Serbia is NOT close to Europe, Serbia is Europe. Central-southeast Europe . Since forever
Let it be bro, we have a American on our hands here. Let's be happy he knows about Serbia at least lol.
Since 1400 years, Our Survival and Kings show egnough of our vision about freedom, some people tried to take us our freedom like ottomans, Franz ferdinand, Hitler, they all lost to put Serbs on knee.
True
Exactly what's wrong with people, haven't ever seen a map ?
And Serbia is NEVER going to be a part of EU. We will rather die for our independence and will NEVER accept Claus Scwab's Agenda!
I moved to Serbia from California 4 years ago. Personal freedom went up like 100x. Best 4 years of my life hands down.
Has anything changed in the last few months?
You could move to Texas, Georgia or Florida with same success from shitty cali

I have never seen an American in Serbia wtf is this
Can you blame people for liking serbia? Serbia is awesome if you work remote or are an entrepreneur from a legacy brand country, serbs are very friendly/warm (especially Compared to Western and Eastern Slavs), food is great, awesome culture, and my God, the women too are so attractive! Add serbs actually have cojones and fight for their rights unlike the Karens in Western Europe. Sounds like paradise to me.
Serbia has always been a mix of both worlds, which sometimes drives me crazy. We're so mediocre in everything but ig medicore is just becoming more popular way of living...
Lmao good luck living Here. Sounds Like you have a fairy tail in your head. But i think the same about USA. Good paychecks, beatiful women (the ones that are not overweight) and beatiful land
As a Serb living in the US (I’m younger), I don’t really find many American females attractive, but the other day I went to a Serbian festival and the first girl I saw was well dressed, pretty, a bit of makeup, and it was like that for the other girls too
Too many rude, bully guys in Serbia.

Subotica is the place to be actually, especially with fast trains to Belgrade coming in a few months and good connections to Hungary, Romania and Croatia. Love the city, its architecture, its spirit, and its people.

If you are broke and you move to the Balkans, you will have a rough time.
If you are reasonably wealthy or have decent savings and move to the Balkans, you will possibly have the best time of your life regarding purchasing power, business opportunities, pool of capable workers, abilities to get things done with less regulations (one way or the other), overall quality of life and greater security than almost anywhere else.
Many narrow minded people don't realize that.
If you are creative enough, you can make around 70-80% of the income that you make in the legacy brand countries, but you definitely keep more of it!
Times have changed since 10 years ago!
Which place doesnt suck if your broke?
@@TheLayawn Canada/U.S, in my own experience. You got opportunities to make a decent amount reasonably fast if you arrived broke as I did. That's still not possible in the Balkans, especially with no work experience.
The "west" is a workers paradise, that's why we see all the broke people fighting to enter, while the wealthy escape because for many people there are no longer good reasons to stay if they got the money problem sorted out.

My partner and I are from Australia and spent two months in Serbia during the pandemic, Serbia was the only place to take us with 0 restrictions flying from sri lanka, and Wow! One of our favourite countries (also looking at moving there now)
Europe is not a synonym for Quality of life anymore.. been to Serbia and the freedoms you got het are far better than Western Europe which is declining!
I was in Serbia for a week, and left Belgrade to London for a meeting a few days ago, although I am going back to Serbia, to take a second shot, but there is one thing you never mentioned, in Belgrade, I stayed at the city center, Five Points Square. And to go to restaurant after 8 PM, a COVID Pass is required, although both negative PCR Test and vaccine certificate are acceptable, it’s definitely not that “free”.
But I agree, Serbian people aren’t like the western karens and woke mob, and they don’t wear masks. But this is definitely something worth noting.
I think the best thing about Serbia is the girls, amazing girls, been there for a week and scored a girl. People are good at English too.
The weather is very dull, rainy, and cold. Which is similar to my hometown. But it’s worth mentioning too.
The city honestly doesn’t look rich at all, very dirty and broken streets, even around the center of Beograd.
Safety wise Serbia has been quite safe, at least in Belgrade. I was robbed in Rio, Brazil earlier in November, so I think safety is definitely important to me.
Food wise, Serbia has great and affordable food if you make regular or higher American income.
Not trying to be unpleasant here, I started to follow you in 2019 December when I graduated from university in San Jose, California, when you had maybe 30,000 subscribers.
But I personally don’t see much economic growth in Serbia, I can be wrong, just by walking around the city for 8 days in a row, what I experience is mostly broken streets, because Uber is not available in Serbia, so I had to walk a lot. However, safety, Serbian people, and affordability are amazing.
Plus on that no one is moving to Serbia 😊
There is car:go and blablacar ,we don't use Uber yeab
It was 10pm then the restriction moved to 8pm and green cards advanced to QR code, digital form. First of all it makes our country more safe and keeps the numbers down and second, we also applied the same rules that were already applied within the EU. Surprised? Serbia is nothing like Ireland and UK weather. People not wearing masks is a thing here, I don't see it being much different than New York. If you like New York and their economy then go there or stay in UK. Go to your London actually.

Serbia is fully occupied by USA/ Nato since the colour revolution with Otpor in 2000. This includes Kosovo. So Serbia is a vassal state of the West. They control the banks, all public institutions, the military, the media etc. It’s a nice place to live if you have a lot of money and don’t actually have to make a living in Serbia. Also if you have no concerns about the effects of depleted uranium post Nato bombing. The cancer rate in Serbia is through the roof as an effect of Nato aggression
You talk rubbish. USA cannot control Serbia ,mostly Serbians are slaves to Russians
Sure, but nobody talks about the dark side. Only people who actually live there all their life know the right picture of Serbia.
Finally someone who knows what actually happened everyone just says NATO aggression doesn't exist and other stuff
This is not true who control military what public institutions?
If you get the chance to go to Europe go to Serbia it’s so nice the people are nice and the food is so good and the people who give the food are SO SO nice and if your a kid you can go somewhere alone no one will try kidnapping you cause there is so many good people who would protect you if someone garbs you

Just got back from Serbia. Loved the people and the vibe. There is definitely a gritty side to the city but we felt safer in Belgrade than in most major cities in the U.S. Saw lots of single women walking home alone at night with no fear. Funny observation: lots of people walk their dogs in Belgrade without a leash and it’s not a problem. Don’t know if there’s some secret dog camp all they get sent to but I expected to see multiple dog altercations and saw none. My wife and I couldn’t believe it. Anyway, we can’t wait to go back. идемо Србијо!!!
I wish I could live in Serbia 🇪🇬
It's not hard to move here...where are you from?
You probably can
I'm searching for an apartment in Tirana. I just came from 3 months in Belgrade. But you need to leave for 3 months after 3 months. I can stay in Albania for 12 months and then leave for 3 months. Of course after 6 months of residence in a calendar year your income is subject a 23% tax. But, a half hour drive West of Tirana, from Shkëmbi i Kavajës to Golem (about 3 km) is some of the best beaches on the Mediterranean.
I started visiting Albania about 2 years ago and interest as a expat location is increasing. COL is almost exactly the same as Serbia.
COST OF LIVING
How much per month were you paying in rent in Belgrade? May go there for 3 months prior to one year in Tirana.
@@coughforme21 Rent in Belgrade is like 350 euros for locals, 450 for foreingers, more or less. This is for a totally decent place, but I know many local people paying 100-200 euro but I wouldnt recommened their places.
Hm Serbia is perhaps cheaper than other countries on average but the cost of their electronics is more expensive than the Usa for example. They also have high import fees than other eu countries and while their groceries may be “cheap”, you are getting a much smaller size . I moved to Serbia from nyc and I can tell you that Serbia is not so cheap as it was 2 years ago. The only reason people should move is if they like safety and relatively cheap land. The hospitals are outdated, 95 percent of restaurants and cafes are smoking which is unhealthy, buying simple electronics is jacked up 5 x more. The air quality in winter is horrific.I enjoy being here for the meantime but I can’t say I recommend it long term unless you are investing in real estate.
Moving from NY to Serbia is crazy actually. It's only worth for you, because it's cheaper for you, because you coming from much better country. If you born here, and live, it's not great at all. All money you make, you giving it for rent or for the stuff that keeps you going in life. You can't save, etc. While people in States can afford normal life, vacations, etc, while doing regular job. Beside all that, everything is priced kinda similiar compared to States, and many stuff are actually cheaper, example, for clothes.
I wish I can move to NY one day, but let me ask you, why you moved to Serbia? I want to know, because I'm interested in moving to States. If the Real Estate a thing, that's a low key worth thing for someone who coming from States. It's expensive for Serbs, but for Americans it can be easy.
thnx for info

Weren’t they just protesting a Lithium mine? Just curious about all that…
Yep, and the expropriation law was retracted.
Yeah, official protest was against amendment to expropriation law (but it was unofficially against Rio Tinto/Jadar Lithium Project). The protestors got their demands met, but that just means the law won't be chnaged - the lithium mine project, for better or for worse, is probably going to continue.
@@ukilectric could it still be built even with the law change?
@@bepreparedforwhatscoming4975 Not unless people willingly sell their properties to the company, which they are hardly refusing.. The law was supposed to be about government forcibly buying your property if its proclaimed to be for “public good” or something like that, in other words you would have to sell your property to corporation if government decided it would be good for counry (in economic sence). And thank God people stood up, our government is not great at all but people here are ready to stand up when it comes to what we want. The example were massive protest all over the country 2 months into pandemic when government decided to install curfews and lockdowns again, thankfully they came to an agreement with people after a month that there will no longer be curfews and lockdowns in the country and that government will find other ways to deal with the pamdemic and so I think we were one of the few if not the only country in Europe that didnt have lockdowns and curfews since June 2020
