Miri Lazure My goal is to keep practicing with shampoos. The more I learn, the more I will share with you all. The more oils you have in a surfactant system, the less foam/lather you will have. It will affect your cleansing agent. There are 2 and 1 shampoos that can be creamy with a lot of oils, but they are very mild as far as cleansing goes. If you are looking for a more gentle, moisturizing shampoo; then 2 in 1s may be the best option. I will look into it 😊💜

Black soap ph is around 10 -10.5 which is fine for me but just do a vinegar rinse or lime juice rinse and cool the water down to close pores and your fine

Black Soap is best if you use cationic emulsifier which are hard to remove from the hair and the sebum which builds up in the scalp, it's why you so may naturals have dryness they are not properly removing the emulsifiers
Hi yaya, thanks for the video. Very educational. Did you get a static feeling when you used your black shampoo? I made my own shampoo and it is very clarifying but it also felt static? Is that normal? However, just like you stated, I deep conditioned almost immediately and my hair felt great afterwards
@@tianalove2058 hey Tiana, static feel means your hair conducts electricity and when you touch your hair it feels hard and sticky... thats the best way I can describe it to be fair. Not sure if that makes any sense at all.

The black soap has a good amount of oils and I would be careful to add more. There is a thin line between needing an emulsifier to combined the water and oil and not needing one. If you add oils, make sure you use a diluting agent/solubilizer and a very small amount of oil. I hope this helps.

Could psyllium husk powder be used as your thickener and solubilizer? You did well showing off your new knowledge but it is slipping away from the natural theme of African soap. If you insist I will follow your instructions but I like using natural products that comes from nature.

I used it on my face safely with no irritation. However, I advice everyone to test a small area of your skin to make sure there is no irritation. Black soap is a powerful cleanser and works best to strip away oils and build up. For those who suffer from dry, sensitive skin; I would be cautious of it. I have diluted the black soap in this formula and added other ingredients to make it milder, but I would still test it first. I hope this helps 😊💜

Black soap is a powerful cleanser and works best to strip away oils and build up. For those who suffer from dry, sensitive skin; I would be cautious of it. I have diluted the black soap in this formula and added other ingredients to make it milder, but I would still test it first. I hope this helps 😊💜

@@yvettebooth67 I believe it depends on the potency. It will depend on your skin type and needs. I use it every other day 3 days or so on my face followed by a moisturizer.

Search for a video that doesn't use black soap as a clarifier, better yet, find a video for a regualr everyday shampoo.
