I swear by African Black soap. I use it on my face. My hair. My whole body. I’ve long stopped using store bought soap on my body. And my skin is so clear and healthy. So is my scalp. I swear by this stuff!
I have been using the ayurvedic mix from your channel and omg why did i wait so long. My hair has grown and stronger and shedding is almost non existent. I also put amla oil in my deep conditioner and talk about soft and ahhhmaaaazing. Thank you thank you thank you.
I'm so happy to see a black (or mixed) British woman flourishing so well. I feel like you represent a movement not just a trend. I'm seriously so happy every time I see your informative and fun content pop up. Also, my hair is flourishing. I found your channel after a major set back in my hair journey. .
It’s like you read my mind with this video as I’ve wondered if you had ever used it in your regimen. I made some shampoo with ABS but I added some shikakai, amla and bhrami powders, coconut and castor oil (just a little) and some essential oils after I started following your Ayurvedic routines and it’s amazing. No need for store-bought shampoo anymore My hair is very soft and shiny. Thank you!
I've been making a version of this for the last two months and it has been awesome!!!! I add in some shikaikai, amla, Brahmi, bhringraj, neem, aloe Vera, and zizyphus spina Christi powders and add some extra water to compensate. I also use argan, jojoba, and black castor oil in mine. My hair always comes out soft and strong. In my next batch I want to add some Aritha powder as well. Thank you for sharing this recipe!
Khadijah Mahon I just add the straight powder to the soap/water mix and then dilute till it’s a reasonable thickness. I don’t mind if it’s a bit gritty cause I can get a mini scalp scrub in.
i've used black soap all my life on my body, but only started using it on my scalp due to my alopecia. It really healed my scalp as even other non sulphate shampoos were irritating my scalp. i will definitely be adding you diy growth oil to my black soap for that extra boost. Also i love how you still have all the recipes on your channel even though you have started selling the products.
Ayee!!! Sis you danced to a Nigerian song, as a Nigerian, I was excited. African black soap is a blessing, it's in excess here in Nigeria as we have been making it for hundreds of years, in fact, before all of these soaps being soap, this was our bath soap, shampoo etc. It's getting a little bit expensive here in Nigeria because the world loves it. We don't even have to add anything to use it here.
Curly Proverbz I did turn on the bell notifications before but i don't know where they are going LOL. I just happened on your video in my feed this time 😑😡.. kmt.
I have been using your ayurvedic mixture for the past five weeks while I had box braids. I took down the braids and used this black soap shampoo. WONDERFUL! I also used the "sludge" from my oil mixed with conditioner as a mask. My hair was so soft and manageable with minimal shedding. I took the black soap shampoo and made a body scrub with the addition of brown sugar, you must try. Thanks a bunch.
Sooo happy to see this video!! I just bought some African black soap and had wanted to make a shampoo but hadn't found quite the right recipe. I've been using your ayurvedic recipes and my hair is finally thriving!!! Thank you girl!
Really appreciate the DIY aspect to your videos. Being natural (to me) does not just mean your hair but also your whole self-care regimen. Stick to the things in their most pure form :) Great channel!
I️ can’t thank you enough. My hair was in the center of my back. Well, I️ did something really dumb, and broke it off. I️ started using the oil mixture in July. I️ barely used it after that. My hair has grown at least 4 inches. It’s almost back to where I️ started before I️ broke it off. Thank you! So now I’m using it faithfully.
I just want to thank you for your content. I haven't began my ayuvedic journey just yet, waiting on my coins to get right lol. But I've seen all of the people that you've helped, you're amazing and thank you again. I can't wait to start, I see so much potential in my tresses. I actually have visions of my hair being super long and healthier than its ever been. :)
Yes girl visualise it!! That was me when I started... I was so desperate at first I could scarcely believe it and then I started to imagine... Oh hey maybe this is possible. I only dreamed of waist length ... Got all the way to tailbone.
OMG! So far I have used a clay wash twice and tonight I did a gloss. Let me tell you. Usually when I clarify, I have a lot of shed hair come out. Tonight I had a whole lot less shed hair come out even after detangling. So pleased with my results so far using your tips CurlyProverbs.
You must be reading my mind 😊😊😊💕I have been planing to move onto African black soap only and who i see posting a recipe today ?? You !! Thank you so much Miss CP. Loads of love ❤️🙏🏾
I boiled cinnamon, rosemary, nutmeg, ginger and honey used the tea to wash with and cleanse my scalp. it works like magic. anywhere there's hair it cleans thoroughly
You are so beautiful, I am inspired to try this to get my hair growing after going through cancer treatment. I am going to add a video to my channel to track my journey.
Oh, my goodness! I've been doing this for a few months now, but I juiced an onion & ginger and added to my herbal mix (I strained the pulp of course). I've had great results as well.
Thanks for this informative video. You are very authentic and I trust everything you post because it is not sponsored and you are very kind to share all your secrets for hair growth. Because of your channel I went natural 3 years ago and my hair is already 23 inches long. I live in the US and I hope your are trying to sell your products here because shipping to the US is very expensive. Thanks for all you do for the natural hair community worldwide.
WOW WOW WOW .... I am floored 23 inches! That is amazing. I do turn away alot of sponsored work but if a company that aligns with my ethos and has quality products I am ofcourse happy to share that. As Belle Bar says they are based in the US.
I love this video! For the past year, I've been making a similar homemade shampoo with the ingredients you listed (except the glyercin), plus a little argan oil, and both peppermint essential oil and lavender essential oil. Now that I have been making your hair growth oil for the past couple months, I'll add that to my mix and the glycerin as well. Love your channel and videos, Ms. CP--keep 'em coming :-)
Your videos are so AWESOME!!! Thank you for helping naturals like myself who continue to find ways to fall back in love with there hair after watching your videos!🤗
Hey curly proverbz I love using the African black soap, it makes my hair and scalp feel so clean, I use it on my girls hair to, I love to make it and it smalls so clean I also use the oils in my DIY I have saw a lot of growth in my hair and my girls hair.❤
Love African black soap! I just wanted to point out that the video is titled Ayurveda Black Soap. Ayurveda is an Indian health system. African black soap originates from West Africa. I was a bit confused when I saw the title. I thought this was a soap from India. Thanks 🙏🏽 for the informative video.
Just watched this video! I know you've been asking for videos we want you to remake and I think this is a fun one to revisit. Maybe an updated African black soap shampoo 🙌🏼
Shalom Curly Proverbs, I use black also. I've been using it for years for the reasons that you mentioned, and because it detangles my hair better; I guess that's the case because it doesn't strip the hair like regular shampoo tends to. My curls are very defined when I apply black soap. I tend to leave it on for at least 20mins prior to washing off due to its benefits to my scalp. Peace and blessings always. X
Loved this video -Jaiyah is perfect. I am having simply outstanding results with your Henna tea and shikakai clay recipes. Thank you for all you do. Oh! and also thank you for introducing me to the Grimwade family's channel.
This is making me want to wash my hair even more! I’ve been dealing with shoulder and wrist pain alternating on both sides for the past month. Trying to detangle, wash, deep condition, and twist with only 1 arm is impossible. Hopefully I can try this recipe soon.
The song in the beginning is Ife' by Youngbodzy, someone from Beautycanbraid channel just let everyone know about 3 days ago. I've been searching for a long..... time 🤗
Challenge on. I have crotchets in now, but, I’m going to get some black soap right now, make this and wash my hair underneath and my son and my skin too. My hair is already neck length but my edges aren’t right and it’s not thick anymore.
Omg...I love this shampoo...it's the best ever... compared to other this is my number 1 .. best feeling to my hair and it not stiff and dry feeling...most time I feel I don't need to condition it.. love love love black soap shampoo
Kenisha White I've been using this to wash my hair for the last 4 weeks and my Seborrheic Dermatitis has cleared up. I usually add peppermint, rosemary, and tea tree essential oils to my black soap shampoo and that seems to be a good idea so far! I've also taken to adding a bit of honey as the black soap on its own can leave your hair feeling stripped when you wash it out. The oils Curly Proverbz uses will help combat that though. Great recipe!
I have been using African Black soap for my skin for years I love the way it makes my skin feel, clean but not dry. Also I wanted to say that I use your Henna gloss for a while now and it is doing wonders for my hair. I really like your product I have my nieces mom using it on her hair and she is happy with the results.
I simply love your solutions for hair growth... I started two months ago and my hair has thickened, but I’m still experiencing hair shedding... it’s less than before, but still shedding... Help?
Kenisha White it cleared my scalp up. I had the same issues. Doctor gave me medicated shampoo didn't work. Now when I'm in the street people think I have weave in.
I feel u when you say after u had your baby, you didn't have much time for your hair. With me its the kids and my husband, the ayurvedic oil mix my husband hates the smell, says I smell like a native doctor lol... Also, I'm a revert Muslim, to work I wear a scarf and weekends are my wash days depending on my mood but I always have to be doing things when my husband is not around as he complains about time consuming. Is there any simpler ayurvedic mix I can do with less smells lol, I have not been seeing growth as yet but I am trying to use the oil religiously every day. Thanks for all your fantastic videos and tips. I simply love them... I'm a lazy natural I must confess lol. Thank you, thank you, thank you
We can't win can we? They want all this fly hair but can't deal with the process...smh Dont worry when he starts seeing your results he will get on board. Which oil do you currently use?
Thank you so much for this. With your mix I can start using my black soap again as shampoo because when I tried it before with just black soap, my hair was so stripped and dry, I was like oh no this is not for me. Also thanks for your Ayurvedic hair oil. It has really helped my boyfriend grow his hair line back fuller and my hair has grown so much this past month. I'm actually an inch from hair goals in just 3 months. I went from my collarbone to almost to an inch above my nipple. My next goal is to save my curls bc my birth control has changed my curl pattern. I literally cried when I saw the change. I think I might have to cut it bc my new growth is healthy and strong but my ends look like I've been perming my hair and I have never permed my hair a day of my life. I hope you can give me more advice on helping my curls comeback or I'm just gonna have to do the big chop and start over. 😭😭😭😭
I get so excited when I see other couples similar to my husband & I (black & Indian). I'm not gone lie girl! I was like WHAT we've been married 9 yrs & my hair ain't that long! lol thank you for all that you do! I'm just starting my journey & can't wait to see the results!!! Also what is the longest that you've kept or think that it's ok to keep the henna n your hair?
same here! that is another thing i loved so much about her, that she has a indian husband. i love seeing Blindian couples lol. my boyfriend is indian and im black and love to show him i know how to do all of these indian DIY's and use all of these in my hair he thinks its so cute how into it i am lol. plus my hair is really growing soooo much fast af!
Yaaaay Blasian massive!! I have left a henna mask in over night. Max 8 hours but please dont do that for your first treatment. I have then used a gloss for no more than about 2 hours x x
I will try to get the ingredients because I’m desperately trying to regrow my hair. It’s been very difficult changing from tropical weather to this weather in England and the hard water certainly didn’t help, but after watching your clips I feel hopeful, because I love my hair and just want it long again. So thanks for sharing 😊
This seems like just what I need. My scalp has been so irritated lately and I'm not sure why. How often do you use this shampoo in comparison to the rhassoul clay?
I use the black soap shampoo by-weekly because it makes detangling my hair a bit of a nightmare. I have lessened my use of shampoo, even this one which I love, because they tangle my hair. So I use a cowash and now a clay more often.
Thank you so much for sharing this recipe, I tried the black soap shampoo with some leftover soap and rosemary oil, just a trial without the Vit-E and glycerin and my hair loved it.... I’m definitely going to try your full recipe. Once again thank you 🙏🏽
I absolutely love your channel!! Not sure if the question has been asked but what are your thoughts on this chebe craze and how would you say it compares with Ayurvedic powders, thank you curly keep up the amazing content ❤️
Wow! I am currently stuck at armpit length when my natural hair is stretched and have been for awhile now. I have been trying to figure out why my hair is at a standstill and shedding. I am so glad I found you. I am going to try all your tips.
This is great! I just took down a protective style and wash day is tomorrow. All these ingredients I have at home right now I'm definitely gonna try this ☺️ thanks for sharing!
Some people think that the African hair and skin supply’s are exclusive to African Americans. Nope, I have used African oils and soaps for over 25 years. Love it! Beautiful video.
Hello curly proverbs. I love your videos but I get bit overwhelmed with the info. I would love to get my hair to waist length and obtain moisture. But where do I begin? I never use henna before but would like to try ,which video should I watch first? Also do I need to use the fenugreek oil as well to grow my hair?
Hey Love start with ua-cam.com/video/hm6fMnU6Gc4/v-deo.html this is a pretty good routine. I would recommend you start with a gloss and a good butter and moisturing DC to mis your ayurvedic gloss in as a basic. x
Hey girl!!! I love Jaiyah!! Put her in more videos! I need to get on the Ayurvedic Hair journey, but I need a starting point that isn’t SOO expensive! I need HELP with a daily, weekly, monthly routine!
If you add a preservative like Optiphen, it should last about 9 months to a year. I know some people don't want to use a preservative but this is a natural broad spectrum preservative. Anything you add water to or use around water needs one. Otherwise, mold can form in about a week and sometimes you can't see the mold.
Love the video, I have been using this soap for a little over a year now (black soap and water) on my hair and skin and I absolutely love the results. My hair is clean and moisturized and my skin is amazing. Using this soap with a good loofah to exfoliate my stretch mark has tremendously minimized. The results are amazing. I also made a simple shea butter lotion to add to my daily skin regimen. The unedited video was a nice touch!!
I am wondering the same thing. Once the soap is melted in water additional preservative is required. She also stated that Vitamin E would preserve it.... vitamin e is not a preservative. I've made shampoo with black soap and I use a preservative suitable to the pH level.
I must definitely give this a try. I currently use your Henna gloss and have seen tremendous strengthening of my hair. Thank you so much for sharing! Yes, I love the unedited version. Your daughter is simply precious!! Please, please, please have another meet up in the states!
Hey girl i wanted to ask that does the normal hair growth oil and the gloss count as balancing? (You mentioned about balancing oil etc so you hair doesnt break?) Thank you
Hey Love Glosses themselves tend to be balanced. They may also be used with a tea and an oil of your choice should balance nicely providing it does not contain vitamin C or MSM. XOX
I have been using a diy ABS shampoo for almost a year (Nov wld make it) I add ACV, glycerine, watever essential oils i have on hand (mostly lavender, lemon and geranium) and olive oil! OMG my hair responds to it and grew! PLUS my scalp is less itchy! Will try out your recipe. Thanks for sharing
I was a bit lost in the middle with the 2nd mixture..or is it the same mixture. U use the black soap mix as a shampoo? And if there is another mixture...what was that?
Hi @curlyproverbz when are you having a forum ir meetup in England please. I have only just discovered your channel few weeks ago. My hair has been shedding like crazy I am yet to do the ayruvedic method but don't know which to do. Please help lol
Hey Love working on one for Dec. How is your diet is their any chance that you are iron deficient. I would say start with a quality multivitamin and mineral supplement. Give it time to work. I would say look into using a tea to spray through out hair but especially at the roots. Bes sure to balance with moisture. Re meet up - There will only be 30 tickets so please hit the notification button so you know when I announce it. Cause when they are gone they are gone.
Curly Proverbz awww thank you So O much. I have been dealing with so much stress like trauma stress. I am doing better but i was wondering maybe that could be a main problem. And my diet is erm yeah not consistent atm. And yh I am actually quite low on iron. . So those could be a factor I am guessing. I will look into buying multivitamins in hollands then and getting the tea spray from your site. Thank you so much for the response x
I was just saying to myself after I finished my current shampoo I want to mix an Ayurvedic one since my hair really loves the henna gloss, the oil and teas... thanks for sharing this awesome info!
justluvme7 Have you tried coating your hair with oil at the end of your routine? You can try coconut oil. Or mix that coconut oil with grape seed oil if you want a lighter oil.
justluvme7 hello if you mix oils like Olive oil or grapeseed oil with your conditioner and leave a little bit of the conditioner in your your har should stay moist also in a spray bottle put some water and a little bit of oil on your hair each day and sleep on a satin pillowcase Cotton pillowcase will dry your hair
Black soap is what I use on my face; and uses Naptural 85 DIY shampoo recipe(Am new here). In fact I just made some. I have to try your recipe. This soap is all you need; It does the job. Thanks for sharing.
@@dameoftruth4022 AAVE is a dialect you need to get used to. "Mines" is how many african americans just say "my own" Stop the ignorance and allow people to express themselves FREELY and culturally. Thanks
I think you should be yourself. Makes you more relatable. Love the videos. I started researching ayurvedic hair care and I love it. Thank you so much you videos truly help.
You are too funny in the beginning of this video. I so glad you did a DIY on this, I have been doing diy black soap shampoo for a while now. It is extremely helpful because I have psoriasis of the scalp and any other shampoo seem to irritate or not do anything to my scalp. My recipe is a little different but I will definitely try this out. Thanks Love
Have you heard of anyone damaging their hair using the henna mask and henna gloss? Since I started doing this I noticed I am finding a lot of hair that has broken off... and I mean really broken off.. very short pieces. That is very unusual for my hair. I religiously deep condition each time after I do a protein treatment so I am not sure why this happened to me. I can only figure it has to be the henna mask and gloss and that it is too strong for my hair. And I have only done the henna mask 2 or 3 times and each time without henna... only the cassia, aloe vera powder and fenugreek powder (because I didn't want my hair to change colors).. and maybe the henna gloss for about 2 or 3 months each weekend . Doing this is considered a protein treatment correct? As of now I have stopped the henna mask and henna gloss and am only deep conditioning until my hair repairs itself. Any advice is helpful. Thanks
3carra it could be that you are using too frequently. I have not heard of this before I think give it a break for a while. I would also suggest if you wish to start up again use one ingredient at a time in a strand test and see how your hair responds
3carra that is interesting...i noticed breakage and chalked it up to stress but in any case i decided to stop using the gloss for now...it cld still be stress.😕
Hi 3carra. We haven't heard of this result as well. Were you using a full strength henna mask and then the henna gloss every weekend? I would take @CURLYPROVERBZ advice and not use it as much. These products can be extremely strengthing so you have to make sure you are really balancing it with a lot of moisture. If I may ask, what are you mixing the gloss with? If it is just a conditioner it may not be enough moisture for you and you may need to use it with an avocado or banana. Also, where on the head has the hair broken off? That can be very telling as well because there could be other contributing factors.
3carra I have used it twice every few weeks and once in between those weeks. And deep condition each time. My hair is loving the treatment. Slacking off next month to once a week since it will be cold here.
Love all of your unique ideas for hair growth. I just did a big chop to restart my hair growth journey. I have been natural since 2012. Just needed a new change. Because i take meds and i've seen little growth. If you come up with something that can bypass my meds i will be first on your new list of new discoveries.
Hi, I met you at the Belle Bar event in Brooklyn. It so nice to meet and see the mane in person. I really like your Ayurvedic oil recipe. I shared it with my mom and she likes it too.
Black Soap!! We (Talking about my wife) had not a clue black soap was so amazing for natural hair! thanks this is great for my wife & girls.. God bless
Just bought some online! I’m trying to stop using normal liquid shampoo because honestly my hair was so bad very fine and would get greasy the day after I washed it. It wouldn’t grow and I hated it. I started using a lush bar shampoo it’s amazing (Jason and thee argan oil) and that’s working great but I am exited to try this! Thankyou x
This video was so very helpful...there is so much information out there for a beginner, which is fabulous but also overwhelmimg...I plan to start with the African Black Soap DIY Shampoo
I almost ony shampoo with african black soap (along with the moroccan blck soap), my hair thanks e greatly. Thank you for the video, great advices as usual . I have been following your Ayruveda oriented recipes (gloss) since 1 month or so and my hair is really soft and shiny, thank you from a '4C dry hair owner :)
I know that I am notoriously bad at listing where things can be bought from and ingredients etc... Many of you rightly call me out so I have compiled an amazon list where you can in one click see all my recommendations #tryingtogetmyhouseinorderbeforematernityleaveboos - a.co/fAR4bNH

Thanks a lot
its not just being impatient for the actual recipe but sometimes it is just too much of details, too much explanation - almost repetitive for every product in every video !!
Hey Love did you like or not like the playful intro and the little interruption from Little Jaiyah cakes? I thought it would be nice to leave things slightly less edited and natural or do you prefer my more polished vids. Comment below
Curly Proverbz Definitely loved it!!
Curly Proverbz I love this format!
Curly Proverbz I liked it, keep up the good work 🤗🌌🤗
I liked hearing the little one in the video. When making your DIY hair oil, do I add vitamin C powder or leave it out of the mix?
Curly Proverbz hey if I use the gloss, tea and oil do I still need to do a protein treatment
I swear by African Black soap. I use it on my face. My hair. My whole body. I’ve long stopped using store bought soap on my body. And my skin is so clear and healthy. So is my scalp. I swear by this stuff!

EVERYTIME, I search a new natural product my girl pops up!!! I was gifted a pound of black soap from Ghana I'm so excited to try.

You literally changed my hair from dry to AMAZING. I love you!!
i've used black soap all my life on my body, but only started using it on my scalp due to my alopecia. victoria mason that would be such an amazing colab video/series!!!! They are both my favorites! ❤️
I would love to collaborate with her... I really admire her work.
Thank you... I would love to make it happen

Sooo happy to see this video!! I just bought some African black soap and had wanted to make a shampoo but hadn't found quite the right recipe. I've been using your ayurvedic recipes and my hair is finally thriving!!! Thank you girl!
Girl I’ve been using the rhassoul clay on my hair and it’s been blessing my hair and making my curls pop! Thank you for introducing me to it!!!
I actually ordered African black soap last week and it's expected to arrive tomorrow! I'm so happy to have learned this is great for my hair as well.
Really appreciate the DIY aspect to your videos. Being natural (to me) does not just mean your hair but also your whole self-care regimen. Stick to the things in their most pure form :)

Just made this yesterday, added in some neem, hibiscous, and shikakia and OMG!! my hair felt clean, soft and the shine was crazy!!!!
can you share your recipe for it? I would love to try it in my hair routine
Please share your recipe
Sista, I love the oil, best thing ever. I was 2.5 to tailbone before oil. now 1.5 cause got trim. Loving it and you. God Bless you and family.
You must be reading my mind 😊😊😊💕I have been planing to move onto African black soap only and who i see posting a recipe today ?? You !! Thank you so much Miss CP. Loads of love ❤️🙏🏾
You know what they say about great minds ... I think it is a sign xo
I made this shampoo and I love it! Thank you for sharing your recipe. Should I keep it refrigerated to preserve it between shampoos?
After trying many shampoos I finally came across this argan life hair growth products which are absolutely worth the price that you pay for it.
Hi Nina. The CurlyProverbxXBelleBar products are made right here in the U.S. We are located online. U.S. based shipping is $5.00
Good to know and thank you very much for replying. I will be purchasing for sure now.
WOW WOW WOW .... I am floored 23 inches! That is amazing. I do turn away alot of sponsored work but if a company that aligns with my ethos and has quality products I am ofcourse happy to share that. As Belle Bar says they are based in the US.
Yes please sell in the USA.
HI. we do sell in the USA. Our company is based out of NYC.
I mixed shakakai powder in with ABS shampoo mixture (African Black Soap) My hair loved it. The curls just popped. Thank you.
I use black soap on my skin and it’s great for getting rid of acne!! Must try it on my hair!!!💖💖💖
You look like Corrine Bailey
Raye the singer from the
Uk. England
She's worth listening to.
Joyce
You hair is nice.
Your videos are so AWESOME!!! Thank you for helping naturals like myself who continue to find ways to fall back in love with there hair after watching your videos!🤗
I just ordered my tea rinse!!! I'm so excited ooooo yeah yeah yeah and I think I like it.
I have been using black soap, but not on a consistent basis. Glad to see this video!!!
Just watched this video! I know you've been asking for videos we want you to remake and I think this is a fun one to revisit. Maybe an updated African black soap shampoo 🙌🏼
Thanks hun x
Funny enough I filmed something similar this week
Yes! This is a great idea!
Denise T thank you! So glad your having great results.... The Grimwades are so precious how did I link you to them?
This is making me want to wash my hair even more! I’ve been dealing with shoulder and wrist pain alternating on both sides for the past month. Trying to detangle, wash, deep condition, and twist with only 1 arm is impossible. Hopefully I can try this recipe soon.
The song in the beginning is Ife' by Youngbodzy, someone from Beautycanbraid channel just let everyone know about 3 days ago. I've been searching for a long..... time 🤗
I absolutely love African Black Soap. I make a shampoo from it as well. THE BEST !!!
I didn’t think to add Ayurvedic herbs to my black soap. I’m patiently waiting on the challenge I want my hair down to my butt
BeBeLewinsky soon come will be doing it at the end of the year or first week of January
+Curly Proverbz Can t wait !! 💕😊
Challenge on. I have crotchets in now, but, I’m going to get some black soap right now, make this and wash my hair underneath and my son and my skin too. My hair is already neck length but my edges aren’t right and it’s not thick anymore.
Me too.... Let’s do it! 😊
Lol but true down to the butt.
Omg...I love this shampoo...it's the best ever... compared to other this is my number 1 .. best feeling to my hair and it not stiff and dry feeling...most time I feel I don't need to condition it.. love love love black soap shampoo
I really want to try this for my seborrheic dermatitis. Look at sis coming through with another DIY lol.
Haha girl you know i am trying out here. You should find it very beneficial for your scalp 💜💜
I've been making black soap shampoo for months. Just perfected my 6 month trail and error recipe.
Ignore him. He needs to stop complaining like a child. If he can’t stand it then tell him to go out the room until you’re done.
Curly Proverbz sorry for the delayed response, coconut oil, jbco, amla oil, grape seed oil, peppermint oil, jojoba oil
BRi its why I always do it when he goes to work on a weekend knowing weekends are my days off...
Fawziah Tawakali black soap safe for muslim i mean all halal stuff?
Whoa I didn’t know bc did that. Which one were/are you on
I get so excited when I see other couples similar to my husband & I (black & Indian).
So glad your hair is thriving xox
+Curly Proverbz i used the henna before but it gets my hair drier :s
+Curly Prover
I will try to get the ingredients because I’m desperately trying to regrow my hair. It’s been very difficult changing from tropical weather to this weather in England and the hard water certainly didn’t help, but after watching your clips I feel hopeful, because I love my hair and just want it long again. So thanks for sharing 😊
This seems like just what I need. My scalp has been so irritated lately and I'm not sure why. How often do you use this shampoo in comparison to the rhassoul clay?
Tabitha Tucker I will use it till it's mostly done and then go back to my clays just to change it up a bit.
Hi, do you use it once a week or twice a week
I use the black soap shampoo by-weekly because it makes detangling my hair a bit of a nightmare. I have lessened my use of shampoo, even this one which I love, because they tangle my hair. So I use a cowash and now a clay more often.
Thank you so much for sharing this recipe, I tried the black soap shampoo with some leftover soap and rosemary oil, just a trial without the Vit-E and glycerin and my hair loved it.... I’m definitely going to try your full recipe. Once again thank you 🙏🏽
I absolutely love your channel!! Not sure if the question has been asked but what are your thoughts on this chebe craze and how would you say it compares with Ayurvedic powders, thank you curly keep up the amazing content ❤️
avis ware yes I have some in the mail coming to me now. Can't wait to try it and give me thoughts
Curly Proverbz please where did you get the chebe from
Thank you so much for your reply and you ALREADY know your review will be the deal breaker, have an amazing weekend ❤️
Directly from Chad but also gonna buy some from amazon to compare. One of the OGs in Chad contacted me and is sending it my way.
Haha ... I think my only concern is leaving it in my hair for the suggested length of time.
Wow! I am currently stuck at armpit length when my natural hair is stretched and have been for awhile now. I have been trying to figure out why my hair is at a standstill and shedding. I am so glad I found you. I am going to try all your tips.
are you going to do a hair growth challenge
Yes love watch out for it at the end of the year xox
This is great! I just took down a protective style and wash day is tomorrow. All these ingredients I have at home right now I'm definitely gonna try this ☺️ thanks for sharing!
Bentonite Clay vs Rhassoul Clay... Which one is better for your hair? Or are they the same?
ValQuay I like rhassoul better
Rhassoul Clay for me. Hands down. Leaves your hair soft and manageable. I love ❤️ it
Great Q from my research Rhassoul clay is most beneficial
I like Rhassoul clay.
I heard Bentonite clay can dry out your hair.
I would recommend you start with a gloss and a good butter and moisturing DC to mis your ayurvedic gloss in as a basic. x
Curly Proverbz thank you so much for replying back to me.
Hey girl!!! I love Jaiyah!! Put her in more videos! I need to get on the Ayurvedic Hair journey, but I need a starting point that isn’t SOO expensive! I need HELP with a daily, weekly, monthly routine!
Just a question as we are making at home how long can we store this Shampoo???
In the refrigerator, I can store mine for 1 week. Anything beyond that you should freeze.
Is there no need for a preserative? You mixed Oil and water?
Thank you.
Soap is the emulsifier
(You mentioned about balancing oil etc so you hair doesnt break?)
Thank you
Hey Love Glosses themselves tend to be balanced. They may also be used with a tea and an oil of your choice should balance nicely providing it does not contain vitamin C or MSM. XOX
Curly Proverbz thanks so much!💖
I have been using a diy ABS shampoo for almost a year (Nov wld make it) I add ACV, glycerine, watever essential oils i have on hand (mostly lavender, lemon and geranium) and olive oil!
Thalia Elie its a deep conditioner
Because of this recipe, I immediately bought Organic Afrikan Black Soap from Amazon! yeyy!!!I believe in you, Curly Proverbs! Thanks!
Curly Proverbz I am there lool that bell was pressed from day one discovering your channel x love your light!
I was just saying to myself after I finished my current shampoo I want to mix an Ayurvedic one since my hair really loves the henna gloss, the oil and teas... thanks for sharing this awesome info!
Help please!!! How do I keep the moisture in, with high porosity hair? 2 days after wash day my hair is extremely dry? Thank u!!!
justluvme7 Have you tried coating your hair with oil at the end of your routine? You can try coconut oil. Or mix that coconut oil with grape seed oil if you want a lighter oil.
Butters and oils work well
Curly Proverbz Yes I use both heavily...but after two days it's completely dry.
justluvme7 hello if you mix oils like Olive oil or grapeseed oil with your conditioner and leave a little bit of the conditioner in your your har should stay moist also in a spray bottle put some water and a little bit of oil on your hair each day and sleep on a satin pillowcase Cotton pillowcase will dry your hair
Dorys Meaux thank u.
Black soap is what I use on my face; and uses Naptural 85 DIY shampoo recipe(Am new here). In fact I just made some. I have to try your recipe. This soap is all you need; It does the job. Thanks for sharing.
I bought mines and my mom said “ew what is that”💀
It's 'mine' not mines.
@@dameoftruth4022 AAVE is a dialect you need to get used to. "Mines" is how many african americans just say "my own"
Stop the ignorance and allow people to express themselves FREELY and culturally. Thanks
I think you should be yourself. Makes you more relatable. Love the videos. I started researching ayurvedic hair care and I love it. Thank you so much you videos truly help.
Where did you purchase the block of Black Soap in that form ?
Jasmine J offline amazon
Princess Rainbow the specific brand she used is Sky Organics.
3carra do you balance it out with the equal amounts or more of moisture? Maybe, your products for moisture aren't providing you with enough.
Can you just make the mixture , bottle it and send me your PayPal info thanx lol
Love the video, adding your daughter in gives it a relaxed feel, which is always great when during a DIY in my opinion.
I cringe every time a UA-camr reverses the video 😣
Dorisse Miller heehee how come? Does it creep you out?
Curly Proverbz I don't know what it is exactly but it gives me hives, sorry, I love you tho
Dorisse Miller how funny... I love that part of her videos lol
rose budd sorry it just creeps me out
Lol I think it’s just kinda overplayed
Yes, we would love more of these types of videos!! I ordered all that I'll need to make this shampoo!! I couldn't be more excited!!
I just bought my first black soap and then came looking for you. Thank u x
My hair loc'd hair loves the black soap, feels soft and light after washing.
Omg who would have ever thought.... I’m so trying this!
This is right on point, working on a full DIY wash day video! Can't wait to try This!
Patiently waiting for your hair growth challenge girl! LOVE YOUR VIDS x
Also, How long does the shampoo last for?
