics at the auctions are over :( chris thanks for your videos on the crown vics i got one 2 years ago for 2K & its a classic.
I always love these videos on Auction vehicles. I was surprised the Tahoe you were bidding on went for $12,800. Especially when you consider the cost and labor for a replacement engine and transmission. I have talked to police officers who have told me the Explorer's and Tahoe's are not very reliable.
Hey Keith, thanks man for stopping by for the latest auction video. I appreciate that and yeah, that Tahoe I wanted sold for some crazy money especially considering the repairs it needed. And judging by the number of Tahoes at this auction, I totally understand now that Tahoe's have all kinds of issues. Thanks again!
You guys seem to get garbage ex Police cars, here is Australia they are sent for reconditioning at fleet services then offered at Auction with certificate of roadworthiness. All interiors are steam cleaned all light and decal marks are removed and panels that are damaged are entirely replaced. General mileage is approx 65,000 miles/ 100,000klm.
2015 Tahoes got the (allegedly) 355hp engine which is why folks want them over the 2014-older. They also have some nicer appearance touches over the older ones. But it is painful to see all the final auction prices. Texas auctions are just as bad. Everything at KBB clean retail or higher
11:45 I believe the M in the model number of that truck was for Military, and it was repainted in that blue color. The dead giveaways for that would be the color of the engine, interior, and the underside of the truck as well. I probably would have been a heavy player on that truck for the same reasons you mentioned. 13:13 I think I might have grabbed one of those buses, but only if it was in run and drive condition. I would have the body shortened by A LOT, leaving the front seat in, along with 2 or 3 rows of seats, but leaving the frame intact. Then I would have the remainder of the frame converted to be a car hauler.
Yeah, me too. I really liked that 2015 Tahoe partly because of the condition and partly because it had a typical civilian interior. But dang, it sold for way, WAY more than I wanted to give.

What's happening Chris great videos as always and like I said before you need to start doing voice-overs I could listen to you reading encyclopedias all day, I was watching one of your older videos when you bought the Ford van I think it was an Aerostar and that inspired me to buy my first project truck it's a 2019 Ford Ranger only 36000 miles it needs body work on the driver side the passenger side is in great condition everything checks out good it takes off good and the transmission shifts good hopefully I scored or lesson learned thanks again✌

Tax writes offs. Ten to fifteen grand. Good for a railroaders with young families. Police vehicles are rode hard and put up wet.
one of the buses would be nice...to make camper... any word on why so many had bad drivetrains? Was there specific common probs with em? Do govt agencies change engines, trans if they go bad, or just tow em to auction?
My girlfriend bought a focus new in 2013. It has just over 39,000 miles it's been in 5 times for the trans, last time it was in they replaced the clutches(duel clutch trans) it's been almost a year trouble free. Ford extended the warranty to 10 years for the transmission and yes she got in on the lawsuit but even though the lawsuit was settled last year she's still waiting to get paid.

Dude, those Ford Focus's show up at every single auction. The state must have bought hundreds and now they are all getting dumped off. I want to skip over them when I go to these auctions but it's always interesting to see what they sell for. What kinda idle hours should I worry about on crown vic police cars . Got a guy around my area that gets really clean ones they drive real nice and saw some on Craigslist, all kinda years
Wouldn't even worry about it. PIs are getting harder to get and more expensive as a whole car but engines alone are cheap. I paid 800 for my 08 running 2 years ago with 164k on it. Production stopped in 2011 so they're all going to have miles and hours
People are stupid when it comes to buying cars. Most people are way too willing to spend way too much money on a vehicle. I have always been amazed at the fact peole will pay more money than necessary to buy a car than need be. If they would stop paying more than they need to the price of used cars would drop substantially.

I totally agree! I was surprised too, especially by the missing catalytic converters.
People are stupid when it comes to buying cars. Most people are way too willing to spend way too much money on a vehicle. I have always been amazed at the fact peole will pay more money than necessary to buy a car than need be. If they would stop paying more than they need to the price of used cars would drop substantially.
You can't buy that model of focus here in the UK only the hatchback. Nobody here buys a car with a trunk unless its a Mercedes or a BMW.
