ONE OF THE ALL TIME GREAT SONGS OF ALL TIME !
RIP Skip, such a sad loss, thank you for your great music
Skip passed away today. So sad. This song will always have a place in my heart.
Luckily I saw them in concert over a decade before Skip passed away. The best concert I've been to since, and I've been to a lot of great ones.
Massive hit with me.❤
Bless you skip 💜🎶
Love your band forever Skip Prokop. Thank you for so many great songs! Love you!!
RIP sir. You were a fondly remembered period in my life. Thanks.
Had an opportunity to work as an assistant to the Manager in the summer of 1970. The stories I could tell everyone would fill at least 6 hours. A exceptionally diverse group of people . It was amazing that they found common ground in performing some really terrific music. The tour with the Winnipeg Royal Ballet (A Ballet High) was particularly amazing.
Rest in Peace Skip. You leave a legacy and inspirations for multiple generations. Lighthouse will be Canada Hall of Fame inductees after 50 years of legendary music. I was happy to have seen you from the 70's through to 2010.
RIP Skip Procop. Miss ya bud.
This was real music which made you feel so good . Can’ t find nothing like this today!!!!!!
Ronn (Skip) Prokop, my favourite drummer as a kid growing. Huh 42 years later I'm still playing, so is Skip. Lighthouse rule
Musicians,are like,a damn fine wine!
This song has one of the most dynamic , strong and inviting intro s there is. What a total treat.
The very first rock concert I ever attended (Rainbow Stage, Winnipeg, 1972) featured these guys.....still a great band!
Just after Skip passed away, the performing Superdogs at the Toronto CNE did some races and tricks to Lighthouse's music. Silly as that sounds, I just thought it was so respectful and a great tribute to a Canadian giant
Love Lighthouse they were such a great band
They ARE a good band. Check out their website.
Found this group and this song on A K-tel Album in 1972 and was hooked.
What a fabulous intro , the songs just grabs you and reels you in.
Miss you Skip you were Lighthouse love this song RIP There will never be another era like the 60s 70 s best music on the planet and Canadian
some of the best bands came out of Canada
Used to hear this on the Big 800 CKLW
One of the greatest bands ever, I have all their LP's, Skip is gone, so is Lighthouse, you can't replace a giant like him !
Skip and Bob may be gone, but Lighthouse isn't. They still tour! And they still sound great. Danny sounds just like Bob. And Skip's son Jamie has taken over the drums.
Just watching this video they sound like they did back then. That' awesome.
GREAT horn band and GREAT song!!!
AWESOME BAND, MUSIC,SONG, ROCK ON CANADA.!!!!
An AM classic. Good to hear it again.
K-TEL USA Great Songs From 1973? Anyways, I had this album way back when.... LOVE PRETTY LADY BY LIGHTHOUSE.
Heard this today on my local station. Brings back so many memories.
Likewise, Richie; CKWW (AM 580 from Windsor) has this song in its daily repertoire.
love Lighthouse so proud of our Candian Talent RIP Skip Prokop and Bob McBride
One of my fave Lighthouse songs! Love Lighthouse
As an American I hope I don't step on any toes but these guys were streets ahead of Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears and the rest - probably more on a level of other should-have-been-greats like Ballin' Jack. I saw Lighthouse at The Fillmore East and at the Atlantic City Pop Festival among other places and they were great.
R I P Skip and Bob !
Saw them in Belleville in 2011 with Skip on drums and in 2014 with his son as he was sick at that time.
This is my favorite song.
R.I.P. Skip.
Would still like to see them live!!!
RIP Skip i met him at my sisters wedding 🎉
R.I.P Skip Prokop, hope you can find a jam up in heaven......

I remember this song growing up. My sisters had the radio on almost all day, while we did our housework. Memories.
RIP Skip Prokop, founding member. Great drummer, songwriter and vocalist. wrote and sings this tune.

I agree!!!! Awesome!!!!! So glad I found this live version! Thanks.
Some of my favorite people on the planet. My very dear friend, Skip Prokop. Much love always my friend.
Still A Remarkable Band.
Love this song. Should have been a bigger hit.
Larry Starstruck it was here in Canada (#8 on our charts) And believe it or not #1 in Hawaii!
probably my fav. song ever. way back in the 70's I would go to the dances and ask the dee jay's to play 'pretty lady' . ha to some of them later on in years whenever they seen me they said' pretty lady' and we would all h ave a good chuckle. later on in years when my daughter was born; she played the trumpet . it reminded me of 'pretty lady .
\
Love this band...Still sound magnificent!!
One of my fave songs by Lighthouse. RIP Skip.
I remember standing outside the Pennyfarthing, I think it was, anyway it was in Yorkville, I was listening but couldn't get in cause I was only 17. Still sounds great, a lifelong fan I am. :)
I have this video taped from when I just saw you guys play here July 29/16 in Barrie! Thank you for an awesome performance and making me feel like a teenager again! You guys ROCK!!
It's the real Lighthouse alright! All three original members right there: Skip Prokop (drums and vocals), Paul Hoffert (keyboards) and Ralph Cole (guitar). See them November 1, 2012 at the Sanderson Centre for Performing Arts in Brantford,, Ontario!

Great song
Great song!
Oh Man a gem! They still sound great!
LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!
lived it 50 years ago ... in Port Credit
Played with Bob in 74'. A kid from Van. with years of playing and writing and passion. Trying to get out of the clubs and 6 nights a week. Backed Badfinger, Allman Bros., and played non-stop. Went to Toronto to "Make it" No business sense, but a real love of music, and bands. Notice Skip is singing Bob's song. So sad. No blame. Just so sad. So much opportunity for proven talent. Best to all, and hope the remaining members have had a full life, as I have.
+Ross Barrett
Did you play at my highschool...Thistletown Collegiate? it was right after Bob left Lighthouse.
They played at my highschool, Etobicoke Collegiate, a bit south of Thistletown CI. All I could think at the time was that I couldn't believe a band this good had to play high schools after being so popular on radio, but I consider myself blessed to have heard them live, ever. They probably barely made a cent for the gig, with such a big band.
To take nothing away from Bob, who was a brilliant singer, and sadly missed, Skip is singing the song that he wrote and the song that he performed on the album. Bob never sang this song. He was already out of the band.
Bob did sing the song. Check youtube
Skip originally sang this song .. so this is true to the original .
Gorgeous.
I love this song
Always loved this song! Thanks Skip! R.I.P
Pray for Skip people. He is in hospital. Going to see him tonight. I love that man. Such a gentle spirit.
